I take a picture, and then select the photo at the bottom of the camera screen.. it opens the gallery, then is VERY slow.. often I can't pinch & zoom, or select a sharing icon.. then suddenly the multi screen sometimes turns on. I though maybe it's because the tv icon at the top of the photo is showing 9+ meaning that's it's found 9 devices to share my photo too.. I thought maybe that is slowing it down. I tried turning off allshare cast, but can't seem to keep it off. I don't even know if that is even what it is. Frustrating. Not sure if that even made sense?
Anyone else having a gallery bog down like this?

What is the Android version that you're using? 4.1.1? I'm using 4.1.2 and I have the same issue, but it feels more like a bug than an actual issue. I hope Samsung fixes this in the next 4.1.2 release.
I noticed the gallery lags terribly if I have photos that sync to it (Dropbox or FB sync to gallery) so I turned those off and it was lagless.
Other than that, I have no idea what could be the issue.

I know this is an old thread, but I was suddenly having the same issue. Turning off Dropbox sync seems to have solved it. Thanks for the tip.
So when I go to set a wallpaper from the gallery or google photos it just shows a loading screen forever. Ocassionally it'll crash when I choose to set homescreen wallpaper. I cleared the home and lockscreen cache and data but still no luck except for the crashing and totally resetting my home screen icons and widgets back to stock.
Also in google photos I was getting greyed out thumbnails and a loading screen forever but I think I fixed that by clearing cache and data but why did it happen in the first place? So annoying. Still love the phone though.
I don't know if trying to flash a rom had anything to do with it even though doing so did nothing. Still on stock rom for some reason. So many questions but i'll stop there.
It all seems to be working ok now. wierd. clearing all the data seemed to work just had to wait I guess.
Last couple of weeks the background images on main menu, and the images for film and TV thumbnails seem to rrandomly dissappear. Only way Ican seem to fget them back is by restarting the aftv. I haven't updated anything, does anyone have any ideas?
I recently went through a disaster of switching to AOSP 9.0 custom ROM and when I tried to revert, I got my encryption password messed up by the recovery.
Restored everything to stock and then just rooted with magisk.
Phone, now is acting crazy. I've done 2 factory resets (literally lost 3+GB worth of photos and documents due to encryption lockout).
In Google photos I see my things backed up just fine but they appear jibberish and noisey on my phone's screen. They are fine otherwise if I explore my backup on PC. (Some rendering issues maybe?)
Secondly, Google chrome randomly turns into black screen while the webpage is alive (playing audio/video etc).
I need to resolve this issue. I'm currently on MIUI 10 8.12.27 beta. I didn't have any issue previously on 8.10.22 ROM before all the custom ROM and encryption fiasco.
Anybody has a clue how to resolve these issues?
Also, device randomly jumps to lockscreen while I'm in the interface (doesn't do so when I'm playing a game)
There are no artifacts or abnormal behavior while playing games. Only for 2D render.

the phone just straight up crashes and restarts when I'm watching anything(twitch,yt etc) and swipe down to open notification panel....this happens a lot but not all the time
thats not even the biigest problem...whenever the phone crashes/restarts some apps just dont open amd stay on the apps splash screen like instagram , galaxy store, pokemon go etc. they just stay stuck on the splash screen and refuse to open until i manually restart the phone again
is the problem just happening with me ?

thats not the biggest issue...the biggest issue I've been facing the beta ithes that whenever
