I recently purchased a chinese variant of Redmi Note 5 with 6GB of Ram and 128 GB of storage from Pakistan, I was not aware that It's not one of the global version. Currently the MIUI version is MIUI Global 10.0 | stable 10.0.1.0 and an update to 10.0.4.0 is available, will an update create any issues for my device?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

It's worked fine on version 10.0.3.0
Can I install 10.0.3.0 over this with updater on phone ? Will it brick device or would not allow to flash previous version on a new version via updater app ?
Hello, I have been running a rooted mi a2 lite 10.0.9 for a while. I'm wondering if android 10 on mi a2 lite is good enough to upgrade to after months of its release. My current set up flashes a black screen from time to time when im in video calls in whatsapp or snapchat. I want to be stock, if i choose to upgrade i will keep the device stock(no root, no magisk, no custom kernel) , but ive heard so many problems with Android 10 that im not sure if its worth it.

There are still a tone of bugs and stability issues to be fixed, you can find more info here and here, I kinda' gave up on this device and don't use it as "smart" anymore. The problem is that most of those bugs are day1 bugs (for those who could update and didn't end up bricked). 10.0.9 isn't september update? I suggest you install the latest January Android9 patch and wait... I decided to be part of the Android 10 test and report bugs as fast as I can, so we can have them fixed... but it seems we're 6 months into Android 10 and nothing good came to this device.
Hi!
I have updated my 5T to the latest version of OxygenOS 10.0.0 over OTA. After the update the speaker stopped to work. If I active the speaker it does not work and the caller cannot hear my voice.
Any updates on this issue?!!!
I am thinking to install a custom ROM. Most probably "PE" but I have noticed that it is no longer receive any updates. what is your recommendation?

Hi,
I own a mi max 3 the (official international version), with its original MIUI global 11.0.4 stable.
11.0.4.0(QEDMIXM).
Can I expect anytime soon an official update to MIUI 12? And do you guys recommend it to install if it comes out?
Will i lose the ability to record phone calls if i update?
I just use this phone for browsing the internet and listening to internet radio only
They made us happy with a dead horse....
Just updated to miui 12.
Hi, i am currently on MIUI Global 11.04. (11.0.4.0. QEDMIXM) and just have one question as I got little bit confused about that so called Anti-Rollbackfeature:
If I upgrade to V12.0.1.0 which is the new MIUI 12 Global, can I flash back to 11.0.4.0. QEDMIXM if I dont like MIUi 12 or shouldn't I try this to don't risk a brick?
Thx!
completely surprised, updated to miui 12.
My POCO M2 Pro (6+64 GB) is still running MIUI 12.0.4.0 (QJPINXM) stable based on Android 10. It keeps saying there are no updates available but I'm pretty sure it has the requisite hardware to run Android 12, plus some sites are saying it has received the 12.5 stable based on Android 11 ROM already. I have even downloaded a MIUI 12.5 ROM (at least that's what it says) from some shady website but it keeps telling me "Update to this stable version is not allowed".
Anyone else facing the same problem? Got any solutions?

Ridiculous how Xiaomi ignores these phones just because "they're budget devices". The M2 has such good hardware.

Yes i agree but as usual xiaomi being xiaomi we can't expect much from them or atleast i don't expect so for me custom roms are always the best go.

Same problem how can we solve this problem?
Any updates to this issue? I am also stuck with MIUI 12.0.4. Tried Resetting and reflashing stock 12.0.4 ROM. Downloaded several official ROMs that were released after aug 2021. Cannot flash any of them with the updater. Only option seems to be unlocking bootloader and trying to flash fastboot version. But I cannot unlock bootloader as my work related enterprise apps will stop working.
Has anyone been able to upgrade to Android 11 ROM on poco M2 pro?

Afaik there hasn't been any official updates for the device after 12.0.4 version. I'm going to wait aa few days for the full rollout of MIUI 13 and hope that the m2 series is included
The MIUI 12.5.3 update finally showed up on the phone today. Installed it immediately. It is still in stable beta, But I got a notification as I had enabled the option to get updates early in the settings.
Installed fine and seems to be working fine. Android updated to 11. Security update till Jan2022.

Bit late considering A12 has been out for 5 months now. I've already switched to a custom ROM.
