The experience in Mi Max 2 is better, because there more Custom Roms or Customizations Kernels for Mi Max 2, and Mi Max 2 dont has problems with ARB.
In my opinion Mi Max 2 is the better!!
Mi Max 2 is better, because there more Custom Roms
yes mi max 2 the best
I own both and have the latest Havoc on my MM2..
I wouldn't trade by xiaomi.eu MM3 for anything... Well not until the MM4 comes out.

I use in my MM2 Miui 10 Debloate v2 by HardRoch83 and complete debloate with XiaomiADBFastbootTools.
This works fine.
I am decide, if Xiaomi apply ARB in MM4, i dont buy!

I'm looking to buy 8.4 inch tablet. From what I read, both are very good tablet. The difference of price here is about 70 AUD.
I don't really care about AMOLED vs LCD- both are fine.
I'll most probably run it on custom ROM. Tab Pro already has official CM support and established community. I'm not sure about Tab S, it's is too early to tell at this stage. I also notice Tab S is slightly thinner and lighter. Tab S runs on 3GB ram compared to 2GB of Tab Pro.
Probably you guys can give an opinion whether the price difference is worth it. Is there any other factor that makes one better than the other?
You have pretty much listed the differences, so it's just a matter of if you wish to save the $70.
Fingerprint scanner, thinner, lighter, AMOLED screen, extra Gb of Ram are the main differences.
If you plan to consume media, like watch TV/Movies/YouTube etc than the AMOLED screen is likely better for battery life, but if you mainly surf the web, than the LCD screen uses less battery.
As for CM11, the Tab Pro is only supported on the 4G Qualcomm Snapdragon version, technically the Exynos 5 Wifi version isn't supported officially.
The Tab S is currently getting a user made Exynos 5 version of CM11.
Good luck with you decision.

Which one can I make phone calls from the tablet itself? I know I will need the 4G version. But I heard a rumor that one of these you can use as an actual cell phone without sidesync
both got LTE version and can make call... how do i know? i owned both.

I wonder if both have 1x antenna since United states (where I am) uses 1x to make voice calls. This is good info I will do more research.

Do you know how can I tell the difference (before I buy) between those two version? Do they have different version code? All I know is the one officially supported is the WiFi version
Does the Tab S 8.4 suffer from the same wifi singal issue as the Pro 8.4? If you hold the bottom left of tablet in portrait mode or bottom right in landscape mode, wifi signal drops down very low and may even disconnect.
I just got a Tab Pro 8.4 and it does this, there is a thread in that forum where many others have the same exact issues. If Tab S solves this problem that along may make it worth it.

I had the pro 8.4 for a short while and I can confirm that the tab s 8.4 does not suffer with the same wifi problem. They have relocated the wifi antennae to a different part of the tab s.

to me its simple. if i were a person that gets a new tablet every 6 months to 1 year then i get the whatever but if i am a person that is closer to 2+ years then i get the best i can afford at the time.

The thing is, no device absolutely best another
More expensive doesn't always mean better
I was leaning to Tab S but I'm reconsidering my decision upon hearing that Tab Pro 8.4 might get better dev support due to Qualcomm SOC.
Can anyone who have tried both device or @edan1979 give your opinion whether Tab S really feels better at hand? (smaller dimension & lighter). I cannot give Tab Pro 8.4 a try because it is not available on my local store (samsung decide not to sell it here).
Only LTE version of tab pro has the qualcomm SOC.

i agree and that is why i said "best i can afford" not most expensive.
i own the 10.1 Pro and 10.5 S because i bought the Pro when it came out and then m,ade the mistake of playing around with the Tab S. not surfe about the 8.4 but the overall feel, smoothness of OS, (big one here) USB port on side and not bottom, and 3GB ram made it a no brainer to move up to S and glad i did. so with 10.1 to 10.5 i dont regret the extra cash at all.

Hi,
I dont know, but I will see how to do that. Also if you find how to do that, can you share it here ?
Tnx
Why you buy the mediatek version?
at that moment was cheaper to buy.
Recently, LG and Samsung, released their flagship New LG G5 and Galaxy S7 / S7 edge, and announced that Antutu score are respectively more than 130000 and 110000, the price is about 700 dollars. Doogee also released its flagship product on MWC 2016. Doogee F7 F7pro, consist of 5.7 inches 2K screen, equipped with MTK latest deca-core X20 processor, 8.0 super front pixel camera, 21 pixel rear camera, combinations of built-in 4GB RAM + 32GB ROM memory , and another choice of 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM memory, running Android 6.0 system. Due to such a configuration , F7 pro Antutu score is up to 93476, while the price is only about $ 200. All in all, this’s conform to Doogee marketing strategy: to create a high-performance, cost-effective mobile phone.
Such a high score can not be separated from such a powerful Deca-core Heli X20. X20 2X2.5GHZ A7 core + 4x2.0GHZ A53 core + 4X1.4GHz core component. F7/F7 pro support Intelligent deployment, it is full of vitality when running large programs to achieve maximum performance. No need to close intelligent core to reduce power consumption. Modem consumes 70% of X10, multimedia consumes 60% of X10 .
Big RAM
Such a powerful F7/F7 pro, its CPU is not only low power consumption, performance improvement also obviously, which greatly enhances UI and gaming performance. GPU performance increase to 140% of X10's, GPU power consumption is 60% of X10. 2016 new hot game, Iron Tanks , got the most of comments is that it is always getting stuck, while playing on F7pro realized no stuck, run freely.
The general phones are 4G network LTE Cat-4, while high-profile F7/ F7 pro support LTE Cat-6 2x20 carrier aggregation 4.5G network. Download speed is more than 2 times the ordinary 4G network, up to 200 mbps per second, downloading a movie in just three minutes, browsing multiple pictures page in just 0.5 seconds. On the whole, doogee F7 has not only the top of the hardware configuration, but also the latest Android 6.0 system, so that it reaches Antutu score of more than 90000 making sense.

Wakelock / Deep Sleep Bug HT3 PRO
Hi there
Just received my Homtom HT3 PRO and found out that this device has the same battery wakelock bug as the HT7 PRO.
Once the LED goes on, the deivce would never go into deep sleep mode.
I could disable the LED notifivation with the "Notification Light Widget" from Chris Tattersall on Playstore.
Checking the state time with CPU Spy v0.4.0, shows that the deep sleep time is now much higher and the battery life is now acceptable therefore.
However once the device is connected to the charger, the LED goes on again - the deep sleep mode would not be activated until the device will be rebooted.
Official HomTom Support answer is that they working on a update (25 July 2016).
Did someone have a better solution or found a way to solve it by custom ROM?
I apologize to the moderators for the external link.
http://www.needrom.com/category/doogee/homtom/t3-pro/
There is only one solution that worked for me....root it and delete all unnecesary bloatware that comes with factory ROM,install Xposed framework then some nice and helpfull modules as XGEL,GravityBox,Amplify etc....i warmly recommend to follow that link Cleopatra provided since here is no support for our phone in any form.

It can be a wrong thread, but then Note 10 lite forum is not active yet - so here it goes.
I want to know is it true tht exynos GPU is always weaker as compared to snapdragon ?
i am confused between Samsung A71 & Note 10 lite and these Processors, Exynos 9810 vs Snapdragon 730
Also, in terms in selfie camera which is more powerful in below? (I think lower aperature of A70 wins which i currently use?)
32 MP, f/2.2, 26mm (wide), 1/2.8", 0.8µm OR
32 MP, f/2.0, 26mm (wide), 1/2.8", 0.8µm
Thx
