ADB problems, MTP issues [URGENT] - Xiaomi Mi 6 Questions & Answers

Hi all!
I have a problem with my mi6: at the moment the mi6 is empty, no os, only recovery.
When i try to flash a recovery goes well and i can reboot in the recovery as well but:
-When i try to transfer file via twrp mtp, the process won't end, and windows dosn't show any process.
-If i try to sideload anything, the process stops at 47% without any error.
-If i try to flash, i also get the invalid "sparse file format at header magi"
I have all the drivers installed (qualcomm, android, adb).
I've an exam soon, and i truly need the phone, wich are your suggestions?

have you tried flashing the stock miui rom from miflash?

What a bummer my friend, i trully can't assist you but have you tried using miflash with your pc in safemode and with all the unnecessary usb devices removed?
When I used to have an LG phone this would do the trick (don't know if it implies in this case)

For windows 10:
Open theSettings app on windows 10 (Should be the same for windows 8/8.1).
Select Update & security > Recovery .
Under Advanced startup, select Restart now.
After your PC restarts to the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.
After your PC restarts, you'll see a list of options. Select 4 or F4 to start your PC in Safe Mode. Or if you'll need to use the Internet, select 5 or F5 for Safe Mode with Networking.
For windows 7:
As your pc is booting (after the asus/acer/dell/etc. screen) spam the F8 key to enter in the bootselection screen, select safe mode with the "arrow keys" and "enter"
Essentially safe mode is (on windows) similar to android safe mode, all services and apps that are installed by the user will not be initialized, but in windows you can open your installed apps, just the environment will be barebones with generic drivers for GPU/Sound but stuff like adb/fastboot/etc. will work fine as there are no extra variables to influence what you are doing

Solved man, at a certain point the pc recognized the internal storage and made me able to transfer file, anyway truly thanks!

It was nothing. ?

HELP LG G4 Bootloop issue

Recently after trying to upgrade my LG G4 to android 6.0 by flashing the zips in recovery, I encountered a boot loop. I have tried many thing like using the LG Flash Tool, I also tried booting into recovery and restoring a backup I made, but none of this made any difference. Please I need help.
LG G4 H815 android 5.1.1 or 6.0 (not sure) I'm not sure because I tried to flash the zips fro android 6.0 via recovery and didn't work, then I restored my phone and tried to boot up but that failed to work as well.
Try to use the LG bridge tool.
Start lg bridge.
Connect your device while off with your usb cable.
It will start - nevermind, just keep it going.
Use the "solve update issue" option in the bottom right corner of the software update screen in lg bridge.
It will reinstall 6.0 without data loss.

I might have fixed it using a different method.
Wich method?
I have the same issue.. I send my phone to the repair center of amazon. Let´s look what they can do.
Not necessary, in bootloop, just connect usb and start lgup, when it detect it, (and it will as unknown mode device) tap com port it was found on and ui will open, then click on phone info, it will connect and establish a valid usb connection to phone and open new prompt with phone info...... Then start adb command prompt and enter 'adb reboot recovery' and bingo you're in recovery.... Solves every bootloop!

LG G4 MTP&PTP Problem - pc can't detect my G4

Ok, I have a really big problem that I've discovered recently and that is my G4 can't connect to my laptop with MTP or PTP. All it does is charge the phone.
Edit: My G4 h818p is rooted.
*uninstalling and reinstalling - LGUnitedMobileDriver, LGMobileSupportTool, LGBridge_Setup done nothing
*tried different cables - doesn't help me
*uninstalling MTP driver still not working, and adds to my problem because now my laptop wants me to install Media Format Feature Pack for Windows 7 N with Service Pack 1 and Windows 7 KN with Service Pack 1 (KB968211) but I don't have Windows 7 N or KN
*checked an update on my laptop for MTP drivers or Windows Media Player but they're not showing
There's one solution I want to try, installing new windows 7 but that will be a big hassle for me since I have tons of applications to download and install again and not sure if that will help. :crying:
well it happened once for me and what i remember is that i had to install new windows sorry for that

Possible Fix
I had also faced that problem after i rooted my g4 H818n. it was not connecting with the PC in any mode.i have tried different laptops which had windows 8 to win 10.1 but nothing worked.also my Bluetooth was not turning on.only thing will fix this is for you to flash a compatible .kdz for your H818p using LG UP and select Refurbish . you can take a backup with lg backup software in mobile and later can restore everything. Than you can try rooting again. That's how i fixed it for my mobile. now everything is working fine again. Hope it helps.:fingers-crossed:

yes its volume up button. my mistake
Problem solved:
Here's what I did to make my device recognizable.
1. Uninstall all LG Driver/s in your PC, if there's any.
2. Reboot.
3 Go to Start - Then Command Prompt
4. Enter command "shutdown /r /o /f /t 00"
5. Click the "OK" button
6. System will restart to a "Choose an option" screen
7. Then select "Troubleshoot" from "Choose an option" screen
8. Then select "Advanced options" from "Troubleshoot" screen
9. Then select "Windows Startup Settings" from "Advanced options" screen
10. Click "Restart" button
11. System will restart to "Advanced Boot Options" screen
12. Select "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement"
13. Restart & install drivers that came with the device (Accessible through MTP options)
Viola! Your device can now be read by your PC.
Hit thanks if that worked for you

OP3 Not Found By Fastboot (Win 10)

So I'm running windows 10 on my pc and my op3 is easily found by windows. When I enter fastboot mode on my op3, the command "fastboot devices" doesn't show my op3. I used that 15 sec adb & fastboot installer.

Have you enabled oem unlocking from developer options?
I'm having the same problem. After going back to Oxygen OS (now 3.5.4) from MIUI 8 fastboot just doesn't work anymore. ABD works just fine (tried on Minimal ABD and Fastboot on Windows and ABD installed over Android Studio on Ubuntu. Fastboot did recognize the phone on Ubuntu but flashing TWRP resolved in a bootloop (tried the old and the new recovery image).
All drivers are installed on both Windows and Ubuntu (I even removed all drivers on Windows and added them again) and just to make sure everything gets installed I disabled driver signature verification on Windows, but as I said - still no luck.
Edit: Of course USB Debugging and OEM Unlocking is enabled (my bootloader is also unlocked since I already had tried out multiple roms)
Had the same Problem, Win10 is the Problem + the old OP Drivers + the new Update to Win10 etc.
Nothing worked, tryed everything. Created a Thread last week here also...
After that i created a new Partition and installed Win7 on it. All works fine, only thing is while Boot ur System u have to pick ur OS or it waits 30sec to boot up but thats ok.
Now i have Win10 for everything and i reboot to win7 for Fastboot/OP3
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/help/connect-to-phone-adb-fastboot-t3485079
Didnt tryed the last Tip.

Can't solve your problem, but OP3 fastboot does work in Windows 10. I did have to disable driver signature verification to install the driver in the first place, and you'll have to leave it off for the driver to stay functional, but it definitely works on Win 10.
I dont tryed ur Way, so yes after disable Driver sign. it works like u Said but i did not Test it.
i had the same problem to find the correct adb driver spent many hours but it didnt work so after that last i try to update windows 10 and find adb driver there after updating window its work like charm so all u have to do is just connect ur phone with data transfer mode on and search the window automatic updates .
Same here
It's driving me crazy. I've updated from a rooted stock OS (incl TWRP) via full OTA directly to 3.2.7, which removed TWRP and root.
I now cannot enter a Fastboot mode which detects the USB connection. Thus I can't flash TWRP again and can't root my phone, making lots of apps unusable.
I've tried every suggestion on every thread but nothing works...

Rebooted both devices, OP3 was in fastboot. Then there was a Driver called Oneplus Bootloader Interface (or something similar)

Yeah that one. After disabling the driver signature verification you have to re install it, when it's not disabled windows just doesn't install it although it says it does. After I disabled it Windows actually showed a completely new window during installation to install the driver properly

Ok, not sure if you know about this, but you'll have to install the drivers with signed driver enforcement turned off in windows 10:
Setting > update & security > recovery tab > Advanced start-up (restart now).
On boot up you'll use the function keys to turn off "signed driver enforcement" or something similar.
Then try and install adb/fastboot from this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790
It should come up with an extra security window during the installation - the driver will be properly installed and you'll be able to use fastboot on your OP3

Broken Screen/Digitizer need backup

Dropped phone, broken screen/digitizer, doesn't respond to touch
Was able to see the screen a bit yesterday but now its almost all black. I mainly just need my photos off it. Tried an RMA to replace the screen but they said they had to wipe everything first
Is there any way I can pull the photos off it? I haven't tried an otg yet, but I also can't see the screen, so im not sure it would help
Is there a screen sharing program I could get w/o first installing it on my phone?
I think my phone may be rooted, i forget if i ever did, but i dont have TWRP installed on it? (i dont super know what that is but i see other people talking about it)
Any thoughts on how to pull photos off it? I tried the adb devices but the cmd prompt doesn't seem to recognize the phone
Im quite sure I have debugging enabled, just coudln't get the file transfer button hit
Adb pull command should work, but you need to sort the drivers first (I'm guessing that's the issue).

Sorry, can't give definite answer, I know that I had an issue with drivers (device wasn't properly recognized) and tried pretty much everything that Google suggested ... Until it finally started working. I have no idea exactly what solved the issue, it was over a year and a half ago. The next time I clean installed Windows (10 in both cases) it was smart enough to automatically find right drivers.
So ... I'm guessing Googling something like "OnePlus 3 Windows # drivers" should find something useful?
About image verification: are you talking about anti-bot system that checks if you're human? Wouldn't know much about that, never personally had issues with it, but also very rarely see it on XDA as I'm nearly always checking this forum in Tapatalk app.

If you had earlier connected your phone to the PC and authorised the PC connection on your phone, then it is a simple issue of disabling driver signature verification on Win 10 and installing the OnePlus drivers on it. Search for and download the correct drivers to your PC. Hold down Shift key and restart the PC. Choose Troubeshoot>Advanced Options>Startup Options and click Restart. On restarting, there will be a list of options. Choose 7 in the Options or click F7 on your keyboard and you will boot into the disabled mode. Now connect your phone and go to Device Manager in PC. Choose the phone which may be showing up as Unknown or with an yellow flag and right click and choose Update Driver. Navigate to the downloaded driver and install it. Now your phone should be properly recognised. Use adb pull command to copy whatever files you need to. Note that this driver signature verification disabling is temporary and when you restart the PC in the normal way, the PC will go back to the normal mode. But the installed drivers will still function.
Hope this helps.

Oh wow, do you know if this works on Win7? And also I can't see my screen at all, so could I do adb pull of entire folder or hardrive kind of thing? I mainly just want phots, but i've never done adb stuff so not sure how it works
Had the same issue with my Lenovo P2. Only i didn't have debugging enabled. If you have, screen mirroring should be an easy solution. You could just see ur phone screen on ur computer that way. What helped me was to forceboot the phone to recovery with the hardware buttons, then connect it to ur pc. TWRP will automatically launch MTP. When u backed up evrything, you can wipe ur device through adb

I don't know about Win 7. It will work on Win 10. Most likely, this should not be needed in Win 7 at all as the drivers should install whether signed or not.
Regarding copying data, a simple command of "adb pull /sdcard" will copy all the folders, files, data etc to your PC. You can also specify where you want the data copied to, simply add the path to the command above. This will work whether your screen works or not. Of course, there are other methods of copying data, you can search for it if you need it.
