How do I change "Device model: ONEPLUS A3003" name? - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

Hello,
I've been looking all over and I've followed this guide "https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/guide-change-device-model-extra-step-t3559040" and pretty much a similar one on "**********" but none have worked.
I'm trying to get the device model name changed, I've edited build.prop and using ADB but it's still not changed. Anyone know how I should fix this?

Those permissions don't work? But yes I've added the "ro.product.name= *desired name* line but still it doesn't work.

Hey I'm trying to change my device model too. Have you found out any working solutions? I also did what you did to no luck

why do you want to do that, if I may ask?

[APP] S-Voice on SII + How-To Guide!

The S3 firmware has been out for a while and it comes with lot of suprises! Like it is 1GB in total!
Another surprise is that it comes with S-Voice and Many more features! Currently, I have tested S-Voice on AOSP ROM (SGS2! DUH!)
On to the How-To guide:
Things Needed:
AOSP or CM9
APKs package from here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1662050 (All APPs are included so that you can play and test all of them if they work)
Patience
Process:
Just Find the voicetalk.apk and put it on your device.
Make sure Third-Party Apps are allowed to install!
Now go to that apk with a File Manager on your device.
Then just install it as a normal apk and there you go!
Congrats you have S-Voice!

It's kinda slow due to slow connection between Samsung servers but still it's Awesome!

Hum fine !
But now, you've got to edit somes files to make it works. --> Or 'Network Error'
Source :
http://news.softpedia.com/news/Samsung-Blocks-Unofficial-S-Voice-Service-Usage-270794.shtml
Go in Root Explorer, open /system, edit the "build.prop".
Replace all "GT-I9200" by "GT-I9300", and "galaxys2" by "galaxys3".
Then Reboot.
After That, all Right, and let's play !

Actually Samsung has busted S-Voice for the unofficial devices other then Galaxy S3, so this actually doesn't work. To fix it replace GT-I9100 values in the build.prop file to GT-I9300 to cheat Vlingo's servers.

Try here, All credits go to MyLifeRocks10 for the link, its one where you dont need to change build prop. Also Ive found that disabling the wake up command stops the FC i was getting, and i havent had a network error since.
i think changing build.prop will cause market errors

1) first of all be sure, that you want to add it to a samsung based rom
2) after that download the note2 mini rom from the rom section (you will find it with searching)
3) extract the .zip file, search the systemui, secsettings and secsettingsprovider (they are in the preload floder)
4) put them on your phone, replace the original 3 files, with the new ones (use root explorer)
5) you must make a factory reset, otherwise the secsettingsprovider wont do the job
6) enjoy, and dont forget to thanx

[Q] Please help to remove menu on Galaxy Note 2 SHV-E250S

I bought a Galaxy Note 2 (i605 Verizon) but by mistake I got a Korea version SHV-E250S instead. I do like it though but it has a black menu always appears on the home screens as shows in the picture and I could not find a way to remove that menu even I tried all of the Setting and I do believe there must be a way to do so. Does anyone have an idea?

[J737P] J7 Refine How to modify APN [ROOT]

First, before you start, this is for root users.
*Remember to follow the steps correctly
1. You will need those apps:
1 CSC Features expert
2 Mix Explorer
3 link2sd
*all the app will need root permissions
2. Open the Csc app And find: Opmenu
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And Rename the SPR To GLOBAL
You will see that the changes will not apply when you save it, do not worry, all you need is the file feature.xml
3. Open Mix Explorer go to: / System / csc There is the file features.xml Open it with the tx editor from the MIX and verify that the changes were applied correctly, find this: ConfigOpMenuStructur That should look like
If it is in GLOBAL, do not modify it, but if it still says SPR, change it to GLOBAL.
* Now we will move that file to this address: / odm / omc / BST / conf * Being there we will find several files
* Rename the file [cscfeature.xml] To [Originalcscfeature.xml] and now Rename the file [features.xml] as [cscfeature.xml] * It will have to look like this.
4. Open Link2sd and find: Sprint OMADM And freeze. Since this is the app to refresh the APN every so often.
*Now go back to the initial screen of the app
and do a Quick Reboot * After doing the Quick Reboot, now we are ready to modify our APN
5. Go to Settings,connections, Mobile network, Access points names
open it and modify what you need to modify and do not forget to save the changes.
6. go back to the mix explorer app and let's rename the previous files to their original state
[cscfeature.xml] To [fakecscfeature.xml] and now Rename the file [Originalcscfeature.xml] as [cscfeature.xml] * It will have to look like this.
AND NOW DO A SIMPLE RESTAR AND THAT'S ALL
Where uable to do anything else with the apn ie unlock..?
