Hello,
My mobile (LG G3 D855) restarted itself suddenly and ever since the first restart happened, it updates the applications and again and again no matter what I do (hard reset, recovering backup, flashing stock rom, wiping data) it restarts itself, LG logo appears and again apps update. As I mentioned, I tried hard reset, loading backup, flashing a 6.0 stock rom, wiping data but after every step the restart happened again. Every time the restarts, update screen happens and then it restarts itself again. Any suggestions?

After updating several files and during downloading my P936 suddently rebooted as sometime typcial for CM10.1. I am on RC2 and WindKernel 2.0.1.
Now, after -several- reboots *i guess it were 4* it got even worse.
First, I got the start screen and download again and boom reboot.
Second, I could type in the PIN of sim and reboot.
Third, I could not even tye in the PIN anymore and reboot.
Forth, I switched it off and turned on again.
Now, it wants to start the apps, but hangs at the start screen "starting the apps" :crying:
Weird. What can I do?
I had nearly the same kind of problem on my LU6200. Factory reset and clearing Dalvik cache in recovery helped me.
For some strange reason, after reinstalling CM 10.2 several times already, the phone keeps having a peculiar problem. After entering recovery, wiping data, cache and Dalvik, and either restoring a backup or installing the ROM from scratch, the system will allow me to boot exactly once. Then, after rebooting, no matter what I did on the last boot, the phone will be stuck on the "Samsung Galaxy W" screen, without advancing to the spinning CM logo. The current workaround is to reinstall the ROM every single time I start the phone, and that's evidently not an option. Can someone suggest a stable solution?
A quick update - the phone seems to be not frozen, but bootlooping after about three minutes per loop.
Hey guys,
The tablet wouldn't recognise my pin. It happened once before but a simple reboot fixed it. This time nothing I tried worked (switched accounts, restart, wiping cache partition). So after a lot of consideration I decided to go to Recovery and do a factory reset. After it finished, it automatically restarted and since then it's in a bootloop.
All the instructions I've read about factory reset say you need to manually reboot after it's finished whereas mine rebooted by itself. Do you think that's why it's stuck now? What can I do?
Hello,
I have a LG G3 D855 with unlocked bootloader and TWRP 3.0.2-0 and it had a relatively recent build of the official LineageOS ROM.
Everything was running fine, until suddenly, during a phone call, it shut down, and since then, each time I try to turn on the device, the LG logo appears for 20 seconds, disappears for 2 seconds, and then appears again, over and over again. I can still access the recovery thou.
So I have tried wiping everything, including system, data, and caches, repairing file systems, reinstalling the newest version of lineageOS, (my SD card slot doesn't work so i had to push the ROM file to the data partition using adb and installing it from there). I also tried using a different battery, and the same problem persists.
I am kinda hopeless now so I would appreciate any help I can get.
Many thanks.
I have the exact same problem. It started when I upgraded to latest TWRP. Flashing back to the normal TWRP didn't solve the problem and the boot looping is persistent now and TWRP is inaccessible.
I flashed to stock rom using LG flash tool 2014 and no matter what I try it still loops indefinitely with the new OS installed.
This a bit of a long short story, so please bear with me for a while.
I first unblocked my Lenovo K5 Vibe Plus a6020a46 (India) in 2017 and using TWRP I had flashed the AEX Oreo v5.7 ROM. It was a great change and everything else was working fine for a long time.
Fast forward to 2020, I felt the phone was slowing down so I clean flashed AEX Pie v6.7 using TWRP, the ROM worked slick but after some time weird problems started to rise. Here's the chronology of what happened:
1. While using some apps the phone used to freeze, then shutdown. A restart would solve the problem for a while. But the lag used to remain.
2. The same problem repeated after a while but this time the phone went into bootloop.
3. I wiped cache, tried other solutions but nothing worked out so I reflashed the same ROM after a clean wipe. Phone worked fine for a week but then slowed down and finally crashed (This happened 2 times.)
4. After a week it was different, this time the boot animation would get stuck, then the phone would crash. So I reflashed again but when I booted up the phone there was no SIM service, no iMEi, No Wifi, No IP, Bluetooth.
5. I thought this AEX Pie ROM to be a problem so I flashed Arrow OS, Paranoid OS, AEX Oreo version, AEX 10 version but the problem remained: The phone would boot, boot animation stuck, and the phone would crash. This loop is where I am now.
I followed THIS GUIDE and tried reverting back to Official Stock ROM using QFIL. The flash was successful but the phone wouldn't bootup and went into a restart loop.
Here are some more important details:
1. The recovery mode is working fine. I can flash and wipe but I sometimes get the error of "Unable to mount" on Data, System and Cache partition which is solved with a format.
2. I can also get into Fastboot mode, EDL mode for QFIL flash.
3. I can also view all files and folders from TWRP Filemanager.
TLDR; Phone keeps crashing on boot, reverting to stock ROM also leads to restart loop, the phone shows no SIM, Wifi, iMEi, IP, etc. Tried wipe, clean flash, format which is successful but the problem remains. HELP!
"4. After a week it was different, this time the boot animation would get stuck, then the phone would crash. So I reflashed again but when I booted up the phone there was no SIM service, no iMEi, No Wifi, No IP, Bluetooth."
This is caused by bad ROM flashing ( when your flash wasn't entirely successful). You can fix this by reflashing. This could also happen if you downgraded, so go back to the version uou were on and see if this did it. You can fix IMEI with root if you want, I saw a thread for another phone: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/how-to/fix-persist-resolve-imei0-explanation-t3825147 see if this could help.
"Animation Stuck"
This could be a problem with the ROM and data/cache, try factory resetting. Otherwise, it is also a problem with the ROM
In any case, I would redownload and reflash Stock ROM again and see if it still happens.
