I dirty flashed over 20D.
reflashed Magisk, rctd-disabler and xposed.. All fine now.
After flash this will there be still TWRP or must we flash it again ?
Twrp stays..
See first post... ?
Dirty flash worked perfectly over 20D for me too. Thank you.
I dirty flash over 20D and I have a problem, no more sim detected.
I go Back to 20D and I have the same problem.
Any solution ?

Which model you have? Try clean install
I find solution, as said in the other post, after flashing kernel custom if you change from 20d to 20f you have to reflash the same kernel to have modem fully fonctionnel.

Lg wrote only security patch.
Just noticed, theres a "new" /OP partition for the H930 in the kdz.
But as my kdzextractor is still broken, and cant unpack anything, could you also upload that ? (and which extractor are you using btw, something broke mine on windows, cant even unpack old ones anymore which already worked before)
the OP partition should be split in 3 parts? i think... not sure atm
Just noticed, there's two new firmware versions of the H930 European :
* H93021a_00_OPEN_EU_OP_0711.kdz
* H93020y_00_OPEN_EU_OP_0710.kdz
Please, can us provide the TWRP flasheable ZIP files of this releases...?
Many thanks in advance for your time and great job.

Download AIS part 2 and you can install it in TWRP. I used it to install Xposed/Gravitybox after flashing a stock ROM(Maybe that's lazy, but it works haha)...
Edit: Installed on my device using that method, confirmed working on 21A.

These are for the H815 variant only. Files are from software version 20B (Android 6.0 Marshmallow).
Included below: TWRP-flashable stock rom, boot, modem and bootloader zips. KDZ and individual images are also included.
*There is NO anti-rollback qfuse used in this update... you can downgrade using LGUP HERE. You can also use LGUP to flash the 20B KDZ.
Please do not mirror my files!
20B NOTES...
1. Knock code should be back.
2. Not sure what else has changed yet...
Requirements:
You must have TWRP 2.8.7+ installed to use these files. Thanks to Dees_Troy as always for that. And, of course, you must have your bootloader unlocked for TWRP to work. Currently only H815 EU and (some) SEA variants have official unlock through LG's unlock page HERE. Please do not ask if "model x" is supported... did you unlock via LG's official unlock tool? Yes? then you can use it. No? then you can't... and you should just flash the KDZ instead.
If you have a locked bootloader and want to upgrade... just use LGUP and flash the KDZ. Don't risk it with FlashFire.
Install Directions:
These directions should be used by everyone who wants a rooted 20B system. Don't want root? Then it's probably easiest to just flash the stock KDZ... or just skip the supersu zip in the directions below.
1. Download the boot, modem, bootloader and system zips listed under the download section and place them on internal or external sdcard.
2. Also download the latest SuperSu zip from HERE [Thanks to Chainfire for his auto-patching boot.img version!]
3. (re)Boot into TWRP... don't wipe anything.
4. Backup current partitions: boot, system, data, efs
5. Install boot, bootloader, modem, system and supersu zips- ADD SUPERSU LAST! (Install > select zip > press "add more zips" > select next zip > repeat)
6. After all 5 zips finish flashing you can reboot! (if TWRP asks if you want to install SU, NO!!!)

FAQ
Q: My device shows the wrong software version in settings.. how do I fix this?
A: This is related to the "cust" (customer) partition on your phone. Using TWRP or a "Root Explorer" type app you can delete the current files in your Cust partition then you should have the proper version showing. I am not a fan of adding or flashing the cust partition... so I don't include updated cust partitions in the flashables. The cust folder/partition is in the root of your main directory.
Thanks Boss! U the man, as usual...
thanks @autoprime
I suggest you add a "NEW" on the title of the thread! because it seems the old thread! I had not noticed it at the beginning!
Thanks Auto!

Hi, anyone try Xposed with this version ?
can this modem be used on 20A based ROMS? - because my LTE reception with 20A is pretty weak, wants to slip back into HSPA mode in fringe areas where other phones have worked well.

So for those of us with a locked booloader, no root etc, we can just flash / update to 20B via LGUP and retain all of our nothing fun (root and locked bootloader)?

Flashed over stock 24.107.70 (really stock, not a debloat) using TWRP r5. Wiped Cache and Dalvik. Re-flashed SuperSU from post #14, a kernel, and the latest Xposed. Everything seems to work, all apps and their state/options were kept.

Thanks very much for the effort & hope you are well (re Hospital).
When I converted to H988 and then rooted, I also needed to flash a script to remove RCTD as well as a no-verity script.
Under features, you make a reference to verity. Does that mean those that root don't need to flash no-verity anymore?
Will we still need to flash rcdt after rooting?
Thanks again!

I dirty flashed over 20b, and then re-flashed stable magisk. That's all. No need to flash additional two zips, as westwood24 dealt with it in the rom.

Thank you very much! Wish you all the best
I have just completed a dirty flash from 20A to 20D and followed up with Magisk 16.0.
I noticed that the safetynet check fails in the Magisk Manager. I can't recall for sure if it was failing before?
Regardless, Google Pay and my banking app both open, so at first glance it doesn't appear to be blocking anything.

It's been discussed here and in magisk forum. Seems the issue lies in the magisk manager. There are second party apps on play store that will check safetynet.

For most people it doesn't actually fail, it just gives cryptic message like "No valid response" but still is hidden from Android Pay, etc.
@westwood24 just wanna say thank you for this rom and the VS996 one. You have literally given me the option to go either way and that's awesome. Sent a donation your way, keep up the great work man!
Thanks to @ChazzMatt also for helping a noob like me out and getting me to these threads haha.
Tried downloading this twice from different mirrors and the boot.img md5 is coming back as wrong.
onlinemd5 comes back with : D817320CEA7CF3B4F14E19084B33C5A5
the one supplied is : 5de0949b961663b126ea10ca7ae6a55d
is this a problem on my end or is something up with it?

I am currently using 17.1 it fixed bootloops but you have to flash the magisk uninstall first...Did that and no problems here.
Hi @westwood24. Thank for this rom! I was used 2 month. Can you help me to make a KDZ file to zip install via TWRP?
I want to make the V300s ROM for my V30+ US998. Because the US Rom can't use Bluetooth Remote Shutter (I don't know why, The bluetooth use normaly with another devices) I was tested with old ROM V300S21e, it work fine. But I want make to make a new version ROM by myself.
Sorry for my English!

ALWAYS CHOOSE REBOOT TO RECOVERY AFTER FLASHING BR ROM OR WHEN REBOOTING FROM TWRP !
Dirty flash BR 9.7 over BR 9.6 is possible. You must be on at list HVJ5 FW to boot BR9.7 !!!
Installation procedure
1. You need to be already on Android 12 fw before attempting to flash BR 9.x
2. Flash latest TWRP (3.7.0_9-1 or newer patched with Magisk Canary or Alpha, not stable Magisk) in Odin (AP slot), reboot the phone in TWRP using combo keys and the USB cable connected to phone and PC
3. Wipe your data in TWRP (type YES when asked), flash Ian’s latest multidisabler (v3.1 or newer) to disable the encryption at the next reboot then flash BR 9.x
In any of the above cases, MAKE SURE THAT YOUR DATA PARTITION IS NOT ENCRYPTED!!!
If your /data partition is encrypted, flash Ian’s latest multidisabler (v3.1 or newer) and format your data in TWRP after flashing the multidisabler (Wipe data, reply YES when asked in TWRP). Beware that your ENTIRE internal SD will be wiped.
After the first boot, when you start Magisk Manager for the first time, reply with YES (agree to reboot) after MM have setup your root environment. Toggle ON the magisk hide toggle in magisk manager.
You can experiment also flashing full stock HWA3 fw + patched twrp+vbmeta with Odin using HOME_CSC to keep your data then reboot immediately in twrp and dirty flash directly BR9.x. It could work but no guarantee.
Advises
0. DON'T START FLASHING BRx WITHOUT A FULL TWRP BACKUP !!! Backup to PC your important files: documents, pics, contacts, SMS, etc.
1. Is advisable to clean flash if coming from A11. You can try to restore your previous saved data with TWRP but you can experience problems
2. If you have error 1 while flashing the ROM - usually bad ROM zip download; wipe cache + dalvik and try to flash the ROM again
3. If you like my work, consider buying me a coffee (PayPal link)

I had this issue some time ago on Pie flashing stock FW. It can happen from various reasons: old Odin version, USB cable not original or old USB2 cable, bad download, etc.
Restart the phone in download mod and try again. Please let us know if you finally succeed.
God luck.
thank you for the rom , install procedure from stock Q ?

So finally as seen John Wu (creator of magisk) finally fixed patching of boot.img with AVB 2.0 with vbmeta structure in it.
This guide will help how to install magisk succesfully in Custom ROMs and realmeUI.
So here is the method:
- first download magisk V22 from GitHub.
- then install the app.
- then after installing, open the app and go to settings.
- after going to settings something like this will be shown.
- now in that settings, simply switch Update channel to canary from stable.
- after that return back to app and update magisk app
- after updating,open it again
- then click on install magisk as shown below
- then it will patch the boot.img and magisk patched boot.img will be available in download.
Now here there are two methods that can be followed.
•Fastboot Method
- go to Fastboot
- now add the magisk patched boot.img in adb folder
- now for flashing that magisk patched boot.img from Fastboot, just type ' Fastboot flash boot 'xxxxxxxx.img' ( name of your image instead of x)
- now type 'fastboot reboot'
- now it should be flashed successful and magisk will be available right away with it.
- Boom! Now you are successfully rooted with Magisk!
• Recovery method
Note: you would need bugjaegar app in both and secondary device for some Fastboot functionality
- boot your device to Fastboot using key combo.
- go to recovery now using this command in bugjaegar window 'fastboot reboot recovery'.
- now, select magisk patch boot.img from downloads
- now select it as boot
- now flash it
- after flashing done, click on reboot
- now wait till booting
- after it boots, magisk will be flashed successful
- boom! Now you are successfully rooted with Magisk.
Note: if your device bootloops after flashing magisk patched boot.img in
~ Custom ROM: extract boot.img from Custom ROM zip and boot the device to Fastboot with key combo and then flash the stock boot.img using command ' Fastboot flash boot boot.img'
~ realmeUI: extract boot.img from the stock ozip by renaming ozip to zip and unzip it. boot the device to Fastboot with key combo and then flash the stock boot.img using command ' Fastboot flash boot boot.img'
All credits to testers who tested it
Am thankful to testers like Nasif Naissa, Aman Kumar, Denis. Also Sarthak Roy

The boot.img will be available in the ozip itself. If u wanna root custom roms then take boot.img from custom rom zip or else use ozip boot.img for rooting realmeUI

I am stuck in one part brother. Please help me. I have been searching since long I could't find any solution on internet.
I have doubts about vbmeta.img file. Is this file the same for all mobiles? Some people use it for mobiles and some don't to root and I don't know the reason of using it. I need this for my realme 3. Is there any official site where I can downlaod it?, I would be very thankful to you.

Hey, kindly follow the steps as said, our device doesn't have seperate vbmeta partition hence we don't need it.
No need to unlock bootloader and twrp?
