Hey, I am trying to add a face unlock function to my A5 2017 and apparently there is no such option in the Google Smart Lock. I know there is a method to make it work that requires root, but I am unrooted.
I'm running Oreo if that makes a difference
Maybe someone knows how to make the Trusted Face option appear ? Currently I'm only getting this:

"lightbox_next": "Next",

How to Activate Device ManagerBy default, the Android Device Administrator tool is not activated on the Honor 6X. This is the tool that lets you remotely lock, wipe, locate or call your device from your computer. This is a feature that is very important so make sure you activate it.
Go to settings> Security> Device administrators

Now you can go to www.google.com/android/devicemanager to manage these features on your phone.
This is common knowledge with most Android devices. Most here also disable it as it is really useless.

That is because Google is blocked on China devices. You have to find a rom for your device that is not china based.
no more idea

Not all devices are flash able and to be honest most of the China based devices are the worst. They seldom even use an official version of Android. More a hacked together version.
I got bored, and made this simple animation for the LG G6 (you could probably install it on many other phones aswell, but the numbers and info are for the LG G6 (US997))
simplest way to install is to use "Bootanimation for Superuser" on the play store, if you have any requests or questions, feel free to ask.

That's great! Is there/could you make a more generic Android/Google version, I'd like to use this on my other devices too.

Because of the different aspect ratio, it would be difficult to edit this one, but feel free to use parts or all of it, some tips, it is much easier to start from a frame right before the screen needs to scroll and work backwards, if you want to check out my inspiration, https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=648555
Hey guys,
I bought a galaxy a70 yesterday and I went to unlock the bootoader today but it is grayed out. Is there anything I have to do to get it working? Here is a screenshot I took of info from my phone that should be helpful.

I'm sorry I'm not sure I've ever heard of that method. I searched but couldn't really find anything concrete as to what would work.

So based on what I'm seeing is I'm gonna need to install a combination file for me to be able to unlock the bootlaloader. I've been searching for one that will work but haven't found one. Any help? Thanks.

well that's simple , If you just buyed the device there is a 7 days waiting time on it, you can bypass it by going to settings ,disable Developer settings, going to date and hours, and change the date to 10 days later, check for device update then restart the device, change the date back to the correct date, now enable Developer settings and then OEM Unlock option should be available.
The full OTA is also available in Oxygen Updater

Did you try to simply disable any Magisk module then reboot just to the if the culprit isn't there ? Is Magisk Hide engaged ?
You can also try to fasboot boot the correct boot.img that is already patched too and see how the assertion react
Anyone notice any sound issues since the update when watching videos or listening to music? I have to crank the volume way up and there doesn't appear to be any bass.

Didn't even think of that, been using edxposed for a while and didn't have any issues until now. Found some other people complaining and saying lsposed did the trick and that was it. Thanks!
There is no option to turn off the camera shutter sound. Any help?
If you have the Japanese model, it can't be disabled without tricking the firmware. I don't recall the procedure.

Korea as well and it doesn't have to be a model from the country. My Korean simcard in a US purchased one is enough to disable to toggle.

The second method, yes, requires root. I haven't seen any non-root alternatives. I don't think it's likely there would be. Sorry mate!
