Hello,
thank you in advance for the help provided
I bought a used honor 8 pro and when I set it up
I can choose the language and do all the procedure to enter my google account and then I have the choice between copying my data or set up as new
when i choose set as new
it asks me to restore the data either through the cloud or phone clone apk.
no matter when I choose the cloud backup (no backups available) and I can not pass the window or go back idem when I choose phone clone apk
when I connect it in fastboot I get:
bootloarder DUK-L09 8.0.0.362 (C432)
phone locked
FRP lock
Can someone help me please, I do not know how to do it anymore
Thank you

Need Help ! Honor 7x BND-AL10 with September 2019 Update

I can't access my Google Account as it says too many failed attempts and Google couldn't verify that account belongs to you.
I tried Factory Reset, eRecovery, Safe Mode, TalkBack & Dialer Trick but nothing worked with this message "Unlock your device first".
Also I can't access Emergency Back Up as it takes me to language selection.
I am unable to use my phone since Last Week. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.

Downgrade from Q to Pie without unlocking bootloader possible?

Long story short: I have a new Poco X3 NFC on the way I want to extract the mail database from K-9 Mail on my aging Mi A2 Lite. I am still using POP3 (silly me) and I would somehwat hate to lose all my local mail copies on my phone. It's not possible to get to the database without root and my phone isn't rooted. Root can only be achived with unlocked bootloader but unlocking the bootloader will wipe all data.
I've read this super cool guide to evade the wipe by marstonpear but from the comments it seems that this doesn't work on Android Q (or 10) which my phone is at.
Can anyone confirm that this really doesn't work on Q?
Is there a way to downgrade without unlocking the bootloader or am I stuck?
Okay I've dug um some more info that I previously didn't find. Supposedly the method still works on V11.0.5.0.QDLMIXM. My phone is at the more recent V11.0.12.0.QDLMIXM. Since the differences should mostly be security updates this raises my confidence that the methode will still work on my phone. Will try once my Poco X3 NFC has arrived.
You may be able to use adb backup without unlocking the bootloader to backup the k9 data and restore to the new phone?
The bootloader unlock without data wipe is possible but be very careful. Lots of people have lost data.

You can try to activate a mailbox with a provider with IMAP service. You configure it on k9 and move the emails to the new account verifying that they are also copied to the server via imap service. After on the new mobile you can decide to move them back to the main account.
Sorry for my bad english

Thank you for the hints, but I think adb backup is exclusively not supported due to privacy concerns. All in all the backup / migration situation on Android is still extremely terrible.

Thank you, that's an interesting approach. I will try to figure this out before trying to unlock the bootloader as this seems less prone to complete dataloss.
I know next to nothing about how IMAP works besides that all mail reside on the server and are centrally organized (and synced between clients?). I've always used POP3 and it works well enough for me. Thunderbird on the PC with POP3 is my main client so I never felt the need to switch, in fact IMAP wasn't even supported for a long time with my main email provider and space was scarce.

Why? I made and restored backup exactly on V11.0.12.0.QDLMIXM using adb. Can't tell you how to unzip the backup * .ab file. But I am sure it is possible.
Thanks for the input alsgs4. I can certainly give it a try but I do not have high hopes for it to work.
Edit: I tried and it doesn't seem to work. I only get a 549 bytes file if I use:
adb backup -f k9.ab -apk com.fsck.k9
Either the package name is wrong or it just doesn't work.
Okay so I just found out, that supposedly my main email account (web.de) is added as an IMAP account in K-9 but something is weird. I tried to move a not so important mail from the inbox to the archive folder and in K-9 it moves to mail to the archive folder but it's not reflected on the account itself at all when checking in the web.de web login. I tried again with a secondary email account (outlook.com) that has always been IMAP and it works there like it should (moving back and forth between inbox and archive folder with phone and web login). Maybe web.de is just weird / crappy.
I managed to unlock the bootloader without wiping date following the instructions below - but be careful to follow it to the letter:
USB debug ON
OEm unlock ON
Then connect the phone to your PC:
adb devices
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot oem unlock - start pressing only vol down button and then hit enter, HOLD vol down until the phone boots into fastboot mode again.
fastboot reboot - start pressing only vol down button and then hit enter, HOLD vol down until the phone boots into fastboot mode again.
Now you are ready to boot into your system. Either boot by holding power button or typing - fastboot reboot then press enter
Make sure you dont actually hit ENTER on the fastboot steps UNTIL you've started pressing the vol down button on your phone
I also had to be quick with typing the fastboot commands on the PC when using the adb commands
After that you can then root using magisk patched boot.img file - let me know if you need the instructions on how to do this
Thank you FOREST37. I am aware of this method as can be seen by the link I've embedded into the text of my first post. I was just uncertain if it still worked for Android 10.
My X3 NFC arrived yesterday. I will report back if everything works out.
Okay I've finally found the time to unlock the bootloader on my Mi A2 Lite and the guide from marstonpear worked like a charm on system version V11.0.12.0.QDLMIXM . Time to flash TWRP / Magisk / Titanium Backup and use root to start digging for that mail storage. Thanks to everyone who's provided some help to me on this topic.
Okay I got TWRP installed via this guide, and flashed Magisk, installed Titanium Backup and at first the K9 backup failed but now it seems to have worked and the TB folder doesn't turn up empty like on the first two tries. No idea what's going on there. Transfered everything over to my new phones external SD and tried restoring the app. After 20 minutes the restore was still not done. Rebooted the phone, reinstalled K-9 via Google Play Store and restored the apps data only in TB and it's finally working! Looks like the Android backup / migration situation has become even worse. What a bl**dy odyssey. Thanks again to anyone who provided information to get this done.

RN8P blocked with Mi account.

I found a RN8P and is blocked by Mi account, I waited for the go owner to call but nothing. Is there a way I can unblock it so I can reach the owner? I don’t want to spend money on it since it won’t be for me. Any thoughts, ideas, advices?
Here is the instruction, but it is in Russian
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro - Прошивки MIUI - 4PDA
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro - Прошивки MIUI

I had the same Problem, i buyed a RN8P where the Seller has forgotten his Password from his MI Account. One Day i wiped all Data because the Phone was messed up with unnecessary Programms and Data and after rebooting there comes a black screen and "This Device is locked".
After Weeks of reseaching over the inet and trying multiple Ways and Account Remover, Unlocker, etc. i have found a Solution! You can remove the MI Account from your RN8P by using this Guide to flash a new firmware following this Guide:
UNBRICK BEGONIA NO AUTH
Requirements: 1) PC 2) Internet 3) Patience Windows Method: • Download this file - Click-Here (Download from Telegram) (https://mega.nz/file/A4YSEZaA#0Jk3_jH8uVtMnATciVRtWw2r_SH0NPLq4P6SrGNuwJQ)
telegra.ph
Note that is very importand that you do that without connection to the internet! You have to do some additional steps....
First you have to format 3 Partitions on the Phone: Go to the "Format" Area of SP Flash Tool, select "Manual Format" and type
(to format the FRP Partition) Begin Adress "0x5888000", Format Lengh "0x100000"
(to format the MI Account Partition) Begin Adress "0xe188000" Format Lengh "0x4678000"
(to format the userdata Patition) Begin Adress "0x1d2800000" Adress Lengh "0x30000000"
You have to run the "BROM Tool" everytime before you can do one Action with the SP Flash Tool, means before each Format or before each flash. The SP Flash Tool will crash after formatting each Partition but thats not bad, just restart, run the BROM Tool and continue. After you have formatted these 3 partitions you can flash a firmware of your choice.
After flashing turn your phone on (dont insert a SIM Card or connect it with Wlan to the Internet!), go to the main options and disable any automatic update you can find! Such as automatic Firmware or App Updates. You have to deinstall or deactivate every original Xiaumi App just to be sure. I also deactivated some Certificates from Companies but you should be very careful with this.
Why you have to deactivate those Xiaomi Apps and automatic Updates?
The Xiaomi FRP Protection is Server hosted, so when you have disabeld the MI Account FRP Protection with the Steps above, some Apps on your Phone could call Xiaomi Servers and automatically sends the Serial Number (not the IMEI, i mean the Serial Number you see with the fastboot command "fastboot devices") home and the Xiaomi Servers tell back that its a "blacklistet Device" and it will go in locked state again. So you have to do everything again.
I hope i could help some of you guys who have the same problem like me. Unforgently xiaomi support doesn't help people (regardless wich problem). Please excuse my English, i'm not a native speaker, if you have further questions or other issues, please feel free to ask!
If you have Problems tonuse the "BROM-Tool" please note that you have to install TWO Device filters for mediatek devices!
hi i tried this and i downgrade it bypas mi account and enter the systemand seems to be ok but when connect internet and phone licking again in mi account. what can i do to?

[Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite (gauguin)] need help for firehose file patching

My mi11 bricked. The screen only shows errors: system ui isn't responding,I entered recovery mode and then upgraded to the latest system now.but nothing changed.I also restored the factory settings, but the problem has not been resolved.
Miflash error: Flashing is not allowed in Bootloader Lock Stateso,i need help for the firehose file patched to skip the EDL authentication for flash rom (gauguin_images_V13.0.11.0.SJSEUXM)
Many thanks for your help .
It will be you are hard to find. Weather try in developer options to unlock bootloader wait 7 days and flash again
its bricked.Unable to enter settings, unable to open developer options
I bought a second-hand mobile phone to restore, because the display was broken, the seller said that there were no associated accounts, as the display did not show an image and only sound, I deduced that everything was going well, when I tried I found that I had an MI account associated. the seller don't know also the mi account information, now I can't use it at all, I didn't want to spend more money on the phone so I tried everything that is within reach on the internet. The mobile has:
1. My account (I don't have the information)
2. Impossible to unlock the bootloader (I can't access the mobile phone)
3. Impossible to enable debug mode (I can't access the mobile phone)
4. I can connect in fastbook
5. I can connect in adb sideload
6. I can connect in EDL mode (Qualcomm 9008)
I tried QPST, QFIL, but it always gives an error, maybe because of the firehose.
As the bootloader is blocked, I have no more chances for free, the last hope was to try Firehose in Auth for this model, but I can't find it anywhere.
The cell phone does not detect the Touch, and every time I turn it off it restarts automatically. However I can use a mouse in OTG.
I thought if I did a flash it would solve it too.
The last solution is to pay someone who can do the job and guarantee that it will work without restrictions, for that you would also have to find someone you can trust.

I have the same result, but assuming the device is already verified and secure (as stated by the closed lock picture) I think it's impossible to add a second account - or the same phone two times - to the verification request by pressing "add account and device" button.
So probably it's just a matter of bad translation in the popup, where it says check network and try again

Your account is already logged and you already have secure locked device.
I'm telling we both have this message because of this.
You logged to your MIUI account when you run first installation and you had to connect to MIUI server for security check

found the fix from some guy on xiaomi.eu forum
use this vpn https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.shuttlevpn.free.proxy.gaming
Steps to fix:
1. Change Region Settings to Singapore (Settings App -> Additional Settings -> Region -> Singapore)
2. Use a Singapore VPN (Don't disconnect the VPN till the end.)
3. Log out from your Mi Account
4. Click on create an account, make sure your VPN is still connected and choose Country/Region to Singapore and create a new mi account
5. Go to Mi Unlock Status and it should work now
So it's most likely a case of incorrect translation in the popup where it reads "check network and try again."

Wait.. point n.3 means you have to log out from your account, so you can log in again but on a VPN ???
u don't log in into the same account, u create a new one using the VPN (don't turn it off during the process) on the Singapore region
So I did not get the original request.... my fault.
But the OP pictures shows that the phone is locked and secured, being logged to the account that owns the phone. So, what's the reason to add another account?
I get the same message. But did find a forum where someone said it will still work, just press the button and connect it with your PC in Fastboot with mi unlock tool.
Tried it, "you have to wait 168h..."
Seems to work, tho.
