Root on VK70028A SOL? - G Pad 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I have just received a VK700 LG G Pad 10.1 on Verizon.
I tried the root methods available, kingroot (didn't work, stopped at 34%), the "one click root script" (Says it worked, but it doesn't, no SuperSU), tried the guides for doing it manually using "SendCommand.exe" (Can push files, chown them, but when I try to run the .sh files it just gives another line. It doesn't give any output from the .sh file, so it doesn't run...)
I really hate this right now. Has anyone else successfully rooted their LG G Pad VK700 on Verizon with the latest firmware?
Anyone know what I can do?

Found a way:
Downgrade to 22A, update using built in updater to 24A. Root with kingoroot, uninstall KingSuperUser install V2.79 SuperSU, run SuperSU and update binary, reboot and enjoy. 25A and higher cannot be rooted yet, but there really is no reason to.

Have you followed the rooting procedure fully? In the forum it tells you how to properly root your phone. With the su binary not being found it seems like when you used framaroot it didn't install the binary (due to the half root it does). You need to keep using framaroot until SuperSU is installed and once it is you then need to use BusyBox pro to install the latest version of BusyBox (this may make the phone reboot, you have to keep going until it does get installed). Then you need to use the root fixer. But go and follow the proper root procedure, it explains it better. You should find it in the general forum.

Hi gamer649, thank's for your reply.
i just reinstall my superSU using framaroot, and the rootfixer finish its job flawlessly.
May I ask, is it possible to upgrade to this firmware then root? Or is it only possible with rootfixer?

[Q] Help with rooting phone

I have an LG G3 on T-Mobile, running android 4.4.2 and my software version is D85110r. I downloaded and installed Stump Root and when I load the app it says "Device is already Rooted". Then I remember I had previously rooted the phone last summer when I got it. But I'm having issues with several apps not working because of root permission. So then I download and install SuperSU and when I run it, it gives me the message, "There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSU cannot install it." It then says something about if you have android 4.3 you need to re-root your phone. How do I proceed? Do I need to un-root my phone and then re-root? Thanks for any help you can provide!
Anyone?
same here. I am not on 4.3 but still getting the same message. Fix?

Hello! I had no problems rooting my F400k with this root tool.. I also tried rooting with Stump but it failed many times.. I suggest format your phone then try this root tool. Look at number 5 of this post.
Attached is the root tool. Good luck

This thing does not work as of JANUARY 17. The phone does not go into recovery mod, but just restarts once you click run.bat file

You've flashed other root tools like Stump, etc.. right? It probably left some files behind after unrooting.. Factory reset and try that root tool again.. I've always used it and rooting was a breeze!:fingers-crossed::good: If you have updated to the latest firmware then maybe rooting isn't possible at the moment. Try downgrading to the previous version you had after you've factory resetted and used that root tool.. Good luck mate!

Cant root LG G3-tmobile D85110r

I have updated my t-mobile LG G3 to latest things, and now I can NOT root it, I tried purpledrake and it didnt work.
is there any way I can root my phone without being have to downgrade or loose my data?
Have you tried this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3004158
I used that last month, no problems. Did two OTA updates I think to get onto 10r then followed that. Step 7 is where you need to pay attention., and follow the instructions EXACTLY. Install the LG G3 drivers, just because your device may be detected doesn't mean you're using the right drivers. And if I recall correctly, one step took a lot longer to complete than I thought it should, just wait it out.
I was also having the same issue, so i find a tutorial for downgrding to 10c or 10m, so i did this and than root successfully.
had the same issue 2 days ago when i finally factory restored & updated to 10r
had to flash touchwiz then another file within that recovery to root and install super su, supersu wouldn't install forcing me to install from the play store & viola.

If you have 10c you can just use stump root. It's a one-click root.
Use the LG Flash Tool to downgrade down to 10c. I could not root with 10r but had no problems with 10c.

Permanent root without TWRP? (MM)

Hi,
Can anyone help me to get permanent root without installing custom recovery like TWRP? I tried KingRoot but after restart root disappeared. Also, I tried to install latest beta SuperSU but it failed and can't update binaries. Thanks a lot.
If the phone is running Lollipop, use the first method in this thread...
[GUIDE][ROOT] Newest Root Method for LG devices
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/guide-root-method-lg-devices-t3129197
If the script in the first method doesn't work for you, then use the second method. If using the second method, extract the contents of the New_LG_Root_v0.1_by_dig.zip (the link to the file is at the bottom of the OP), and open a command prompt from within the extracted directory. Then run the posted commands in the OP from there. If you're still running Kitkat, use this method...

Hi, you must install KingRoot latest version and Beta Super su 2.5.2. After this you would have enabled administrator permission.
In case of failure the update binaries in SuperSu, you must again install TWRP apps in order to install the custom recovery ( the latest version is 3.0) and finally, you must install the Supersu file (from recovery) in version 2.52 (is the one that works best on android Marhsmallow).

After you used Beta SuperSU, did you delete/erase Kingroot? If so, how did you eliminate Kingroot?

I don't delete kingroot apps.

T707A Lollipop with root. How do I use SuperSU instead of KingoRoot?

Ok. So, I downloaded the KingRoot apk onto the T707a 5.0.2 from the website using chrome on the tab. It took a lot of tries and a long time, but it is rooted!
Now, I'd really like to uninstall KingRoot and use SuperSU. When I open SuperSU, my error is: "SU Binary occupied".
I really want to be able to use FlashFire and other rooted apps, but it seems that FF required SuperSU. It will not run with KingRoot.
I really dont want to have to start over with Kit Kat. PLEASE let me know, is there a way to use SuperSU instead of KingRoot after root is achieved on Lollipop? I need semi-detailed instructions please. AND I am not sure how to uninstall kingroot correctly.
I have tried scouring xda and havent found much on this.....
Thanks!
