Hello Folks
I am trying to restore my HTC 10 back to factory. I purchased the phone completely unlocked from HTC itself.
My CID # is bs_us001
I tried to download RUU EXE file from https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc...u-ota-t3359297
but the link is broken
Furthermore the link to OTA is also broken for the same CID number.
Can someone please guide me on how to get my phone back to its factory state. My software version info is:
Android 7.0
Software Number: 2.51.617.21
Kernel: 3.18.31-perf-gbc1ed7a
Baseband: [email protected]_F
Build Number: 2.51.617.21 8.0_g CL942117 release-keys
I really really would appreciate if you someone can point me to a guide and working files to work with.
Thanks

Hi. I have 2 x Desires: 1 for my wife and 1 for me. Both bought from MobilePhonesDirect on TMobile. They are both slightly different so I checked the software version it is running and they both have different:
kernel version:
build number:
software version:
How can I update them so they are both the same? Will the Froyo update that is coming update all 3 sections?
Thanks in advance.

Is there any particular reason why you want to do this? If I were you, I wouldn't worry too much about it at this stage.
At I guess, I'd say you've probably ended up with one generic unbranded phone, and one actual T-Mobile one - does the Internet icon look the same on both phones?
If you post the actual version numbers for both of your phones, we should be able to provide some more information.
Regards,
Dave
Thanks Dave and sorry for the delay but I wanted to wait until both phones had been updated to see if they became in sync. Alas.... anyway the version numbers are:....
Mine
Kernel version: 2.6.29-0cb9f166
Build: 1.21.405.2 CL174215 release-keys
Software: 1.21.405.2
Wife
Kernel version: 2.6.29-54b7033a
Build: 1.21.110.4 CL175581 release-keys
Software: 1.21.110.4
Can you shed any light on the disparity? Also if is as you think, that my wife's is locked to TMobile - could you point me in the right direction of a tool/instruction to unbrand it - the same as mine. I have had a quick look and it all seems more convuluted than with my old Winmo device.
Thanks again.

Hey, yeah the difference in build numbers - Precisely ".405" and ".110" show that they are different un/branded handsets - You will either need to root or use a goldcard to unlock the T-Mo handset.
Goldcard: Link
Rooting: I think there's a thread in the dev section of the Desire forum
Desire bought from 02. Seems to be unlocked, but does have the 02 startup screen and scenes.
Details :
firmware:
2.1-update1
baseband version:
32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.02_2
kernel version:
2.26.29-c8d11160
[email protected] #1
Build number:
1.20.207.3.CL171460 release-keys
software number:
1.20.207.3
browser version:
webkit 3.1
How do I take this to 2.2 ? Do I wait for 02 ?
If I have to root, will I always have to use a specific way to update in the future ?
Thanks
I'm want to know this aswel ive been waiting for the o2 update but it still aint here, how hard is it to add 1 screen to the 2.2 froyo and send it out.
Could some one advise if this is the correct way to debrand and upgrade my desire..

Thanks
You need 2 things for a quick route to FroYo on your Desire:
1. A Goldcard (check the Dev forum for instructions)
2. The RUU file to run to update you to FroYo
If you can't find the RUU file you can get the 1.21 generic one and then get the OTA upgrade to 2.2
EDIT: It seems shipped-roms has been suspended so the host to the RUU files has been taken down. You'll need someone to rehost them (of Google them)
EDIT: This should work...
http://14.cnc.115cdn.com/pickdown/M...0022_signed.exe&key2=37382e33332e37352e313934
Bare in mind that doing what I suggested will give you a completely stock - and unrootable - Desire so only do it if you want to keep your phone stock
Thanks.
rooting isn't important to me.. but...
If I wait for O2 to upgrade to 2.2 would that allow rooting ?
Does this way stop it totally or is the default stock rom that could be rooted when someone sorts it ?
Hi,
I downgraded my HTS desire to ROM version 1.21.405.2 with the help of:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=768256
I successfully downgraded to 1.21.405.2 but then i want to come back on INDIA_ASIA rom. For this i flashed rom:
RUU_Bravo_hTC_Asia_India_1.21.720.4_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.02_2_release_127705_signed
This is it... it first locked on the HTC screen and then i pulled out the battery. When i tried to restart the device i was having nothing on my screen. Only a black screen is there now, when i switch it on i feel the vibration but nothing on screen.
Help me out of this i was just looking to get on my custom ROM but now i am without my desire.... :-(
most definetily you have an SLCD screen. search the forum how to unbrick slcd Desire.
Hi mariosraptor ,
Thanx for your reply.. but i again did the same procedure of downgrading to 2.1 and now my desire is running fine Can u please guide me that which will be the best official ROM that i can use on my desire so that i am not bricked again and can use it for warranty too... I purchased it from India and also when the updates were available for my new phone it was coming with HTC_ASIA_INDIA...
Current ROM:
Firmware version: 2.1-update1
Baseband version: 32.41.00.32U_4.08.00.09
Kernel version: 2.6.29-0cb9f166 [email protected] #1
build number: 1.21.405.2 CL174215 release-keys
software number: 1.21.405.2
browser version: Webkit 3.1
Thanx in advance..
There isn't one
Can u explain???
Explain what?? The RUU you're after doesn't exist so the only way you'll get it working is to:
1. Flash the older AMOLED-only RUU
2. Find the thread on here telling you what to do when you can't see the screen to flash the OTA update manually and hope it works
Otherwise you'll have to stay on the WWE ROM until an RUU for your region is released
I have rooted Desire and need/want to unroot it for some time. Thing is i used unrewoked3 and now only way (havent found any other) to unroot is install official RUU.
Some info about phone.
-Bought in Serbia (in august)
-Not branded
Thing is that i found this post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695667
Problem is that i am not sure which of RUUs to use. My guess is that it needs to be one of these three
RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.15.405.4_Radio_32.30.00.28U_4. 05.00.11_release_122704.exe
RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.21.405.2_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4. 06.00.02_2_release_126984_signed.exe
RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.29.405.5_Radio_32.49.00. 32U_5.11.05.27_release
Can anyone confirm this please.
Thanks in advance.
Sincerely,
Minja

Hello all,
I recently purchased a T-Mobile Desire HD. I got it SIM unlocked and then managed to create a goldcard and used it to flash a HTC stock ROM, which is working fine. What I'd like to know is whether the phone is now CID unlocked or whether I'll need to use the goldcard again to update the firmware? I'm aware that I could simply try confirm this by flashing a stock ROM again, but I've already entrenched myself into the phone. Also, will I be able to get OTA updates?
According to the Software Information screen, I have the following:
Android version: 2.2.1
Baseband version: 12.28e.60.140fU_26.04.02.17_M2
Kernel version: 2.6.32.21-g3d0aaff, [email protected] #1, Wed Dec 1 17:09:51 CST 2010
Build number: 1.72.405.3 CL296490 release-keys
Software number: 1.72.405.3
Browser version: WebKit 3.1
Thanks
