OEM Accessories for Samsung 8.9 Galaxy Tab

FULL SIZE KEYBOARD DOCK, Model No: ECR-K15AWEGSTA
It looks like it is a 10.1 size keyboard but with 8.9 slot. The keyboard is wider than the tablet, unlike for 10.1 where the difference is negligible. But that's not really important, what is that the keyboard is super comfy and completely changes the way you interact with the tablet. Especially when you extensively use Documents To Go app or similar. Anytime I have an opportunity to use it I do it instead of using Thumb Keyboards app I have installed as well. This keyboard has fully functional tablet port passthrough extender. I checked its operation with USB and SD card adapter, it works flawlessly. You can also plug your charger while typing or chatting long hours with Google Talk without worry that your battery will die. Tablet recognizes keyboard automatically and switches its input mode to Samsung keyboard without you doing it manually. Tablet fit is tight so it wont wobble back and forward as you move it around. Anti-slip cushion pads underneath prevent keyboard from shifting when you type or push tab screen. Price is $79 plus free shipping on manufacturer website. See photos down below.
MULTI-MEDIA DOCK for Galaxy Tab™ 8.9, Model No: EDD-D1C9BEGSTA
MULTI-MEDIA DOCK for Galaxy Tab™ 8.9, Model No: EDD-D1C9BEGSTA
This dock fits perfectly to my 8.9 tab. Like the keyboard dock it has Samsung connector and 3.5mm jack passthrough. Same thing with charging the tab, you can do it by connecting your charger. When you connect it to your PC, you can transfer files to and from your tab. Both USB and SD-Card adapters - separate accessory - works as well. Very sleek and high quality looking design. If you can live with touch screen keyboard and you need a dock, this is the one for you. Price tag is $35 directly from manufacturer website.
Galaxy Tab 8.9 Leather Pouch, Model: EFC-1C9LBEBSTD
SGT8.9 is one of the thinnest tabs around so why not to enjoy it? That is why I purchased this pouch which perfectly protects my tab whenever not in my hands. The fit is perfect and material quality high, although I am not sure if this is genuine leather. But it is thick enough for years to come. Tab wont slip out of it uncontrolled, on the other hand it requires no effort to take it out of the pouch. I love it. Purchased directly from manufacturer website, worht every penny.

My local Best Buy had the 10.1 keyboard and it was smaller than the picture of it I had in my head. From pictures, I just imagined it being a tad bulky and not very attractive. But it felt nice in my hands, felt pretty solid and well made. It even has a little sex appeal... a little. The keys feel and work well, very responsive and have a pleasant touch to them. Unfortunately, they did not have one for the 8.9 Tab. I might just have to order one of those bad boys. Although, a bluetooth keyboard/stand combo would be pretty awesome too. Hmmm... Decisions, decisions...

What accessories have you found so far?

As we all know the SGS3 is the same across the board physically and I set out to get some accessories day 1.
I'm with T-Mobile and they had some screen protectors the day I bought it and nothing else.
I then went to VZW and they only had some gloss purple cases and the multimedia dock. Got the multimedia dock.
I wanted a case with a kickstand so I then set off for AT&T and got the casemate (white/grey) with kickstand - fits pretty good. AT&T also had this screen protector that came in pebble blue and white - and its supposed to be bubble free and last the life of the phone (i-zig or something). Looked pretty slick on the Galaxy Note.
I haven't been to Sprint yet but plan to stop there soon.
So what have you found and bought?
Why are u buying accessories at the phone retail store?
Whatever u found at ATT retail store, you can found on amazon for half the price.
Just because, the fact that I can walk out and just get it when I want it makes it happen for some people.
Update!
So I was pleasently surprised when my phone with the Casemate case (from AT&T) on would fit into the multimedia dock from VZW. I was apprehensive at first due to my experiences with my HTC Sensation having a case on not being able to fit into HTC docks for the Thunderbolt.
No such issue (so far) for the SGS3.
A side note - I am guessing it was done on purpose but the SGS3 is heavily borrowing from HTC IMO with the lockscreen launch apps and the dock mode that kicks in automatically when you dock your device.
It just dawned on me to give the SGS2 a twirl on the mmdock... be back after charging.
Success! The Multi-Media Dock works for the SGS2. When docked it will present multiple options if available. For me it was "Clock" and "TuneIn Radio Pro".
"Clock" is "dock mode" Once plugged into the USB port audio will come out the backside through the "line-in" to whatever stereo/speakers are plugged in. This also means if you have a home theater you can plug it into that for the SGS2/3 and I'm even going to assume the Note.
The one down side to the SGS2 is that it WILL NOT fit with BodyGlove kickstand case snapped on. Suckage...
What I would like to see next is a true Multi-Media Dock that has a HDMI port built in so you can plug it into your TV all while being docked.

Laptop Replacement Case

I'm looking to turn my Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition into a full replacement for laptop. What I would like to find in a case:
1.) Ruggedness. I'd love to be able to accidentally drop my tablet while carrying it with me to class and not have to worry about having broken such an expensive gadget.
2.) Flexible angles. My laptop can pivot to a wide variety of angles. I would love to see this for my Note tablet too.
3.) Trackpad. When my tablet is in the case I would love to be able to switch to a trackpad approach of navigating the screen.
4.) Keyboard. Moreso than a bluetooth keyboard I would love something that can get its power from the tablet itself.
5.) High quality materials. I don't want flimsy faux leather or plastic. Metals would be preferred.
Are there any products that match some or all of the things I want in a case? Money isn't really an object provided it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Things like having a track pad, the wide angle range, and a keyboard that gets its power from the device (usually you would want vice-versa) is probably something your only going to find with a Asus transformer pad and its keyboard dock. I don't think such a thing will ever exist for this tablet. The best you can do is a bluetooth keyboard and a bluetooth mouse.

Non flip case with card holder on the back

Hi all,
Has anyone seen this type of case before for Z3c?
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Business-Wal...Cell_Phone_PDA_Cases&var=&hash=item3a973d1fe0
I got one for my Xiaomi and it's so wonderful! I am not a fan of flip cases especially without the sleep/wake feature.
Cheers.
Anyone?
I doubt you can get one like with the Xiaomi. The Z3C is too small, so a case like that would only be able to hold 1 card without blocking the rear camera & flash.
too bad i've been looking for this exact style of case...I had the incipio stash back for my iphone 5 and loved being able to stick my credit card debit and ID for going out. Now that I have this phone i forget my wallet constantly as I was super used to not having the lug it around haha.
You could also add a card holder to the back of your case like this:
http://www.amazon.com/Choize-Silicone-Adhesive-Sticker-Samsung/dp/B00N2FS0MU
I think you can find them much cheaper than the link though. I get them free a lot as company schwag at events. Works great.
From Oakland with love on my Xperia Z3 Compact

[Q] Anyone tried this Aluminum Keyboard case?

Has anyone tried this case on Ebay? It looks a little thicker than I was hoping for. Im trying to find the most portable keyboard I can pair with my Note. I carry it around the office a lot, and it would be nice to have a thin, light keyboard integrated into the tablet as a case/stand.

Um using one for my note and after a lot of research I found out that no better alternative is available as our note lacks heavily in the accessory department( as samsung itself never releases any good accessory for this marvel piece of engineering). Using it for 3 months and the keyboard works flawlessly though the case is not an example of perfection. Still I recommend you to buy this product as it adds beauty to the note and also it is the thinnest case available in this category. Have a look with the note 10.1 inside the case.

Agree keyboard is fine but build quality poor. Also only really has one position for tablet tilt.
There is also this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Samsung-G...73?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_15&hash=item487f2c8435 and this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-For...619?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item5d54e37e13, neither of which is so preposterously expensive.
