Hallo,
Is somebody using AirDroid?
The very first time I tryed it on the GN it worked all very well.
Now I was trying to put some pictures on my phone but it appears that AirDroid can't recognize my phone or something. It doesn't show the battery % for example. And when selecting "files" it just tells me "errror loading folder undefined".
Did somebody else have this?
I've been using AirDroid pretty regularly for the last week or so and I haven't had any problems with it so far with the exception of some minor connectivity issues once in awhile.

I have no idea why it stopped working.
that's what it looks like to me: http://oi42.tinypic.com/1zwkrxj.jpg
Have you tried clearing app data and/or reinstalling?
Yes, both. Still same problem.
I had the same issue with files you describe in Firefox, and it worked in Chrome. I assumed it had something to do w/ my use of NoScript, as I'll have issues with sites sometimes despite everything on the page being whitelisted, but in any case you might give that a shot if you are in fact using Firefox.

I am using Chrome as well. OP should definitely try a different browser.
Yes, I'm using Firefox. But the only addon I am using that prevends AirDroid from working could be Adblock.
I try another browser but if Firefox really is the problem I'm not going to switch.
when i wanna play youtube always get "connection to server lost, touch to retry", i'm in sprint stock rom with mobile package data active, for internet is no problem, on wifi can play, when i tethering my phone as modem and i connect to my computer for play youtube is ok. it just cant play only in a phone.
somebody can help thanks.
Did you try clearing data and cache in apps? Or even uninstall and reinstall the app itself
sent from my GS3
Usually I just exit the app, hold the home button and clear all recent apps and then it works again.

Easy fast simple solution when this occurs and usually after an update. Just uninstall the app completely and then go back to google play store and redownload the app.
Have a great day!
I have been tried all the way ( clear, uninstall update etc) but still error... I tried to install other program 'tubemate' still cant connect /play the video, but when i download the video first and play later is no problem..
Maybe something wrong with my data package on my carrier??? Hmmm..
Thanks for all advise...

Same issue here. Reinstalling doesn't fix it.
Edit: But disabling Adblock Plus does fix it.

Ty, I've been hunting for a solution for some time now, and I didn't think of something like that.... It is true, when I disabled AdBlock Plus, I didn't see the error again.
Guess I either need a replacement for Adblock Plus, or something in it's settings to change?? hmmmm.
Again though, thanks again!!!!

wow thanks for this. It's been driving me insane. I removed Adblock Plus and it worked. So I installed AdAway and rebooted. Seems to still work fine also. So try that ad blocking app out. So far so good.
Solved ! ( apparently not related to AdBlockPlus)
To make a long story short, I don't have AdBlockPlus but i DO have DroidWall installed.
just forgot I had to allow "MediaServer" to access the internet (as well as YouTube of course) - problem solved.
This has been happening to me. I fixed it by going to manage apps. YouTube, Delete cache, delete data, uninstall updates and I clicked the turn off button. Ran cleanmaster app and removed junk files. Then I rebooted and turned youtube back on and now videos will play. I'm on the Galaxy S4 stock.
Hopefully this helps someone
By the way Facebook wouldn't play any videos it would say "can't play video" and now Facebook is playing the same videos that it couldn't before.

Thanks that did it for me as well. Have been searching on the internet but no real solution for people with a firewall or a privacy app (pdroid/xprivacy etc). But this made it work on my S4.
Thanks!

How about upgrading from that dinosaur you're using? Gingerbread is like 4 years outdated.
No AdBlock, Firewall, root or custom ROM
I have stock device 4.3 android (not Samsung btw.). As i said, no adblock/firewall/custom rom etc.
When I updated YouTube app, I got that connection problem.
I've tryed reinstalling, changing DNS1 and 2, clearing data... Nothing helped...
Any suggestions?

It's happening to me now too. But since mine's installed as a User App and not a System App, I can't just uninstall the updates, although I did try uninstalling it completely and reinstalling. No joy.
I've tried a dozen different things. You should know that lots of people post lots of "solutions", but for 95% of the users, none of them work.
I'm hurting especially bad, because it happens to me on both types of connections (4G & WiFi). I even tried a 3rd party YouTube app and that wouldn't work either.
All this since today's (or last night's?) v10.25.57 YouTube update!
I am running a Samsung.
Samsung Galaxy (SGH-M819N) Mega
KitKat 4.4.4 (Stock), Rooted
Thank You.

Hi,
I tried disabling AdAway and reverting back to the original Hosts file, but no joy.
This time, it's affecting both my 4G & WiFi connections. When this happened before, I could at least watch it on 4G.
The weird thing is, that if I'm not signed in, I can watch videos. But once I sign in, EVEN WHEN USING A 3RD PARTY YOUTUBE APP, I have the problem!
Yes, eventually a YouTube update will come through that will fix it (could be 6 months or so), but I'm thinking that something "underneath" it all got updated/changed at the same time, because otherwise;
Why would it affect me only when I sign in?
And if it was limited to only the YouTube app being updated and there isn't anything else being changed at the same time in the background where you don't see it, then how could 3rd party YouTube apps be affected when you sign in to them with your Google (Gmail) account?
See what I mean? Something else, "under the hood" simply must be going on, amen?
TTYL
Because it sure seems like it... I can get on most major websites (XDA, Google, youtube, Facebook, etc) just fine on my phone, but when I go to (nsfw alert!) xvideos.com and load a video there, or even on serebii.net it turns up as http error 504. However if I use wi-fi I can view these sites just fine.
Did T-mobile end up shafting us with this filter, or is this something I can correct? I've tried disabling everything related to knox (all six of the apps that appear when you search Titanium Backup for knox) and restarting, no dice.
EDIT: I've just tried wi-fi tethering with my note 3, and going to serebii.net still gives a error 504 timeout.
EDIT #2. Oh yeah, forgot to mention this is a stock firmware with root, knox warranty 0x1, with TWRP recovery installed. justin case there is or isn't an update released since Oct. 2nd to now, my baseband version is N900TUVUBMI7
Serebii probably isn't working cause even on wifi and 4G lte, it won't load. X videos works fine either way for me.

If you have AdAway or some other ad blocking system on your phone, I've seen some sites blocked when they are prefaced with an ad site, but other than that I've not seen any blocking.

Flash? What browser are you using. Flash is not supported by most now and you have to add flash to those that support it.
I meant to say the player the browser uses not sure if its flash but it just wont play any internet videos at all like before

Ahhh, big screen bieng used for noble purposes!
Theres no filter... I would delete Ad Away if you have it and install AdFree, then give it a go. It can also be due to all those sights bieng chock full of advertisements the TMO signal in your area just isnt good enough. Its going to try to load more then the other sights, and thats where 504 timeout errors can occur if page does not load in time properly.
run a traceroute on the phone on and off wifi to sites with the issue and see where it falters. You can also check ping, but check routing first. Use the apps on playstore with same name its TraceRoute & TracePing.
Okay. I'll be sure to give it a go tomorrow, for I have to work soon.. and yeah nowadays serebii.net is working again. Also my ad blocker is simply called AdBlock.

All I know is, its working just dandy on jedi rom & I havent had any issues with it. It replaced AdAway which Im sure theres a good reason for... west have you done the ping and trace tests yet? 504 is generally a time out issue so, give it a shot on wifi & also on tmos network. and how many bars do you have in area your trying it in?
No I have not tried those yet but I can assure that when I do try to load any sort of video on the stock browser or chrome or any browser I download I get the error timeout which is unusual . I'm on stock non rooted so don't know what the issue is I will run those test . By the way are you all having the prevention information notification, for some reason I believe it's that what is triggering the whole filtering

It's your ad blocker. I know adfree from bigtincan was down for a while, but it's working now, adaway and root toolbox causes too many problems.

Oh, and one more suggestion, quit watching porn and try to get real *****. Lol
Hi, got a s9 plus the other day and don't want to root it, so no Adaway for me. On my s8 I used dns66 and was fine with it, but as it seems all DNS based blockers bug out on the s9 as in they randomly kill data connections completely when switching between wifi and mobile data. Tried blokada, same thing.
I'm not super fine with Adhell / sabs either since it requires me to resign the packs, install everything new and get new knox keys every three months.
It's not a lot of work, but annoying still.
Is there any fix to the DNS blocking not working? Any other way to block? Or should I go to Adhell 3?

Please read my post.
What issues are you having with Blockada? You still see ads in Chrome only? Because you need to go to Chrome://flags, search "dns" and disable all the options found.
I don't have issues with this + Blockada + adguard dns servers.
I have exactly these issues as reported here.
https://github.com/julian-klode/dns66/issues/258
It's for dns66, but applies to any DNS based blocker. It's the same with blockada, I tried it. Samsung based software problem
I am using block this! , works ok.

This is probably the last blocker I'd use if I had a choice between blockada, dns66 and block this, since it has absolutely no options to configure it whatsoever or add hosts files, but indeed - this one seems to work where dns66 and blockada don't. I switched a bit between wifi and mobile and the connection didn't crash.
Using it in combination with Adhell 3 at the moment, since I set that up anyway today. But will try if block this works okay on its own once my Knox license runs out and I'd have to set up Adhell again.
Disconnect Pro seems to be working great so far.
Edit,
Nah block this only worked for a few hours. Same problem afterwards. All VPN based blockers do this. The vpn66 issue on github suggests this is s9 plus only. Maybe I should check the s9 plus subforum

I used to use Block This but it hasn't been updated in over a year. I started using Blokada and at first it seemed like it blocked too much but once I got the blacklist and whitelists figured out it has worked great. Plus when it was updated to 3 and then subsequent updates fixed the issues.

Better to do like this. Block this is working ok for days in the row.
For the other question, what to update, the blocking it's DNS based, not application. Only when the DNS server (actually lists) will not be updated anymore, then there will be problems.
But I am still searching for other solutions, as privacy issues can appear, not sure if it's the case for block this.
To be clear, the VPN blocking worked perfectly fine on my Galaxy S8. This seems to be a specific issue with the S9, maybe only plus, caused by the phone's firmware.
I found my mistake with Adhell (forgot to block port 53 for Chrome) and now everything is blocked fine. And no annoying VPN notification in the status bar all the time. Only issue is I'll have to update it every three months, but ok.
I'm using AdGuard and pretty happy with it: no ads seen at all.

I've been using Adguard too and it works incredibly well for blocking ads in nearly every app. The only concern I have with AdGuard is battery drain, however, I'm uncertain if that's related to AdGuard or a Samsung issue. I haven't had time to investigate it thoroughly yet.
no idea if this is a common, known practice already. try this and see if it works for you. just deny Android System Webview any internet access.
you may find a few apps simply won't work because they utilise it heavily but I also find far more internet based apps that you don't want to block stop delivering apps completely and just carry on without them.
if you find a pretty big popular app stops working drop a comment. so far it's nothing I'll miss on my end.
Try setting your private dns to: dns.adguard.com
Leave webview running then.
It kills all my app ads in the ones I tested but I have few.
Works well for me but occasionally some ad infested websites when using the browsers will get glitchy. Up to a few seconds delays and occasionally need to close/reopen. Most sites run fine though. Been using it for a week or so.
I'm using Adaway and AFWall+ so far, I'd normally have Xposed in some form and minminguard which still seems to work. without the latter it's only in app ads I didn't have a solution for.
I'll try changing my dns too, but more for keeping info away from google.
EDIT: just tried switching to that dns and my wifi went to connected no internet.
also I've experimented in denying internet to google play services and that seemed to work OK too but I didn't notice ads stopping.

Not wifi, 4G LTE.
I never use wifi. It let's me set apps to update by wifi only to keep them static
Wifi is also a security risk for me.
Disabling Google play Services doesn't stop any ads I'm aware off. I normally keep it disabled to shut it up, save battery and to keep find my device disabled.
Some apps won't run (or run as paid version) without Play Services (and some Playstore too) but many of those will if you activate them then Firewall block them, then disable Play Services.
It can be annoying as a reboot is needed to bring Playwhore back online. Lol, I rarely go there now plus it's not always running in the background.
Androids can run quit well for a long time with no updates of any kind.
Lol, my 10+ didn't get the jab
If the app doesn't need internet access Karma Firewall will stop the ad nonsense.
