Xiaomi MI6 no mobile network (help) - Xiaomi Mi 6 Questions & Answers

Hi xda Users,
I've been a Xiaomi for about 9 months.
It has an unlocked bootloader is rooted.
Have tested the official ROMs several times.
Well yesterday I tried the MIUI10 on the basis of China developer, everything worked fine but had no cellular network. Now I'm back in the global Stabel version, but still no mobile network connection and also no telephone network (for calling or SMS). The SIM card is detected I can also unlock.
is a SIM card from sunrise (Switzerland).
What I have tried:
-Reset to Factory setting
-Reset Network setting
-Sim in second slot
-Restart
Can anyone help me?
Thank You and love Greetings (translated with translator)

[SOLVED] Bluetooth Address 00:00:00:00:5A:AD after flashing Custom ROM

Me and my wife has the same Mi Max Pro and I flash an EU Rom for both of us. I noticed that we have the same Bluetooth Mac Address, I searched everywhere to see if I can find where I can edit the Address, but it seems there's none, Screenshot of our Bluetooth Mac Address is attached below
So I tried experimenting it, I flashed the Official Global Rom for Mi Max Pro to my phone via EDL Mode using MiFlashBeta. After successfully flashing, my bluetooth address is now back to the original Mac Address, meaning it was fixed, and so I thought it was fixed, I flashed the TWRP via MiFlashBeta (because I don't want to unlock my bootloader) and Boot on the Recovery. As it says I can't do anything because I have to format the data to removed the encryption. So I format the data and reboot to system. This time, it is stuck on the Mi Logo and it won't continue, so I tried rebooting to Recovery, I made a backup of the whole rom just to be sure including the EFS Partition.
Then I flashed the EU Rom. I even tried restoring the EFS Partition just to be sure if the Bluetooth Address will be fixed. But after booting the Bluetooth Address is the same as before, the 00:00:00:00:5A:AD So it means somethings wrong with the EU Rom or during the Formatting of the Data.
Now I tried flashing the Official Global Rom via Updater with a TWRP. Recovery. And now the Bluetooth Address is fixed again. But my TWRP is gone again.
Does anyone know how to fixed this?
EDIT: Solved it by experimenting.
I'm using a Mi Max Pro 128GB
Found out also the problem causing the Bluetooth Address getting corrupted.
First I'm going to explain why it is getting corrupt. This is due to the Locked Bootloader flashing TWRP via MiFlash Beta.
The whole step was this:
First: I flashed the Official Global ROM from en.miui.com using the EDL Mode and MiFlash Beta to return to Stock ROM
Second: Boot up and checked the Bluetooth Address to see if it is okay. Bluetooth Address should be unique.
Third: I reboot to EDL Mode and flash the TWRP for Locked Bootloader via MiFlash Beta
Fourth: When you boot to Recovery Mode, it will ask you a password to decrypt the phone, it won't let you also mount anything and you can't also flash any flash file. You have to Format/Wipe the Data first and reboot to recovery again. This is the one causing the Bluetooth Address to get corrupt
Fifth: So after you wipe you will flash the Custom/Unofficial MIUI ROM you want.
Sixth: After you flash you will see the Bluetooth Address on About Device>Status get corrupted.
FIXING THE BLUETOOTH ADDRESS CORRUPT
We will be modding/combining the Official Fastboot ROM and the Custom/Unofficial Rom
First: Download a Fastboot ROM here : http://en.miui.com/a-234.html, choose your right Device.
Second: Download a Custom/Unofficial MIUI Rom like Xiaomi.eu/MultiROM/Miui.su/MiuiPro etc.
Third: Extract the Fastboot ROM, and Extract the Unofficial Rom
Fourth: Copy all the files from the Unofficial Rom/firmware-update/ folder, the boot.img and system.img to the Fastboot ROM/images/ folder, then overwrite all the files.
Fifth: Download a TWRP Recovery.img in https://twrp.me/Devices/ it's either Helium/Hydrogen, then copy this to the Fastboot ROM/images/ folder. then overwrite the recovery.img
Sixth: Boot to EDL Mode and tick the "clean all" on the lower right then flash the Modded Fastboot Rom
Seventh: Now try booting on your phone first and checked the Bluetooth Address, you'll get something like on the Third Screenshot.
Eight: Now copy the Unofficial Rom you want to your SDCard
Ninth: Boot up in the recovery and you will see that the TWRP won't ask your password to decrypt the phone, because it is already decrypted. Now wipe it all except the MicroSD, this include the system and internal sd.
Tenth: Flash the ROM you want. When you try rebooting it will say no OS found. Try rebooting it to Recovery and flash the Unofficial Rom again, then reboot.
Elevent: and voila. It's done. You will now have a working Bluetooth Address and you can also manually update if there's an update by flashing it via TWRP

Hi mate, Even in my redmi note 3,im facing same issue in custom roms like LOS where bluetooth mac is displayed incorrectly but bluetooth is working fine except that it doesn't pair with some devices like philips speaker where it used to work fine in stock miui. Beforw flashing this LOS, i formated data partitions and do u think this would have corrupted the BT MAC
Also I would like to know, whether your bluetooth was working fine even after this corruption?
I searches internet but this was the only thread which looks similar and helpful. And i assume Mi max and Redmi note 3 shares same soc btw.
Thanks

Suggestions on deleted modem files and 'No Sim Card Inserted' issue!

Hi Guys!
This is my first ever thread, comment, post or anything of sort on XDA, but the problem is- while flashing the stock rom via fastboot method I happened to erase modest1 and modemst2 after the unsuccessful flash of NON-HLOS.bin file but my device booted normally to the home screen only to realise later that it is not detecting any simcard. Although I tried to flash NON-HLOS file later using fastboot but it said unable to flash bootloader file on the unlocked device, thereafter i tried many custom roms, infact all of them for p2 but the result is negative and I am getting the same feeling a guy should get when he has a mobile with no network! Can anyone suggest a way out or Shall i consider it an end!!??

very sad ! didn't you make a full backup (nandroid backup) through TWRP ?? If so, then you should install twrp img again and restore the back up. please let me know. otherwise I'll give you my TWRP backed up modem file.

My story:
I was originally on Nougat, unlock bootloader, install TWRP, erase SYSTEM/internal/cache, installed deodexed nougat -> no sim detected
Restored my full Nougat backup -> no change
Fastboot flash Nougat -> no change
Restored trough TWRP @nandakis4 full Nougat backup https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71909467&postcount=340 -> sim working, internet workig, but i don't hear anything douring calls
I tried almost all custom rom -> internet and calls working, but the CPU behaved strangely
Installed STOCK Nougat in TWRP -> no simcard
At last i was on the latest RR 5.8.3, then i accidentally dirty flashed the STOCK deodexed MM -> everythings working fine with the deodexed MM rom
I hope it will help.
Found a fix!
Thank you guys @mishua0 and @viss77in for your kind concern but I found a fix later on the web. Actually I learnt that after erasing the modemst files it is recreated by the bootloader but due to some problem it was not able to recreate that. So I re-flashed the boot.img and deleted the modemst files once again. These were the commands that helped me(on Mac):
./fastboot flash boot boot.img
./fastboot erase modemst1
./fastboot erase modemst2
./fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
./fastboot reboot
I rechecked the commands it worked for the 2nd time too. So I came to the conclusion for the fix of 'No Sim Card Inserted' issue.

you are lucky that this trick worked for you but this didn't work for some users, they told that after a few second their radio signal disappeared continuously. Even they had to go to service center for repairing. I want to know if you still facing some of this kind of problem or not ....... hope yours is now in best condition ! thanks ......

I try debug my working version (i made full backup first), step by step flashed the following:
fastboot flash boot boot.img no "no sim card error", but i hear nothing during calls
fastboot erase modemst1 and
fastboot erase modemst2 nothing changed
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn "no simcard error"
After i restored my TWRP backup I thought everything would be fine, but i realize no sound comes from the phone when making a call (again )
Conclusion 1: Do not poke what works
Conclusion 2: The TWRP don't save/restore all (partition?) data

You really saved my day with TWRP backup.... if we screw up modem (bootloader unlocked) this is the only method that works.
Has anyone had any success flashing stock Nougat? I suppose @harsh_xda and @Vis77 flashed MM. Would be interesting to hear if it worked out flashing just system.img, thus leaving out bootloader (which contains modem). Since it's the same OS version, I think there's a chance.
Also, did anyone try restoring just the modem via TWRP? Please mention if it was erased or just restored (hence excluded from the flashing process).
Clearly, you should never erase the modem with an unlocked bootloader.
Did it work for you?
Can you please advise the steps followed.
I have a bricked device and unable to make or receive calls.
Thanks

1. Downloaded the twrp backup files (some one shared the link as shown below):
".....Restored trough TWRP @nandakis4 full Nougat backup (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71909467&postcount=340)"
2. Restore this using TWRP. (After this calls will be blank even though it connects to network)
Note that you need to copy this backup folder to specific path like /TWRP/BACKUPS/ZY223VLMS9
Otherwise TWRP will not detect this backup.
3. Now download stock marshmallow firmware (that comes with fastboot, name is something like this: P2a42_S048_161111_ROW_fastboot.zip).
(you should easily find this on internet).
4. Extract the zip and copy the attached file (Yukle.exe) in to the folder. ( https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0BxNr7DAO-62AQ1lzaXlWdmhxR1E?usp=sharing )
5. Run Yukle.exe from command line.
6. After this step SIM problem will be still there. At this point follow OTA updates (first 100 MB one) and then (1900 MB one).
Note that this a long process...it should take around 2-3 hours, so be patient and get your phone working.
7. After completing you will have working phone including calls.
Thank you i will try this and report back.. Was you boot loader unlocked or locked?

If bootloader is locked then we will not have these problems. (that means fastboot will flash full firmware without any issues. ).
My bootloader is unlocked, thats the reason for these issues.
I completed the process.. I see the name of the Network providers .. followed by No Service.
I try to make a call it says network not available.
Any advise?

Are you on Android.6 or Android.7 ?
If you are on Android.6 check the OTA and upgrade till you get Android.7
If you are already on Android.7 then try restoring the full TWRP backup again as mentioned in first step. After restart it should work.
By the way it is for P2a42, for other versions this process may not work.
Here is what i did .
I was on 7.0.
1) Restored the backup from TWRP.
2) downloaded the firmware file and used Yukle.exe. Downgraded to 6.0, still had the SIM issue.
3) Received OTA update around 109mb.. Updated
3) Received OTA update around 1900mb... Updated.
4) Restarted the phone. It shows the operators name but says no Service. Unable to make or receive a call.
any steps i am missing.
Yes i am using the Indian version that is P2a42
Thanks

ASUS Z00A SIM1 No Signal/Emergency Calls Only

I have an old Z00A that has hardware problems (constant screen flickering, battery stuck at 50%) so I backed up every partition with TWRP including system, boot , data etc and purchased a new Z00A.
I used the new Z00A for a few days to ensure that there was no hardware problems and then proceeded to unlock the boot loader and flash TWRP recovery. At this point both sims were working.
I then restored the backup of the old Z00A with TWRP on the new Z00A (Had to change folder name so TWRP recognizes the backup from the old Z00A). After the restore was complete and the phone booted, sim1 stopped working.
After searching through the forums and Google I found some solutions to it but none of them seem to work
Solutions that I have tried
1. Factory reset the phone through TWRP
2. Wiped every partition through( exclude SD Card) TWRP, flashed stock recovery and installed the official firmware.zip file through stock recovery
3. Did a factory reset with the stock recovery flashed (skimmed through the setup)
4. I downloaded the latest RAW file firmware and installed it through ASUS Flash Tool (Had some issues at first but eventually it went through but sim1 doesn't work)
5. I installed the official Lollipop rom through fastboot and flashed a custom Lollipop rom
6. Flashed stock based MM rom (CleanStock), custom MM and N roms (CM, Lineage, RR) through TWRP and do factory resets
7. I have tried using the adb shell and root commands to set the IMEI but they still return to 004999--------
8. Placed the sims in the old Z00A and they still work
9. Swapped the sim trays of both phones (sim1 and sim2 works on old Z00A but sim1 still doesn't work on new Z00A)
10. Used phonetools to set IMEI but they still return to 004999--------
From flashing the custom roms and swapping the sim trays I can conclude that this is not a hardware problem. On most custom roms it recognizes that there is a sim inserted in sim1 (A pop up comes up about sim has changed etc...) but there is no signal and the phone says emergency calls only or no service. I believe that the baseband or modem file are somehow corrupted due to the TWRP restore from the old Z00A and need to be reflashed but this only seems possible on the Snapdragon variant.
All help is appreciated on this matter :fingers-crossed:

My problem was because of a wrong IMEI, I had to flash the debug firmware he linked above and use phone tools 191 to change the IMEI then sim1 began working.

Hi everybody,
I also have a problem with sim card , but it is a little bit different then these that have been described above. First of all my sim is working but not all of the time. I do calls and also I receive a lot of calls. But from time to time sim card just restarts and wants again pin code to unlock ( the phone doesn't restart). A lot of people told me that when they are trying to connect me, their phones are ringing twice and after that they heard busy signal as the call was rejected or the line is busy. In the same time my phone doesn't show any incoming call. Also it is interesting that some people told me that they can't connect me for the hole day and in the same time there is no problem with receiving other calls. From time to time I also can't dial a number. The screen stacks on dialing screen for app. 30 seconds and after that just switch to contacts list.
So what I tried till now:
1. I did a clean install of OTA WW_4.21.40.327
2. Tried to use Sim2 slot, the problems didn't disappear
3. I changed my sim card with new one with no result
4. Tried the sim card with other phone, everything works fine
May be it's time to buy a new phone, but before that I want to be sure that the problems are not caused by software bug.

is your phone fixed now?
i have the same problem with my lenovo p90 (missing imei). but i cant enabled its com port (no way to fix it with intel phone tool without com port existed). no reference to enable it (the com port) nor imei repair on lenovo p90.
i need you to enter your phone with adb shell as root, and create image of /dev/block/mmcblk0p3 and /dev/block/mmcblk0p5. or just copy config and factory folder, then zipped them, then shared here. i need them, to restore what I accidently erased (config and factory partition).
trust me, i won't do any harm to your specific data.
you're my last hope. i hope you'll understand.

How to flash a GSI in realme X?

I'm currently using Realme X RMX1901(CN)(4-64gb), i switch to different roms pretty frequently . just now, i tried OOS GSI(A only), but its stuck in a bootloop(just showing realme logo and going on-off.
this is how i flashed using latest TWPR:
1. formated all my data(including everything in the advanced option)
2. used my pc to extracted .img file from .7z file,
3. copied that .img file to phone storage and
4. flashed .img file , only the system image.
the flash completed without any error, then i rebboted it(also tried by formatting only internal data)
my question is where did i go wrong? did i miss any part or did it wrong?
please let me know, thanks in advance.

[Guide][Crossflash] V450PM to V500EM Android 11

Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any problems from using this guide.
Hi..
I've made some easy files to flash in QFIL for sprint owner. This will give you a debloated A11 on your phone. Took me a while, but i finally got deepsleep working.. So I feel like this is worth sharing. I will likely update that guide with the korean android 11 once it's released.
This was tested by Arkadii on TG. (and myself)
What's broken: (using the canadian OP provided, I lightly tested the EU OP, so I can't provide a list for it)
- Vowifi- no volte toggle (but it's working..)- lg mobile switchDownloads:

Step 0.
Extract All downloaded zip.You should have 7 bin files.Step 1.
Unlock bootloader...there's another guide for that on the g8 forumStep 2.
Disable vbmeta. (Important! Likely needed for other crossflashing roms too)- Get in QFIL- backup vbmeta and abl- Flashback the eng abl from the unlock bootloader guide (from step 1)- boot fastboot on your phone and plug it in your pc (note which slot (a or b) you are using right now)- Using the backed up vbmeta, open cmd and enter the following command:- fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.bin- fastboot oem edlStep 3.
Make a backup of everything you flash on. (use the read option before using the write one lol, don't forget to rename the file before switching to another one)Flash the following partitions in QFIL, (using the downloaded files)your phone should have already rebooted in EDL with the last command.Product, Vendor, System, OP, ABL, Boot, DTBOStep 4.
Master Reset..The same factory reset combo from any other lg phone..some user report simply holding vol- + power works for them too...Step 5.
Setup the device..Everything should be working except deep sleep.Step 6.
Fixing deep sleep....
Boot in EDL again and flash the following modem in QFIL:https://www.mediafire.com/file/qa0581emfall5qp/a11-eu-modem-modded-for-sprint.zip/file(extract the zip before)Step 7.
Reboot the phone.Go in network tab..Switch the network mode to "GSM / WCDMA / LTE auto" ...This one works for me.. you might have to put airplane mode or go in the *#*#4636#*#* and try different preferred network type.. (5g will never work on this phone....)
Step 8.
Enjoy!
For other people enjoying early access to other A11 roms, or even Nemo's rom! The modem from step 6 should work fine with them (and will solve deepsleep issue). If you are a rom maker, please refer to this thread when adding the modem to your rom
Have a nice day.

Great job there.
Now V50 sprint is getting some serious love.
Much appreciated, keep up the good job.
Thanks for putting this out, helped me fix my deep sleep issue on Nemo's A11
Just curios about step 6. Modem file. This has been asked before but is there any way to get 5g on tmobile running?
Sorry, didn't see your "5G will never work on this phone" comment. Apologies.

Just a quick couple of questions
When I use this command “fastboot --disable-verity --disabl- fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.bin” I get an error message.. - unknown command, —disable-verity. So had to run it so… “fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.bin”. Don’t know what I’m missing?
This is probably leading to my second problem. I’ve tried flashing both the USA and Korean twrps 3.3.1 from magisk manager. With the USA version i can’t mount any partitions. With the Korean it keeps asking me for a password which I’ve never set. I reinstalled, reboot and set it up specifically without any security but still the same thing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

i do not cover twrp here.. but password is set when first booting system.. (it's the encryption) which is why you need to flash the dmverity zip and to format data again.. i used the korean twrp on my phone before...

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated. Steve
I was able to follow your guide and flash my sprint V50 stock to A11. Thanks.
I can get LTE Data from Verizon network. But I cannot make phone calls using my current Verizon network. Is there anything else that I should do to make VOLTE work with Verizon? thanks again.
Hello I have a V450PM sprint but I am not in usa, this device is unlocked gsm (I got it in Ebay), If I try this can I lost the unlocked GSM??
Are the steps clear for the ones that dont know nothing about flash, twrp, partitions, etc... ME!? or there is something that can be complicated at the moment of do it?

I think this needs further testing. I'm briefly able to get data on Google Fi but can't make a call. And then another poster on this thread had the same problem. I really like the rom, very smooth, but if you can't make a call you don't have a phone. You got a PDA.

what OP did you try btw? stock eu or canadian modded?
Edit:
try to go in the hidden menu (*#546368#*500#) > field test > modem settings > lte-a ca setting > all enable
or in the *#*#4636#*#* menu and make sure your preferred network type make sense.
or in the same menu, the 3 dot option on the top right corner > select radio band > United states
after that, make sure the network mode in settings is correct for your carrier.
Edit2 :
Not sure if any of those 2 OP fits the requirement for you carrier volte..
i would assume the canadian one would be closer then the EU one.

some time it takes multiple try to get the screen to load.. just to make sure.. you don't have an nterror when you boot the phone right?
I do have an NT Code 0 error. I lost my vtm partition and had to replace it. The code at 14000 hex was "1","310,120,FFFFFFFF,FFFFFFFF,FF". I loaded TMO_US "1","310,260,FFFFFFFF,FFFFFFFF,FF" but still getting NT-Code: 0
