Unlocked my G7 in few hours for £11.00
There are plenty of sites which do it for about 5-15$ but many warn that the Tmobile variant is locked by the app, You should find an app called Unlock and it's icon is a tmobile magenta lock. You will most likely have to unlock it through there. Temporarily unlock for a month worked for me immediately the same day I bought phone, but for permanent unlock you'll have to pay the device off and then select permanent unlock. Currently the bootloader is locked by LG for this phone. If and once that is available you'll probably be able to replace the Tmobile rom and get rid of that lock feature. Then unlock via some "hack" process or buy a cheap key. I used unlockbase.com for my G5 and they offer G7 for 5$ but like I said the Tmobile lock will probably prevent you from fully unlocking the phone.

Well Recently I bought Unlocking service from one of the best Service provider which is safeunlockcode
I Recently Got unlocked one of my phone and their customer support is even quite great so I would recommend you to give them a try.
Prices are around 15$ which is quite cheap as compared to other service provider

Yeah you can buy an unlock code from me companies but it won't work in the T-Mobile because they used to unlock app. I'm trying to find one that it will unlock the T-Mobile device version using the unlock app on the phone preinstalled if anyone's hand you like doing this please let me know I really appreciate it thank you

Thanks. based on your recommendation I used these guys for my LG G7 ThinQ which has the T-Mobile unlock app and it worked out. Permenant unlock successful! This is the page that I ordered from https://www.safeunlockcode.com/lg/unlock-g7-thinq and I selected the carrier as USA (United States, US) - T-Mobile with Unlock APP

Hey Guys,
I just received my G2! I am based in Australia and did not buy directly from T-Mobile. Is there likely to be a method for unlocking the phone ourselfs on this forum?
My other option is to purchase an unlock code.
Regs,
Kit
My suggestion is too call T-Mobile USA and request an unlock code, it's free but might take about 7 days to get the code.
I am interested if all works well for you. I will be moving to Australia and I am on the fence to either buy a Iphone 4 or a G2 for use in Australia.
Sorry to bump this? How did this work out?
You know that you can just unlock the phone yourself for free with GFree, right? You can also root the phone while your at it in one go.
Ya, you can fully unlock your phone using gfree. Do you know how to use adb?

Other than unlock codes, I cannot really suggest any other solution. Having been in the telecommunications industry for a few years now, I have learned that unlock codes are the only genuine way of unlocking phones.
I would find someone with good feedback on eBay, or if you were looking for a free solution (if you are willing to do a bit more to get it), I have had success with freeunlocks.com. But in the end, choose a reputable site, with lots of feedback and good support, to avoid the risk of bricking your phone (although I believe the G2 can't be bricked by entering too many codes, but not 100% sure).
Or just follow the guides here, carrier like tmobile will give you the unlock code free if you meet certain criteria. I was gonna get it that way cuz I met their criteria. But ended up doing this first lol
hi, how can i put the unlock code for the LG G4 H811 T-Mobile.... the phone come the with the new app unlock security.. but i only have the unlock code..

The only way to unlock the TMO variant is to pay a third party for $45?
Yup pretty much if your phone is being financed. I was in the same boat. I had him do it for me and I also have a video on YouTube to show he is legit. Just send "sunderwear" a pm on here.
HAHAHA! He is the officially appointed unlocker! The only one in the world that can do it! Nah. You just need the right tool. You need to get your MSL/SPC code. Use this tool: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2394499
That's the only person I found that can do it. T-Mobile remove the unlock code prompt.
$45 is a ripoff. I just had T-Mobile unlock it for me for $0. $45 buys me a spare battery and charger or a memory card.
T-Mobile won't unlock a financed phone... You cannot unlock it through a code either..

Have you done this recently? Does this still work? Or was the loophole closed?
I sent my secondhand, unlocked G4 H811 into LG for repairs after a bootloop issue. In fixing the issue, they seem to have re-locked my phone. Because it wasn't attached to any account, T-Mobile has thus far refused to unlock it, and gone so far as to claim they cannot. I've loaded a custom ROM on my phone, and that gives me the screen to input a SIM network unlock PIN, (which I bought) but the phone seems to just hang there waiting when I key in the unlock PIN. What is the correct procedure to get this done? I've seen online ads for people who say they can unlock phones that require the T-Mobile unlock App, but they all seem quite expensive.
Hi guys, I want to buy LG G7 Thinq phone, but I found that there are few versions of it LM-G710, LM-G710EM, LM-G710EX etc. So which one is easier to sim unlock after purchase? I heard that AT&T version is the easiest one.
I want to send it this phone to my friend to India, want to make sure that I will choose the right version.
[UPDATE] successfully unlocked using this service: Mod edit
thanks for help guys
I heard that lg g7 sim unlock code will work perfectly on at&t phones, so if you can order at&t version it will be very easy to unlock sim of this phone.

There is no ATT version.
ATT went with the V35 instead.
The 710ULM is what is used on ATT and is the carrier unlocked model available from B+H or Bestbuy.

US Cellular variant should already be unlocked. Even though it's the "U.S. Cellular" model, in REALITY it's the same model sold as the official carrier unlocked open market model. The only difference is the open market model is sold by authorized 3rd party retailers like B&H Photo and those IMEI and DEVIC_ID (in the past) were also registered with the LG Developer website to be eligible for bootloader unlock codes.
But for just SIM card unlock/carrier unlock, they're exactly the same. At least that's the way it's been for LG V30 and before that the LG G6. US Cellular is so small they don't warrant a dedicated phone like like Verizon or T-mobile, so LG lets them sell the carrier unlocked model as "their" phone.
For the LG V30/V30+ US9998, there's no difference whatsoever in the US Cellular and open market models, for performance, bands, stock apps installed, etc. It's the EXACT same phone.

T-Mobile has an app. You pay for the phone and it's yours, so you just unlock it with the app. I'm sure you could just call them to unlock it too.

Lgsimunlock wont work since the g7 from sprint doesn't ask you for an unlock code when you insert another sim. Ive had my g7 from sprint sitting there
UPDATE: I did some digging around I found out that you need to open up this hidden menu to input the unlock code. I haven't been able to find it. But maybe the lgsimunlock site could work. I wouldn't mind wasting $13 just to make sure it works

Lg g7 thinQ G710EM bought in sweden (regional lock)
Hi guys, have you ever faced like this version G710EM which is not locked particular sim carrier (its only for EU carriers). I couldn’t use the phone in Asia. i bought unlocking code but is never asks the code when i change the sim card (reboot, restart, factory reset didn’t help). How can i unlock it for every carrier? Thank you very much in advance.
Your phone is region locked. On phone box you have to have a seal with a warning “For use with European SIM only“ and a leaflet inside with an explanation what region locked means and how you can disable it.
Long story short: you have to use your phone with a European SIM card on a European network for at least 30min. After that your phone is region free and can be used on any network with any SIM card worldwide.

Tesco phones are a **** to unlock. If you have pay monthly with them can get it done for free. Can request on Teco Mobile website. If not then - see below is copy and paste from Tesco Mobile website;
Paying to unlock your phone
We don’t charge you to unlock pay as you go phones over 12 months old. If you’ve got a pay as you go phone less than 12 months old, you’ll need to pay £10.
To pay, just top-up the Tesco Mobile number you gave to us and we’ll take the £10 payment from the SIM card within 24 hours. If you need one, you can request a free Tesco Mobile SIM then call 4444 free to top-up.

I figured that'd be the case. Thanks. First time I've had to obtain one and actually got it. Their customer support is not so great. They acted like I was asking for the impossible and continued to tell me it is unlocked. I said dude it says it is locked to you! I know the bootloader is I guess nearly impossible to unlock. Apparently only dev editions can be unlocked. Surely they have the tools do such. Not sure if I'll get a Motorola again. It's basically owning something you don't fully own.

I did have a little Moto X XT1060 I think? I think it might have been a dev edition. Was a pretty good phone. Most of those (non carrier branded) won't be sold in retail stores I wouldn't imagine so I guess you have to buy online? I have purchased unlocked phones on Ebay. I was just in a jam for this one and got it from Wal-Mart and on top of that it had a sorry 14-day return policy. That is asinine.

nah dude, unless you can hack the bootloader, you're pretty much stuck there. The problem is the key is generated by a program on their end, so unless you get access to this program( literally impossible) or hack the bootloader you can't access it. Its like if they gave you a pad lock without the key. You would have to look through the lock mechanism and trick it into opening, but there is probably some issues along if you can even achieve this

Hi
so finally att sent me an unlock code.
i can't however unlock the bootloader. not even via https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/unlock-your-device-b where if i inspect the page and make the "get my code" button appear it drops me to a 404 otherwise i copypaste the requested code (including #s) it says "Your device does not qualify for bootloader unlocking." the phone has att logo on it and at boot the att logo pops up too. but why can i put in now other sim, but can't upload another firmware? makes no sense.
is there a way to unlock bootloader somehow nowadays?
the phone also powers up to fastboot which i can't seem to fix either.
thanks
no test point? no "hack"? i'm stuck with att branded software? what a garbage...

There is a difference between SIM locked and bootloader locked. The OEM unlock option only refers to the bootloader unlock which is not possible at this time on any G8. Bootloader unlock has to come from LG, SIM unlock would come from T-Mobile
I bought a clean imei LG G8 T-Mobile I'm wondering if there is a way to unlock it for free
T-Mobile phones from recent years can only be unlocked with the T-Mobile Device Unlock app, which queries their servers to ensure that both the phone AND you are eligible for unlock: Account must be in good standing (even if no longer active), phone must be paid off (of course), and it must have been active on T-Mobile postpaid for at least 40 days (1 year prepaid).
If these criteria are fulfilled, they will generally approve unlock (they have to, by law) -- although they often have a hard time making it work with the Device Unlock app, even when they say it's approved. Filing an FTC complaint will escalate it to TMO Executive Office, who CAN make it work, even when rest of TMO can't -- but only do this if you know you fulfill their requirements.
Good old unlock codes don't work with TMO phones. Anybody trying to sell them to you are scammers.
There ARE a few 3rd party services who can unlock T-Mobile through remote connection, where they trick the Device Unlock app into thinking it is connecting to TMO servers. But I think they only work on rooted phones.
