Can you help me? As soon as I enable any kind of bass improvement over Bluetooth, the bass starts overlaying the mids and highs, so when the bass comes in, the mids and highs get really quiet. Happens even with only bass boost in the equalizer.

In my opinion the stock Samsung music player with dolby and original headset or an appropriate speaker system gives an amazing sound feeling...

Sounds rubbish to my ears. Very tinny and lacking bass and with weird phasing. Not good for music, that's for sure.

I'm third to stock Samsung music...but i do think Dolby with original headset is far from enough, it'll need better headset to feel the difference...
Sound from phone speaker? Personally, i don't really expect it much from a phone, virtual equalizer or bass boosting improvements from apps might works, but yeah i don't think it'll bring noticeable differences...

Hey!
I wonder if there's any sound booster mod for cm10.2 since the notes audio is just horrible low on my headphones. I'm using the sony ps3 pulse headset and it needs a bit higher volume on the phone for the bass to really kick in.
Thanks in advance !

I just got a new GPad GPE, I love it, but the speakers sound TERRIBLE.
Music sounds very muffled with a "tinny" quality. I haven't heard anything this bad on a portable device before.
Is this a common problem with GPads? Or should I look at sending it back.
Thanks!
Mine is fine as my other devices.
Read this which should help you make a decision. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2554567

If you are using my kernel, you can adjust the gain and other speaker settings using either Trickstermod or the Faux sound application. The driver for sound control in my kernel is not "the latest", and you will get told as much if you download the Faux app, but it is what works on our kernel. Adjusting from Trickster worked for me. It's not a total solution, but much, much better than nothing!

Ok then you may not require any audiophile rom to be installed on your phone as quality of audio does not depend on input device (partially). It mainly depend upon your output (may be speaker or headphones).
But sound processing is also a term you should glance at (good in our phone z2 plus as it has SD820):good:

DivineBeats 10.0
I use DivineBeats 10.0 Infinity on AEX 4.6. It is a single zip file with both Dolby and Viper. Give it a try and believe me you would be amazed to hear the sound quality. Moreover the sound effect can be applied globally.

What I hate Dolby is that it can't set different profile for different sound output. I don't want to apply any eq or sound mod for phone speaker as it tends to distort easily with my taste of sound for headphone/bluetooth speaker. This is the reason why I always refuse to use Dolby.

I am rooted, just want to have a better quality audio from the headphones (bundled earphone), and a bit loud if possible, because in some places the audio is tremendously low even at max volume! Any good audio mod available? Viper or anything as such?
Thanks in advance.
