Thanks but which firmware is good for XT1685 reteu devices?
Both POTTER_NPN25.137-33_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip and POTTER_NPN25.137-35_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip should be ok?
Even inside both firmwares there's no mention about version or localization

You might have better luck here at this firmware mirror: https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/potter/official/RETAIL/
I don't know how long the link will be valid for, however. Website is https://mirrors.lolinet.com then navigate via firmware>moto>potter>official>RETAIL to the stock firmwares.
EDIT - Brazilian and Latin America firmwares appear to be available too, under the RETLA directory (instead of the RETAIL directory)

Hi,
Thank you for response. More questions:
Which model have you? XT1685?
You use NFC with these new firmwares? And it works?
You suffer problems with LTE, 4G or other bands?

XT1685 model here, I'm not using NFC but I can enable it and I'm pretty sure it's working too.
No problems with LTE or anything else, it just works [emoji1]

Hi,
As no complete and oficial firmware for the EU model exists... Please, can you share some backup of this version?
- Moto G5+ EU model 3GB-32GB: NPN25.137-33
The idea is share BOOT, RECOVERY, SYSTEM, etc. partitions in case someone needs it.
Thank you!

Actually, there is a method to root most G7 models, except the T-Mobile one at the moment (G710TM/G710TMP/G710TMO/G710TMP).

The guy appeared 3 days ago I believe while the comment is 5 days ago. Still it's not an official bootloader unlock but the guy seems nice.
Hey has anyone tried the android 10 beta version for g8? Now it comes with new UX 9.1 which is cool and almost lookalike Samsung's one ui
So it seems that now, after successfully cross flashing your device (v40 and v50 with 1.15 cmd line and soon to be tested with 1.16), in theory, you could crossflash with korean firmware, then side load the OTA with lg up 1.16.
Who's willing to RISK?
Here is the example for V50:

Use Google translate for G8.
If i can convert my Sprint lg g8 to US unlocked version this will be golden. hopefully we can.
On my Sprint G8 as well. Does anybody know if it has the new gestures?

pay attention that the LG G8 Korean model has the exact 3 cameras on the back like v50. It's different from g8 us and g8s european.
But that doesn't mean it can't work.
I think that you can flash Korean firmware only on Korean models. Otherwise you can brick your phone. I have unlocked version 820QM7 and I don't take risk to flash 820N firmware.

LG G7 didn't bricked.
LG V40 also. But on the V40 wifi does not work after first restart. But reverted back works. So nothing to lose. But I repeat, hardware side, G8 has different versions, V40 and 50 don't.

The most important difference is number of cameras. It may cause different bugs.

Nope, because even the V50 shares the same camera apk version as the G8. All sensors are supported.
But who knows for camera libraries, again g8 shares 2 of the 3 sensors. Also who knows if other hardware is present on Korean?

but what will happen if I try to flash it on G820QM?
Hello,
I would like to debrand the firmware of my LG G8 ThinQ - G810EAW. (currently with the TIM firmware)
I found this firmware list on the web:
lg-firmwares.com/en/lg-lmg810eaw-firmwares/#tab=firmwares
Which firmware is the closest to a stock firmware? What means the term "OPEN_EU"?
Thanks

Hi! I need some info on how will i be able to find the correct kmz or firmware for this variant. As what the title says, it is a LM-F100TMW with Android version 11.
When i try to check via IMEI on LGROM, it says that i am using a LM-F100EMW variant from TAIWAN or TWN. I already downloaded the recommended firmware from that website but I'm still not sure if it is the right one.
Just needed to make sure, you know? Haha! Thanks!

If it's not the correct firmware,LGUP will give you an error saying you can't swap firmware from region_x to region_z as an example.
