So I flashed 3 ROMS from openkirin.net,
1. LOS
2. Carbon OS
3. RR Os
Everything is fine except the camera apps there. All three Roms have apps that just click normal pics whenever i switch to portrait mode (I must add they contain stock emui camera app) the apps just hangs.
Does anybody have a solution to this to take portrait mode photos on custom roms.
Or any camera ( can be third party ) that can allow me to do so.
Thanks in advance ?

Name any custom ROM. They're Camera are just bare bones. Having stock camera port is great actually. We can't really complain about camera since we don't have Gcam mod available for kirin devices.

Follow this procedure:
Dr.Anshuman said:
if you have unlocked your bootloader status and you want your original 'Locked' status instead of 'ReLocked' status, follow the procedure.
1. fastboot reboot bootloader
2. fastboot oem relock UnlockCode this will ReLock your bootloader
3. switch on your phone, go to developer menu and Uncheck the OEM unlocking
4. Reboot your phone, done , your Phone status is now "Locked" , FRP is also Locked , you can check it in fastboot mode
5. if you want to unloack FRP, then just go to developer menu and Allow oem unloack, this will turn off FRP but bootloader status remains "LOCKED" , it doesn't change to ReLocked.
Enjoy

are you on oreo?
on oreo, if BL is unlocked, developer oem unlocking option will freeze to "oem unlocking Allowed" so this procedure is not useful.
by the way, if you have untouched stock rom, then OTA updates will come even on unlock bootloader and
you can claim warranty with ReLocked status.

Hi, yes I ticked the boxes, both of them. I've attached a s screenshot of my software.
Is it possible the boot loader is already unlocked? I bought this phone used. I know that when you unlock boot loader the intro screen is white, but that could easily be flashed back to black. So is there a way to check? I doubt it but you never know.

Hey , just noticed your serial number being 0 to F , maybe related ...it looks like it's been flashed but incorrectly. Can you boot to boot loader again , whilst connected to PC.
count to 10 , press vol + once , is your serial the same ?
If the same ,it will have to be flashed correctly.
I'm ready to go sleep now ...we sort this again
Ps, forget that all above if that was a shot attempting to unlock in boot loader which is normal to have 0 to F , but if its like that 0 to F when booting into boot loader normally , then it needs flashing , confusing I know ... I need sleep lol
Figured it out.... all because of this guy:

Turns out it was the stupid lockscreen that prevented it. I turned it off and just like not, did the exact same thing and unlocked.

I was having a hard time trying to unlock mine...
(used official APK from ASUS = https://www.asus.com/us/Phone/ZenFone_2_ZE551ML/HelpDesk_Download/ )
I have discovered that if you use the command 'adb reboot bootloader'
the phone boot with that info below:
Code:
SERIAL NUMBER - 0123456789ABCDEF
SIGNING - ?
SECURE_BOOT - ?
If you boot holding the volume up when the first vibration occurs, then it will show the true serial number
but I have rooted and freezed many system apps, and I was having errors for unlocking the bootloader. Then I finally did it by simply making a backup, going to recovery, and clearing the data. After the phone booted, I downloaded the official app again, and then voila.
Just sharing my experience

I know this is an issue happened to some devices and the best way is to send it back to Google for a replacement.
However neither do I have the box and receive with me nor I am living in the official launch area. So there is no easy way for a replacement from Google. (I can't even post question at there official pixel user forum)
Therefore I really would love to know if I can indeed install the official ROM with tool like this one? https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-2-xl/development/tool-tool-one-driversunlocktwrpfactory-t3730226

If you have the stock recovery and can boot into it you can adb sideload the most recent ota zip.

You can get the bootloader lock status simply by booting into the bootloader. Locked or unlocked? You don't "think" it has a working recovery is not good enough to help you. If it does have a stable recovery, you can flash the OTA. If it does not and the bootloader is locked you are S.O.L. and the phone is dead. Follow this video and let us know.

If you can hold down volume and hit power to get into bootloader and choose Recovery, you can fix this phone.
Go here: read instructions at top. You will be booting to bootloader, then to recovery, then choose Apply Update from ADB.
Then give adb OTA command as described. Don't skip or modify any step.

If your bootloader is locked with no way to unlock it, and with no working recovery, you're screwed. The device needs to be sent to Google to fix, which is rather problematic when the device is in a country where it wasn't sold.

Did you try? I used it with no 0S installed so oem unlock couldnt have been engaged.
The title pretty much describe the whole issue: I get a persistent notification that there's an OTA update to install, but touching the notification does nothing.
There seem to be no way of manually installing it either, because there is no update option listed in the configuration.
Can't unlock the bootloader either, because there is no OEM unlock listed in the dev tools.
I've never seen anything like this. Spent days researching, but found nothing. So here I'm hoping someone might have a clue about how to enable updates and OEM unlock in a situation like this.
Any help is appreciated.

for unlocking the bootloader you have to use ADB tools. you can't just unlock it in developer setting.
for your problem i would recommend you too check the forums on how to unlock the bootloader with adb and then grab the latest official A2 lite rom (10.0.40. or something i guess) and flash it with the MiFlashTool.
this procedure will upgrade your device without any loss of data.

True. We usually need to run 'fastboot oem unlock' to actually unlock the bootloader. Problem is, the command needs one to enable OEM unlocking in the developer options beforehand, otherwise it fails. And I dont have any means to enable OEM unlocking in the dev options, because it is not listed at all!
And without that I'm unable of doing any flashing.
The only report I found regarding a missing an OEM unlock option in the dev tools concern Samsung S9. Apparently one needs to wait 7 days for it to appear. But such a thing is unheard of concerning a Xiaomi phone.

In my experience, relocking the bootloader should be the last thing you do, after you've got a working/bootable stock ROM.

So, the OEM lock/unlock thing comes with a pretty big caveat, and you need to be aware of it: loss of data.
Every time you lock or unlock your bootloader, a wipe data is triggered.
Now, for as far as I know, to lock the bootloader, you need two things:
1. Stock ROM. Don't do this on a custom ROM!
2. following command, in Terminal/Cmd Prompt
fastboot oem lock
Of course, you need to be in fastboot mode, so if you're not, and if you're booted and connected via USB (USB debugging needs to be ON and RSA fingerprinting accepted), do:
adb devices
It should display your device here. This is just to make sure ADB is working properly.
adb reboot bootloader
At this point, the phone should reboot into bootloader, so now you can do the lock command
fastboot oem lock
Data should be erased and, in case it doesn't automatically boot up, you can reboot the phone.
Don't worry about the OEM unlocking option in Developer Options. You just make sure the stock ROM is functional before attempting to relock the bootloader.

no, i run the command and it asks for changing the oem lock setting in developer options, i reboot the phone and run through the setup process. Then when i enable developer options and check the oem lock option, it is greyed out.
Is it greyed out in the on or off position? Can you attach a screenshot? I don't remember the operations sequence... But I think the option was automatically switched back to the original position (off) when you lock the bootloader. I could be wrong though. So...when you run the "fastboot oem lock" command, it asks you to....what?
Set the option to on or off? Some screenshots from both the PC, with the message, and the developer options might help to clarify this.

A screenshot would be really useful. But don't worry about it. When you're back to stock rom and ready to lock your bootloader, we can resume this then. I think either we're missing something, or it's everything ok, and you just need to switch that option off. Though, I remember I didn't have to do it manually. But I could be wrong though.
So, don't worry. Enjoy LineageOS and we can resume this when you're back to stock ROM and ready to lock.

so after running the fastboot oem lock command, it asked this in the cmd
C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot>fastboot oem lock
...
(bootloader) Check 'Allow OEM Unlock' in Android Settings > Developer
(bootloader) Options
OKAY [ 0.080s]
finished. total time: 0.080s
when i rebooted the phone, it showed the screen saying that the bootloader was unlocked. also i had to re run the command because it was going to erase my phone but that din´t happend, after going to developer options the option was still greyed out.
The last 3 days i've tried some roms from here.first i've unlocked the bootloader in developer menu, then from fastboot with the unlock key provided by motorola website,i've tried different rom, didnt like that i cannot use bank apps.so i went for locking.full reset, adb enable, reboot bootloader, full flash stock rom (last one from Motorola),reboot to check, adb enable, reboot bootloader, run command " fastboot oem lock " once ,it asked for confirmation due to data loss, then run command " fastboot oem lock " once more, then reboot to os.everything went ok,device dont show that was unlocked
hi every one!
i just bought the mi 10T global version a week ago and update it to miui 12.0.11 and didn't recieve any ohter OTA.
I'm wondering if it is safe and possible to update it directly to miui 13.0.6 via recovery mod? or i need to pass all other version?
Thanks in advance

Xiaomi suspended upgrade process from A10 to A11 or 12 so you'll need to unlock the bootloader and flash latest fastboot rom with MiFlash.

Try to download the latest rom in Android 10 rom and update (3 dots at the top right). Same procedure for A11 and A12,first and last.
If nothing works, unlock the bootloader and use Miflash.

If you unlock the bootloader, try these roms, better than stock.

You MUST unlock bootloader and install official global rom via fastboot and mi flash utility using PC. Once you unlock bootloader DON`T lock it again!!!!! I did all that few days ago since i wasn`t receiving any OTA updates either. Phone works like a charm.

The problem if you do not lock the bootloader, the play store will not be certified, which means that certain apps like Netflix, will not be available, also certain banking apps will not work. The solution being to root and use Magisk hide .
Locking the bootloader is possible provided your phone is not a Chinese version.
All this is useless with a Xiaomi Eu rom (playstore certified without root).
BTW:
Your first link has already been posted.
The second ?.
The third has nothing to do with the subject.
Didn`t have time to read all so i posted what he needs to get the update. Second link is where to get the rom, and third link of video tutorial has everything to do with subject because guy in the video shows how to flash official rom to your phone and what to do if flashing gives error. So it was meant for him to watch, not for others who need netflix. But if he needs netflix he can just ignore most of recommendations here and just root his phone if he knows how and finds some simple way so he doesn`t brick his phone

This is the problem, since you post a tutorial for those who have an unlocked bootloader and this is not the case.
And Youtube is not the reference unlike XDA

I posted the exact tutorial and process i used 3 days ago and it is to unlock bootloader, download rom he needs and use video to flash it. Simple. I had exact same situation and i fallowed these steps. I don`t see any problem, and if it is, let admins delete my posts and i won`t try to help since it gets judged immediately like i did something terrible. Anyway, since i posted a question my self with a little problem, if this is the way i might get some answers by explaining every single thing i or anyone else post, then this is not the right place to get answers... Best of luck to Powerhero with updating his phone. I hope he chooses best and easiest solution and enjoy his phone with new software.
Farewell

If you have a phone in a version other than Chinese, you can completely relock the bootloader. But this has already been mentioned.

After using Mi unlock you will have to wait 168 hours to finalize the procedure.
Then use Miflash to flash the A12 rom, first do not relock the bootloader, check that everything works and that A12 suits you then lock the bootloader if you do not want to try other roms like Xaiomi EU rom.
Mi unlock and Miflash will erase all your data.

one more thing sir and sorry for that. the process with xaiomi phones is a bit different i used to do it with samsung phones.
i did all the steps to unlock the bootloader
and tells me to wait 168 hours to unlock.
now should i use the phone normally and what things not to do untill the 168 hours complete
and finally when flashing the rom.how to prevent re-locking the bootloader and how to lock it if i want to.
thank you best regards
