Since I prefer rolling updates, meaning that users don't have to reinstall the roms and lose their apps and settings, it could be confusing for newcomers as to what to download. Therefore, I have provided clear directions and links in post #298. Basically, you have an option of 2 roms here: one with honami camera and another without. See post #298.

Nov 16: Wifi Dual Band Update
As we know, our device has dual band WIFI. However, this option is not enabled out of the box. Here is the fix. Just flash in CWM without data reset. From now on, you will have an option in settings/wifi/advanced for wifi frequency bands (see last picture at the bottom). Enjoy and don't forget that Thank You button.
Scrap that as ION's hardware does not support 5 Ghz (verified in White Paper) . So, you can have settings for auto/manual, but the phone won't work on 5. Too bad.

Here is Aoba_PureBlack_Ultimate Privacy with Honami Camera. See pictures. No other changes. Keep in mind that the original camera is separate and also works.
All resolutions but 2mp work. ISO is set to auto. HDR works, video stabilizer works, burst mode works. Superior Auto and photo stabilizer don't work. If you touch SA, you will get black screen, if you touch photo stabilizer, you will get f/c, but unlike in eXistenS rom, you won't have to repeat the initial process, just exit and press camera again.

Instructions:
1. Put camera widget on your home screen.
2. Press the Dinosaur
3. Press another Dinosaur on the left bottom corner
4. Choose manual and you are all set. From now on, you can start camera by pressing the single camera icon

Install Instructions:
1. Have latest JB, Root, CWM and Roger Basebands
2. Enter recovery, mount System, Cache, Data and Format each
3. Flash the rom
4. Fix permissions (optional, but wouldn't hurt)
5. Reboot and let the rom settle
6. Go to Settings/Display/QuickSettings, you will have a pop up asking which app to use. Select QuickSettings for black or SystemUI for white background. You want black since this is a black version
7. After connecting to WIFI and testing browser, go to WIFI/Advanced and select Keep WIFI While Screen Sleeps "Always"
8. Enjoy the rom

Camera is very fast, about half a second or better to be ready. You can use volume up down for zooming as well as dedicated hardware button. In my view it is much better than stock. Multiple focus modes, up to 12MP, SCN, Exposure, White Ballance, Burst Mode, Touch Focus etc. Unfortunately, it is not possible to take a screenshot, while camera is on.

You have open source replacement for stock messaging and e-mail: textsecure and k9mail. Both have black/white themes and you don't have to use encryption if you don't want it.

Nice rom except.... I followed your instructions to a T, and textsecure starts by force closing....it refuses to run. I'm thinking possibly include G-Apps by default as opposed to a separate flashable zip or maybe do not delete the stock messaging app and include something to delete textsecure. Another thing I noticed was that for whatever reason SuperSU was not installed. I do not know if this is intentional, but if you're going for ultimate privacy I would think that leaving some sort of superuser gui program would be a good thing. The adaway software, as well as many other privacy/security related software need root permissions.

This rom is rooted. You should have superuser.apk in system/apps. It should be shown in available applications list (it has a little green android icon). This is a free version in which root access is granted by default. You can also get chainfire su or another su app from the market and configure them the way you want. With regard to textsecure: This is the latest version, which may have bugs. Here is a stable one, which you can install on top:

This rom seems cool I ll try it later..It would be awsome if you port honami taskswitcher and small apps..This has become apple of eyes of xperia ion users..

Thanks for the link, but what I did in order to remedy the textsecure force closes is to install titanium backup, remove it, and then reinstall via google market. Since I happened to also have a backup of the messaging app, I also installed it just in case. I am aware of the three major superuser apps, and did not see any of them listed in the app drawer. Perhaps something went wrong with my initial install. Regardless after a SuperSU download from the market all works well in that area. I get the feeling that as textsecure bugs/errors go it may have something to do with it being integrated into the rom. Have you tried to install this rom as a fresh install after building it? Sorry if I sound critical, I don't mean to be, just seeing as how you seem to be the most viable dev thus far for Ion rom's, I figured I would toss in my bit of constructive criticism and bug reports.

You should be ok with installing a standard honami home.

Thanks for your input. It is possible that some apps may not work properly if put in system, although they should. I do use this rom on my phone, but I also use backup to restore the apps, so, I wouldn't notice textsecure issue...

You could try to overwrite phonebook, contacts, calendar, calculator and clock apps with white ones. I am not sure if white settings would work, as they are tied with other interfaces.

You should be ok without it. If you want to check wheather your h has lte hardware, you can try roger baseband: just get the ftf file in spectre's sticky. Flash it with flashtool: uncheck everything and exclude everything but basebands.

I think honami framework here includes support for small apps. I had no trouble putting many in system/apps and then adding them in their dock: just hit the "+" button. I also use Xposed module for that, which may explain why I had success with small apps.

No I already checked it.Ithas been ported to cm4.2.2 and open semc 4.2 rom but not to 4.1.2 stock jellybean..

an Android app to mimic the stock ZUI swipe left/right (navigate in app history) behaviour for custom Nought based ROM.
Requirements:

Right swipes works.but left swipe fc if it is last open app .if app closes it has to be started again to work

I tested on Candy7 and of course it tends to be buggy since it's just initial release. It would be great if you can provide logcat

As far as I know AICP is lineage base does not support application selection as swipe action. In this case, install app like Button Mapper and set activity for the swipe actions

For Those who are confused how to apply in AEX .
Settings>extension>System>buttons>swipe left>select application>activities>recent swipo>

- is this exactly the same behavior as the ZUI rom (i.e. swiping left/right works even if last used app is already dismissed from the background list?) or is this just the "last used app" function already available in most custom roms, that requires the app to be active in the background for it to be able to switch to?
- separately, how to uninstall this mod? is there an apk version?

- Apps need to be activated in the background to be able to switch; this is how it works in stock zui too. If you clear recent apps tray, you won't be able to switch.
- it's just an apk in the flashable zip. Extract and install it as a system app. To remove, simply delete /system/priv-app/RecentSwipo directory and reboot your phone

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Download the zip, under this post
2. Boot into TWRP
3. Format data
4. Install zip
5. Restart your phone!
No additional files need to be sewn, even if you are migrating from the drain.
P.S. Who put the previous versions, a new one can be rolled on top without wipes, and immediately flash the archive of Magisk + Busybox.
If you use facebook, you need to flash the zip listed too because the rom developer blocked facebook for some reason ._.

Hi, tried to install your rom, nothing, TWRP starts to flash, but immediatelly restart into re covery, forcing reboot, newer system finish boot (or I have to wait hours?) thanks for answers.

Shure, formatted data and install rom, after a while, few seconds, stop imstalling and restart automatically into twrp... that's all, after second restart into recovery, I've force restart system, but never started my phone, I had to restore an old twrp backup to restart so on it....

I dont really know whats happening i have this problem too but you can edit updater-script and remove the system/cache wipes and wipe manually

I'm downloading it because it look like a great modded ROM but I'm not sure if I'll install it. I'm trying to find a way to install TWRP without tripping Knox eFuse first.

You cant install twrp without tripping knox fuse, it's 1000000% impossible to do that

2 questions:
Where is Call recorder, and Where is data icon on left?

Do I have to just wipe the data or even the system?

how to remove it?

finally I was able to edit updater-script deleting deleterecursive cache, but nothing has changed, the flash starts and in a few seconds the smartphone will restart in recovery. it also happened that after the flash does not restart in recovery but the system is restarted. I don't know how to solve this problem

Good to know mate! I just managed to finally root the phone and install your Kernel on the stock ROM to see how it goes until i install this one, by now everything is going smooth, finally getting used with all this stuff since in the J5 rooting was just eyeblinded stuff
(btw this goes off-topic but can't stop laughing at your avatar, Ganacci is a living legend)

also, on a stock ROM (8.0) I have a randomly arising bluetooth media volume glitch, especially with Jabra Stealth headset. It is veeery annoying
is it fixed here?

Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 android 9.0 enable aod

Is There an apk for enabling aod in samsung Galaxy j5 2017 with android 9.0? I found one, but It doesnt work. Sfmbe

Which rom do you use?
All pie roms have AOD
Even at j5 2015!

I have stock rom. I dont want root. Do you know how to enable it? It doesnt appear in settings

I m not sure exactly that this works or not .for some people worked,but you can try it
There is two APK should be install to work aod
Aod service and aod plugin
Find them at internet and install them(i prefer to use latest version if some of them doesn't work)(try different versions)
After install them go to settings and give permission to thies apps then reboot your phone
BTW you should download thies apps for pie not for noghat!

I found new aod service, but I couldn't find new aod service plugin, so aod service didn't install. I found two older ones, and surprisingly it worked! But clock is older Samsung experience style, not one ui, and pop up notifications appear on top, not in notification section on aod. If you have new aod service plugin, or you found it, you can send me link, I will be grateful. And I'm also looking for working smart capture apk's, because I found latest apk, but it didn't work.

Question [SOLVED] Opening "recently used apps" switches away from the app I'm currently in. - Samsung A52s - OneUI 5.0 - Android 13

When I want to see the apps that are running in the background or switch between them, the app I'm currently in isn't the one that's showing up first.
This never happened to me on any other android phone or ROM.
(This phone has the stock ROM, no bootloader, no root)
It doesn't metter if I use gesture or button navigation.
I used "universal android de-bloater" (uad gui) to remove some crap, mostly Samsung and Knox stuff, but I didn't remove anything that wasn't in the recommended list, or didn't have a clear description.
Did I do something wrong? Should I try a factory reset or is this a known issue?

That's defualt OneUI behavior.
If you want to have the currently running app show up first you need the HomeUp GoodLock module.

If you don't live in a country that GoodLock supports you can also download FineLock from the playstore. It has all the download links for all modules
