Users menu

Hi all. I have some issue with Pro 8.4 LTE. I can't find menu with device users(not Google, MS and etc account) for Multiuser. I find information that this menu hove some models of 8,4 but not all. Can I active this menu?

Yes, after Default application I have Battery

Not sure then. Guess you have to wait for someone else to respond. In the mean time try using that live chat with a Samsung techy, maybe they can actually help you on something like this.

I have the lte model as well and the "users" option is mysteriously missing from the menu but luckily its an easy fix...all u have to do is edit your build.prop and add the line "fw.max_users=5" (not sure but I THINK u can use any number) WITHOUT the quotations to the bottom of the file then save & reboot. I did also edit my secsettings.apk although I don't think that's actually needed for this particular mod but if the above doesnt work then I will upload it for u...on a side note I'm also working on a rom for us lte users but just don't expect anything fancy. I'm simply trying to add back all of the features that I have found to be missing in our tablets but I ran into a SLIGHT problem along the way...I BROKE MY FRICKIN SCREEN! :crying: The bad part is its NOT the glass but the actual lcd that's cracked...the irony is I actually fix this stuff for a living but the device is so new that I cant even find the part which I'm sure will cost an astronomical amount whenever it is. I apologize about the rant but needed to get that off my chest...hope that helps though :highfive:

im sure you device is rooted , if you can edit the build.prop file, correct? if so - how did you root?
currently my device is unrooted and i can bring the file up (es explorer) but cant save edits. please help me out as i would really like to add multi users.

Help with adware/possible virus - unroooted stock phone

I need help with what I think is adware on my LG G3. It is not rooted or anything..just stock. Every morning and sometimes throughout the day my phone will go to a browser (today I took a screenshot and it was Firefox) and a box will come up claiming I won a prize through facebook. I know its an ad so I just back out of it. In the past there have also been messages about updating the android system, boosting the battery, etc. I run avast and malwarebytes scans and they don't find anything. Sometimes my phone just seems to act up, be slow and the screen is not responsive. I'm not sure if it's because of this issue or not. Please help!

Does anyone maybe have a solution?

It's hard for me to tell and I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will chime in but did you install any app you suspect? AirPush detector from Google Play may find the app.

Yeah I tried AirPush..it detected Trivia Crack so I uninstalled it. I mean I haven't really been playing it lately but that kinda sucks in case I did want to play. So I guess I'll see if the ads stop now.

I installed it but then I guess it wasn't set up right. I didn't really want to try to figure it out more so I've just been dealing with the ads and just backing out when they pop up. That would only block the ads anyways right? I would rather they totally be gone if that's possible. Would factory resetting the phone get rid of the ads?

Here is little guide to setup ad-block if you are still inclined... https://adblockplus.org/en/android-config
You can also set up adblocker as an add-on to firefox, but if random browsers keep popping up with ads I don't think that'll help much.
But I believe a factory reset would take care of it. Just back everything up & good luck

it would be great if we could see a screenshot of the ad.
usually when you get some ad or pop up you can go to your status bar and press and hold the ad. this will take you to the app that is running the ad then you can uninstall it.

I haven't installed any third party apps other than the adblock plus. I only use google play. Yeah..I downloaded some music and that seems to be when the ads started. Will simply removing those songs get rid of the ads?

I might have an old screenshot but the ad changes. It hasn't popped up again for me to be able to take another screenshot. Also my phone doesn't want to recognize my SD card even though I have taken it out and restarted my phone multiple times..very frustrating..that is another issue I would like figured out..So I can't tell if that old screenshot is on there at all.

Has the SD card been damaged? Try putting a different SD card in the phoblne and see if it works

I fixed it by turning off the 'Allow Mock Locations' on Developer Options. Running on Marshmallow and Lollipop. Thanks again.

I use an xposed module called GPSJoystick, it doesn't need to be installed in to priv-app. It crashes occassionally but it works awesome.
I walk during the day to play and use the GPSJoystick for pokestop farming at night to replenish my pokeballs and revives haha
Great game, reminds me so much of my childhood and playing Blue and Red for the first time.
I love the 3D characters, the animations, opening my list of pokemon, tapping on them and seeing their own little growl animations.
Anybody else have the "Canno't detect camera orientation" issue when using AR for Pokemon Captures?
According to information pages I checked, the G531H has a gyroscope so I'm not sure what could be causing the issue... am I (-And the phone hardware info sites I've checked-) wrong on this matter?

I've already confirmed bootloader is unlockable as we knew it was.

Oneplus is still pretty aggressive with memory management at 32 for their 8gb ram phone.

I did not see a max bg apps in the build.prop If it's there, what's the exact name so I can search for it?
I searched for max and bg, and no results.

I don't have root access for /media. Is it under the /sdcard somewhere? I don't see it at the root of /sdcard.
Phone is not yet rooted. Is there a way I can check using adb or fastboot?

yes, i couldn't figure out how to do it via button combination but through adb you can get there with "adb reboot recovery"

Call quality sounds great. I've only used it a couple of times. I had a Google Pixel XL before and this seems to get signal better than that slightly. Using T-Mobile out in the woods, and I would sometimes get spotty coverage, but with this phone it didn't miss a beat.

K found out that factory wallpaper and preloaded games do not come preinstalled.

Hello! I found solution how too recording call noo root ez way!
instruction!
1) eneble usb debuggin in dev opition.
2) Download https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-uWQn-oHu_ROuDVCzIyrExoRbsSBYTtU/view Fastboot and ADB
3) Connected your phone Too pc click on home screen shift + right button on mouse and click Open Command Window
4) Write adb shell settings put global op_voice_recording_supported_by_mcc 1 wait sec and accepted on phone window.
And now we have call recording on OP6T! :good:
One Bug: When we reboot device call recording not work, soo wee must put adb one more time again again and again...

Ha ha... Which one do you like personally and keep it as long term daily driver? I am undecided between 6T and 3 XL..

My question was can it be done this way. I added the line from the op but it did not work out, so I'll just use adb

If you use JOnePlus app (play store) and give it write permissions in adb, then it will enable call record for you, also there is a toggle to turn on to survive reboot.

I'm on beta 4 and it works great!

It is possible to have access to this with "settings database editor" (Google play store) by going on the "global table"
