I just wanted something simple. I figured since I already have this ROM just updating it would be easier than trying to do a fresh install of a new OS version.

Which means your carrier service is probably not functioning at its best. Additionally, the Pure Nexus thread was the best place to post your question.

Are you going to flash an 8.1.0 vendor.img on a 7.1.2 ROM?
The last valid vendor.img for Pure Nexus was N2G47J_vendor.img.

I thought I did it right. I downloaded from the link in the Pure Nexus Thread. Now when I booted my phone it gave me an error about wrong vendor image and a bunch of ____ has stoopped messages keep popping up.

I know you want Pure Nexus but my suggestions are:
a. First, Upgrade to Android 8.1.0 firmware/factory image. Go to this thread: [Guide] Pixel XL Android 8.1.0 (OREO) Unlock/Lock Bootloader + Install Stock Images/Custom kernels/TWRP Recovery/Systemless ROOT + June Security Patch
Do #4 Keep Data , then do #7 to root.
b. Second, look at the ROMs in #11, click the links read about them and decide which one you would like to install. Then click the link for it and follow the instructions in the OP to install it.

I would also want to try Hydrogen OS on OP3, hope it totally supports English. Anybody with the download link and procedure on how to install it.
I just tried installing it. I couldn't boot it though. The error I was getting, "Need to add google account" which I had already added.
The setup language is English, however the help text which appears are in Chinese. It still has quite a lot of Chinese characters on the keyboard as well.

I have heard that h2os has fix for fingerprint causing problem in pockets. Just one question though. Which one is better oos or h2os. I just can't seems to find the difference between the two

Finally flashed H2 OS successfully on my OnePlus 3.

The steps I followed:

Dash charging did work
I used Graraks twrp to flash it
Debloater did not try.
It has permission issues, permissions apps should have are not present in the system (onedrive does not have the media permission available, play services did not have a few as well after flashing google services in twrp)
standby battery life was freaking amazing. If permissions get sorted, I will DD it in a heartbeat

Can you install onedrive and see if photos backup for you? That is the most important item for me at the moment and when I flashed it it did not work correctly
A couple of days ago, my phone downloaded the 7.0 update automatically. However, today, I found that this phone deleted 7.0 update and has been telling me 6.0.1 is the latest version.

But when I try to visit Android beta website and apply my phone into this program, my phone can acquired the OTA update for 7.0.1 with no errors.
I had my pending 7.0 update pulled as well. Fully sock phone is now showing that 6.0.1 is the most current version.

A difference of security patch level. NRD91N has a patch level of November 5 and N5D91L was released mid-November, probably has the Nov 6th patch level. The android security bulletin has more information:

WatchDogs is a ROM I created based on LineageOS & crDroid source & dependencies and I thank them for its use. SafetyNet and CTS passes whether your rooted or not. Modules not required.
Before you begin, if you don't have the latest platform tools installed on your windows machine. Download it here:

Flashing Instructions
First time installation (clean flash):
This update requires 13.1.0.500(EX01). Use the firmware listed below
Backup your data
Download the ROM, and firmware flasher listed further down on this post and place all in your platform tools folder,
Extract all the contents in platform tools, Firmware flasher in folder.
You must flash firmware in the bootloader. Boot to recovery and factory reset then adb sideload
adb sideload WatchDogs-13.0-20230625-lemonadep.zip
Reboot to system
reboot to recovery if you want root
adb sideload magisk.apk or adb sideload magisk.zip
Update installation:
TWRP SUPPORTS UPDATES. SIMPLY BOOT TO TWRP AND INSTALL UPDATE.
Updates can be also sideloaded with custom recovery. Updates do not appear in system updater.

To be honest, I just built it and haven't tested it, nor is it flashed on my phone. The build completed successfully on my Linux system so I can only assume it works and performs the functions that I intended it to. I will try it out later, I'm not up to setting my whole phone up again. By then, I'm sure someone will try it, and report back. It's basically a revamped version of crDroid with some modifications. Bluetooth, speaker audio and others.
Flashed and so far so good.no splash IMG though so just wait and it will boot to system.using on f.16 firmware.

Yea I realized I have a bootanimation issue. I'm working on it. I plan on pushing another update later today or tomorrow that hopefully solves it.

It's not copy, paste. The build differs in that I made Bluetooth and audio modifications and boot screen along with other things.
