Loading a rom on my phone - Samsung Galaxy S7 Active Questions & Answers

I have tried several different roms and all of them are giving me the same issue. When I try to load the rom via Odin I get Auth(fail!). I believe I have bootloader V3 but I even tried an oreo rom with no luck. Is there anyone that can provide me help on this? TIA

[Solved] E: error executing updater binary in zip...

Hey
I just got my replacement phone today (previous one smashed) and have been trying to put an aosp (tasks AOKP) ROM on for a while now and I can't get it to work!
I have a twrp recovery and was bone stock earlier today (4.1.1). Everytime I try to flash tasks 6/7 update I get the error in the title. Any ideas? I updated the bootloader before trying this as well. I tried reinstalling the ROM several times to no avail. Any ideas? Should I just odin stock and start fresh? Is there a quicker method of fixing this? Is it a bad recovery?
my apologies if this has been answered before. I have been searching for hours now and found a few similar problems but on other phones that I couldn't relate to my problems. any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks!!!
[EDIT] Problem solved. I was previously on TWRP 2.5 for d2can. I used odin to put on TWRP 2.3 for d2att and all is well now.

[Q] Camera won't work after going back to stock

Hey All,
I have the ATT S3 variant, and for the longest time I was running a TW based rom that was made from a galaxy note rom and supported multiview.I decided to flash my phone back to LK3 stock and now my camera won't work. Ive tried wiping the cache and doing a factory reset. I've tried the reinstall a couple of times. Out of curiosity, I flashed CM10.2 and the camera worked fine. I Once again tried flashing the stock rom, but the issue still persists. Whenever I open up the camera app I get the error "Camera Failed". I tried typing in the code to get the camera firmware version, but it just shows a black screen. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

[Q] Broke my modem

So I made the ultimate noob mistake of not making sure the ROM I flashed was made specifically for my model of Note, which is i317. I downloaded and flashed the International models version. Once I got into the phone, I noticed I no longer had cellular connectivity. When I tried to go into the network settings, it tells me there is no SIM card detected.
I restored from my backup, but the issue persists. I am currently downloading and preparing to flash the correct version in hopes that it will fix this issue.
Has anyone else had to deal with this issue? Did flashing the correct rom fix it? Is my only option to go back to stock, or will that even work?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Fixed

Same here on DN3 v5. I'd like to give it a try, but I get stuck at the SAMSUNG logo too. I have tried SlimKat and I like it alot... If you learn the trick to DN3, please let me know! Thank you and good luck!

[Q] Bricked After Software Update

Hey Guys
So I was rooted with a Kitkat 4.4.2 Custom rom "SR Remix" and T-mobile pushed the lollipop OTA updated to my phone. I did the stupid thing of restarting and installing, From there my phone only reboots into the TWRP menu.
I've tried flashing the old kitkat rom, and also restoring my phone via LG flash tool using the TOT file. However this does nothing. I keep getting a can't switch to downloading and then the flashing fails. I have tried all the methods that forum have to offer but still not luck?
Can Anyone help.
Thanks
GH
Well. Soon after I posted this I decided to use the .kdz method and it worked...

T-Mobile IMEI/baseband gone...help!

My mom has had a z2 force for almost 2 years...no issues, now all of a sudden data and wifi are gone and the phone doesn't have an IMEI. Seemingly after an ota update. As it's already old o figured I'd try to flash a rom to fix. I've tried returning to stock with the most recent flash all, the last flash all, tried installing lineage, tried installing 10 potato...nothing is working! Anything else I can try to get this working again???
I also tried to run other flashalls from xda, but didn't see a .bat file in the zip file....only a flash file...is there something else I'm missing? Sorry I'm not really proficient in motos
Mom wasn't dabbling in the dark arts known as pie was she? If not then you should be able to flash the latest TMO firmware then do a factory reset from recovery to restore the baseband.
She was still on Oreo when everything happened .....I attempted to flash the latest firmware, but still no luck...that's when I tried to install a pie rom---no luck there either

The trick to restoring baseband is the factory reset from recovery, not a reset from settings or anything else. As for trying to flash a pie rom, hopefully it was just a rom and not a pie firmware. If anything took from a pie firmware you might be sol.
It was just a rom, no pie firmware at all. I tried restarting from recovery and everything to no avail...is there a specific flashall you would recommend? I tried both the March and August T-Mobile ones...don't know if anyone has had success with a different one?
