Yes, clear flash and pico gapps (06/11)!
I was going to get the logcat but the constant Fc's prevented me from using the phone. So I came back with my RR backup (and as today has new update ...)

Strange, I used this ROM for testing for 12hr (As I dont upload any ROM w/o testing keeping user experience in mind) and didnt face such issue, but my gapps arent too latest maybe 1month old, but thats not an issue, however, whatever it is, keeping in mind, keep reporting
I'll watch this ROM closely..
I always prefer cleaner, more stock AOSP-like ROMs... And with a few apps as possible. So far, this and Cypher are my favorite Oreo ROMs... These tend to have better memory and battery backups.
Hello guys!
I liked the rom, I noticed some gagging and slowness in the transitions of the screens.
More at least on my Titan, it fared better than RR 6.0.0 in terms of ram memory control, which in my, even optimized was not controlling legal and even stuck a few times.
Regarding ToxicOs, I installed the Kernel Evolution Turbo, and greatly improved those bugs and lags.
I'm really enjoying this Rom and I'm looking forward to the next updates.
Thanks again @thedeadfish59 for the brave warrior endeavor.

I have not tested yet again but I think the culprit is the Dolby atmos for Oreo! I installed EAX and had the same problem, and thanks to a post from @Wolfcity I realized he was to blame.

Hello!
I had to change the ROM, as I mentioned above, the evolution kernel improved the performance in relation to the fuidez, but began to drain the battery very quickly, unfortunately, I had to change the ROM and now I put the RR 6.1.0 and say if pass is fine, much improved, at least in my Titan the control of ram memory compared to the last version.
More I'm waiting for updates of the ToxicOs, because it is very promising and I really liked what I saw.
Hugs!!
Vlw warrior thedeadfish59 !!
Beautiful rom, but a lot lag. Thank you very much for your work
I've been using Toxyc yesterday and found the rom to be very nice and interesting, but the rom has a lot of lag, the launcher did not help, I changed the launcher, it improved a bit, I installed the evolution kernel to help, I take it into consideration that it is the first build, I hope the next one might be better for use, the worst of all is that the rom is very promising, the night mode is great, I was really missing that option, the choosing the source was also very accurate, I liked it a lot, gave a new face to rom. Honestly I have no idea what might be the cause of leaving this rom so packed. Perhaps the basis of it is not the best for titan, the launcher is certainly not cool, it has many customizations, but at a very high price.
This is really a great looking rom with tons of features, but like some people reported, I'm also facing a lot of lag. Really hoping for updates here, this will probably be a DD for me if performance can be matched to other roms i tested from the same dev. Keep up your great work man, i really appreciate it, thank you and all.
Just out of curiosity, mind sharing which is your titan device, @thedeadfish59 ?
the rom is very great and it have the essential features,
the ui is a bit lagy and i am getting so many force close and the camera have strange behavior.

Welcome to VanirAOSP.
Our mission is to deliver a clean optimized version of Android to as many devices as possible. This is not a kang rom. You will find versions of the features you love that we've rewritten and improved on plus a few we wrote ourselves. we've tried to acheive a more organized and cohesive setup to improve the user experience while correcting any performance regressions and improving functionality.
If you're the kind of person that needs options to change the font and color on every letter and expect the ROM to end up looking like kid's cereal box then GTFO. You will not find customizations that are done just because someone figured out how to do them. Everything in here has a purpose and is held to a high standard of coding.
General features:
stock mode - ability revert to stock AOSP code with the exception of a few custom features we chose to keep active
enhanced performance.. longer uptime with less slowdown
custom written CRON and init.d.
minor UI and graphics improvements
custom navbar, navring, and hardware key features
active notifications (improved active display + lockscreen notifications)
usability improvements like power reboot menu and sound
animation control
Improved Vanir keyboard
CM's profiles & quicksettings
additional quicksetting tiles
immersive desktop <- fully configurable immersive mode
low profile mode
statusbar mods
clock & battery mods
lockscreen blur and other mods
soon to come -> quick cam and flash notifications
busybox, embedded root, init.d, cron etc
many improvements and new features unique to vanir
more to come when i feel like updating the op

I was hyped when I noticed this thread a few minutes ago.
Is this not officially supported? Cause I can't find the build on their storage page.
Are you a part of the team? Is this built from source by you?
Thanks.

I am an official maintainer for Xperia V but I will try to get official support from vanir for z1 compact after I fix bugs on the Xperia V builds. Of course, this is built from source and is stable for daily use as confirmed by @rob rich I will try to squeeze in time to update. Wanted to update it today but I had no time left.

This will be in next build(hopefully by Friday)
I had time to build today but vanir screwed their sources. It was trying to build Samsung stuff for Z1 Compact.

The only annoying bug I have found so far, is that the back button sometimes lags a little. Maybe it is related to the new 5 button navbar settings. But even if you don't change anything in this settings the back button sometime lags...

OK, didn't know that because I haven't used CM for a long time. I can not tell if the bug was present in your older builds, build 3 is the only one I used. So I think there is nothing you can do to fix this bug, right?

I just got home and flashed the rom, for this being the first build the performance is suprisingly fluid, and i like the feel of this rom compared to other Lineage based os's
Will always be my favorite ROM for any device. Reminds me of the good ole moto g falcon days!
Being able to change the fingerprint unlock attempt limit and the Mac randomizer toggle is such a steal for me. Will be here for a while
Looks awesome! Great work! :good:

For starters there's only features that are necessities to a good experience and nothing more unlike some other ROMs that just throw everything in. That itself makes a great improvement to battery life and having all configurations in one menu and sub section's is plain and simple just the way some prefer it to be.
P.s more lockscreen options are available by entering security>gear icon: Which is a good example of not rewriting things to be in a 'configurations menu'.
Same with LED settings for battery/notifications as well as heads up configurations. They're in notifications>gear icon, exactly where they should be.

Yes, if there are changes on github, i will upload a new build. But I think there will be no significant changes because all Rom developers are concentrating on Oreo.
Nice ROM.
Love it
Just wanted to let you know that this ROM scores about 74500 in Antutu, by far the most of all ROM's here. Thanks for the ROM, it's by far my favourite!
So after using the ROM as my daily driver for a few days I've noticed that this build has great battery life despite using the camera a lot and browsing reddit frequently. Havent even used naptime on this Rom so I couldn't imagine what my battery life would be if I did. Thanks for this once again man, I really appreciate it!

Thanks for the kind words. I'm a little surprised at the positive feedback because I need to build on a virtual machine with only 4GB of RAM and I'm always happy after fighting with loads of Jack Errors that the result is bootable. I hope I can keep up with oreo in the future. ?

Yes I know that. My heapsize is well configured. But I often had jack connectivity errors. There are more parameters you can change. Most of all I was helped by the downsizing of max services in the jack config file.

Valerie! It's made from the same theme developer that created fantasy the theme has 21 color choices, 19 background choices (even transparent), animations, custom headers and wallpapers, etc. It's a completely beautiful theme with tons of work put into it. The developer updates it frequently and even themes the slash screen for most apps that are themed by it. Trust me, its worth the Money!

That's pretty nice, I usually use Swift Dark which the dev is also quite active and always updating but I've been looking to add another theme to the fold to switch it up some times.
I can confirm what the other guys said. This rom is just great and runs so fast and smooth. I hope this will not be the last build .

Seriously i think it will be the first and last build mate... I never seen a new rom posted without 1 reply from the builder/dev, no sign of life, just we know that he comes on xda but is not interested in the rom he offers lol .It's a great rom, but unfortunaly without support

Before someone ask me:
1- No, it's not an EAS ROM.
2- Yes, you can consider it as continuity of ViperOS
Thanks man, I will check it out for a moment
EDIT!
Ok, I noticed a few things:
- There are no essential tiles in quick settings like: sound, screenshot (with partial screenshots), sync, caffeine
- Can't disable light in hardware buttons
- There is no "Double click on lockscreen to sleep" option, which is very useful
- I think that confirmation of rebooting is a little bit useless
- I'm using dark theme and when a floating window from LastPass app appears, it has black font on black background
Besides, rom looks great, very smooth and I'm waiting for next updates!
I didn't find advance reboot option,
Rom is good but needed improvement, so i wait for next build
Keep it up dev

I love the rom so far! Everything seem to be working so far (although System UI crashed few times when going to ROM settings, but it stabilized itself after reboot).
If I may suggest something - I wish I could do two things, actually - adjust brightness by sliding the status bar and also a way to enable the flashlight via double pressing power or longpressing the power. Great thanks in advance, looking forward to updates!

One minor bug I found - I moved clock on status bar from center to right and after reboot I end up with two clocks, one in the center and second one on the right side.

Obrigado,
Sorry for so many words, but i would appreciate if people could say few words about the rom and the battery life, because i'm on latest lineage os now and it's bad, especially sleeping(during night).
Don't you think it would be useful to post the minimum required firmware version in the rom description?
Also, how about adding installation instructions? It could be very useful for people who are not that geeky, including the point about firmware there, because a lot of people do not know what it is and are thinking it's difficult to change/update the rom(i have a friend with mi5 who told me so).
If you don't have time for that I can help you, probably, even I'm an android developer I know nothing about maintaining custom firmwares, but i wish to help.
I was with ViperOS (best nougat rom) and now I will try this
If anybody using this rom please provide your experience, thank you

I've been using this rom for 6 days now, what would you like to know?
It's very stable so far I did not have any issues. It's not as featured as other roms out there but the hit on the battery is also not as big as other roms. I used to use RR (pre-oreo official build) and CosmicOS and even though it has fewer features than the rest of them, I'm far more satisfied with it.

Thanks for reply, are you using f2fs or ext4
I ask this as i see 'F2FS' in the title.
Flashing the ROM is as simple as, clean flashing a ROM?
Do i have to format the internal storage for F2FS?

it seems I'm the first person to test it
It seen I'm the second person to tested
Hey @kherio,
I just installed on a US998 v30s and first impressions are really positive. It booted straight up, and setup up was smooth with no bobbles. The rom is the quickest at least by qualitative feel that I have encountered. The dac works nicely. It does suffer the same issues with Verizon as other AOSP roms. A call out is required before texts can be sent or received, a minor nuissance, and VoLTE is not working.
I'll use it for a few days and post more afterwards.
Additions:
- Native visual voicemail is working along with vms notifications. Neither works for the open market model roms with Verizon and I haven't encountered the feature with other roms , very cool.
- Speaker volume is weak.
- Magisk 18 passes SafetyNet Check.
- One system black screen crash in dialer app required a button-forced reboot.
Thanks again!

Hi,
What about the sound volume? Is it enough loud? Now I am on PixelEperience and it works fine except the sound volume. It is just too low comparing to original ROM.
Regards
Can confirm AOD bug where screen flickers as it shuts off is non existent on this ROM.
Ambient display is usable again.

That's a good news. If right this is the first rom that solved aod bug.
Anyone has the gps test? Havoc is very weak while PEX is much better in locking.

I assume so, as long as it's a US998 that's not former H931 or possibly H933.
Some former H933 do work with AOSP custom ROMs, if you do the work around.
does the speaker work during video call?
Initial review
So first of all, the install was fairly simple (that's if you've done this kinda thing before).
After flashing the ROM and GAPPS I flashed Magisk.
:good:
The ROM seems nice and stable; no random crashes, error pop-ups or odd app behavior.
It's really nice to see the ctsProfile check working correctly out of the box, so Google Pay was no trouble. :good:
The features in this ROM are great, loads to customize and some really useful options are included that help me a lot. I've had issues with previous ROMs where the fingerprint unlock wouldn't work properly, and the screen would just remain black; this is not an issue with this ROM (so far anyway).
Animations on the system are a little 'dodgy', sometimes they will be fine and other times it will lag quite a bit. I have disabled animations for the time being, but this issue is prevalent in a couple of other ROMs I have tested.

The only thing I'm wondering about. This doesn't work on any Pie ROMs I've tested so far, so if it does on this one, I'm sold.
