When apply for unlock bootloader today ,it did not require to give why I want to unlock like details then directly went to download unlock tool app. Previously my other Xiaomi devices need why I'd to unlock bootloader like questions and after that waiting for 15 min to 3- 7 days to go to that download page. Is Xiaomi give permission to unlock quite easily ?
But I tried that tool , after few try told me to wait for 357 hrs.
You need to wait 357 hours. The is no other way for now.

Actually there is a way to skip the 360 hours of waiting... with the MIUI unlock software 2.2 and 2 separate accounts with the permission to unlock your phone.
In case you have question, read through the article, I've posted there even a download link of the software I did it. Double check your anit rollback version though via "fastboot getvar anti". In case you have 4 you need to do some research, if you have 3 just proceed as usual. Hope it helped, cheers!

Will let others confirm but it seems to take Honor some time to release official firmware. We are still waiting on it for the L24.
How can I unlock the bootloader in the USA for the Mate SE (7xs)? I wanted to fastboot into twp temporarily to back everything up.
The Huawei website doesn't validate from US phone numbers?
Thanks.

Where do you even get twrp for this phone?
Honor firmware releases for the US are slow. It’s annoying
I have been finding out the hard way with these honor phones. This mate se gonna be the third one. I bricked the honor 6x and 7x permanently. Bootloader locked stuck in fastboot. Trying to get rid of twrp to take on OTA updates. Can't update with twrp installed. I recommend rooting with magisk then using titanium for your back up untill you have official firmware in your hands.

Unofficial but I have seen with my eyes that twrp for honor 7x does work. The Mate SE is the Is the USA variant of the Honor 7x x64 with 4gb ram. The Honor 7x 32gb is the only honor 7x in the usa you can get. Has been confiremed By Huawei USA that Mate se will be getting both oreo and emui 8.0. That Is how I decided to go with the Mate SE

Thanks for everyone in this thread. I was considering getting a Mate SE since they are currently only $230 on Amazon, but one of my considerations for phones is always if there is adequate support for a phone, an easy root, and at least a few roms on XDA for it. I see that this phone has none of these. So, looks like I might have to spend an extra $200 to get a Mi Mix 2....

I rooted mine in less than 10 minutes.
It's a new device with an Oreo update coming soon so developers are most likely going to wait for that.
If you're in the U.S. have fun with the MiMix 2 seeing as though not all of the U.S. LTE bands are operational.

You can follow this tutorial : desinerd[dot]co[dot]in/how-to-huawei-mate-se-root-twrp-recovery/
After I had my device not booting, I managed to reinstall latest firmware for Huawei Mate SE BND-L34 Oreo 8.0.0 using the method described here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-7x/how-to/manual-update-to-oreo-beta-emui-8-bnd-t3767044
but using my own Mate SE files which are uploaded here (with instructions) :
https://mega.nz/#!jNJH3ZDB!QOrVkBPH2vaRsWURvbxbWHPvwESj4KcaoTkM2e9zpaA
Instructions :
Pre-requisite :
- Unlocked Bootloader for Huawei Mate SE (follow this tutorial : http://www.desinerd.co.in/how-tohuawei-mate-se-bootloader-unlockwindowsmac-linux/)
- Installed TWRP (follow this tutorial : http://www.desinerd.co.in/how-to-huawei-mate-se-root-twrp-recovery/)
Steps :
- Download all the files and put them on your SDCard /sdcard in your Mate SE (credits to Eduardo Alonso)
update.zip
update_data_full_public.zip
update_full_BND-L34_hw_usa.zip
BND-RECOVERY-NoCheck.img
- Boot into TWRP and go to Advanced > Terminal
Now we do the method (credits to olddroid)
- Type in these commands:
dd if=/external_sd/BND-RECOVERY-NoCheck.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/recovery
dd if=/external_sd/BND-RECOVERY-NoCheck.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/recovery2
- If those went well type these as next:
echo --update_package=/sdcard/update.zip > /cache/recovery/command
echo --update_package=/sdcard/update_data_full_public.zip >> /cache/recovery/command
echo --update_package=/sdcard/update_full_BND-L34_hw_usa.zip >> /cache/recovery/command
(Those Arrows (>) and lines (-) are important! Keep them as in command given!)
- If those went well aswell type:
reboot recovery

Would you mind making the instructions seperate from the 2.4 gb download. That way anyone wanting or needing the process but there own files to be used, dont need to download the whole thing.
Plus the linked guide has nougat based no-check recovery, so was your restore done from a messed up oreo install, or prior to the update, meaning you were on nougat when doing this restore?

You are right, I edited post to have instructions.
That is true that my device was on Nougat when I performed these steps but does the no-check recovery works only on nougat based ?

not gonna happen as long as boot loader is locked. so if you receive a survey from them take the time to include bootloader unlocking in the last part of the survey. tell them to bring it back. we bought the phone we should be able to do whatever with it. whatever also happen its also our responsibility

Yes but we also need the Kernel Source Codes for making good stable and bug free roms. We should all demand to Realme & Madhav Seth for providing the Kernel Source Codes in a big amount of people otherwise they won't provide it ( like how micromax does ).
BUT, as per the GPL Policy its Realme's own responsibility to provide the source codes. So we need to ask for it as its our right to get it :fingers-crossed:

well, its simple. If you need to unlock the bootloader and root your device, your device must have fastboot binaries enabled. Realme is going to provide that on or before 15 Jan thus enabling us to root our device.
There are many guides to "unlock and install custom recovery" but all are fake, and authors done this just to provide publicity for their blogs.

That is a dummy switch for now. Turning ON that switch alone doesnt unlock the bootloader. Even if there is a switch, we cannot go into fastboot mode to unlock the device. Realme doesnt allow bootlocker unlocking due to their policies, so they shipped the device with fastboot binaries disabled (without fastboot binaries, bootloader unlocking is impossible). Now due to the recent change of events, Realme is enabling it. There must be an OTA or sth for that. After that, turn on the unlock switch, go to fastboot mode, unlock oem, flash crecovery and ergo root your device!! (this is the conventional method).

That switch is to toggle the get_unlock_ability variable in the kernel. If it is not set, the kernel will not allow flashing recovery. Please see android documentation for more details. That switch is not a dummy switch since it is important to set it, but it does not unlock the device on its own. You need to run fastboot commands for that to happen.

I know.. but whats weird is that usually tmo phones are 'dev-friendly'. Like all of the other devices ive had(htc m9, htc10, nexus5, nexus9) they were easily bootloader unlocked and flashable. Is tmobile doing this to all phones now a days?

Thank you! Can't wait to get mine unlocked.
Unlock Code does not have 64 digits
I have my sim unlocked, but when I try to input the unlock code It requests 64 digits. I used the fastboot.exe oem get-unlock_code cmd, but it only give me 2 of the 4 lines under the Unlock code:

I put in my request for unlock(via the link in this post) and Oneplus emailed me back saying I need to contact tmobile for the unlock token. Man, I'm so confused.

It's only 2 lines not 4
It seems OnePlus techs really have no idea about this phone just copy and paste the two lines

So I used the above link and pasted the 2 lines as one string. Is that the correct way to do it? I have not received any confirmation email or anything from them. Did you end up getting your unlock token?
