I am thinking of buying a Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 LTE and I was wondering if you will officially support this device for your custom ROM?
Officially, no
There are means by which a developer can support it unofficially however

That is currently the case for my galaxy tab 7.7 , but these roms always have issues , official support is always better

We only support nexus and oppo devices officially.
We can't support devices that we don't physically own. This is where other developers come in

If it's not already supported, you can provide whatever is required to add your device to the legacy repo

Hi all,
I noticed this one https://m.gearbest.com/cell-phones/...zDFP3h6nDc8BzCOG1EcoSoVbZ23prEhcaAr9PEALw_wcB
Is similar to Redmi Note 5 pro specs! Not to the regular one, does that mean xda development for the Pro works with this one?
Cheers

Valid point. Which Huawei models pre mate and pro 30 had this feature? I don't think their previous flagship Mate 20 Pro even has this?

Chineese version of MATE 20x has this feature. While Global ver, does not. It was already described in forum.

Cheers.
Edit. Just read this thread. Still full of misinformation. No one on that thread mentioned about Chinese one having double tap to wake. Only a rooted user with a ROM.

2 or 3 years ago it was standard but Huawei then left it off.
I use it on Honor Note 8,Mediapad X2,Mate 8.....
Ichave Chinese version and no double tap. My cousin have huawei y max, even a little newer phone than 20 series, and it have double tap to wake.

Didn't think so, but the funny thing is @esselite said Chinese mate 20x has double tap to wake on this thread, yet on the other thread I linked above which he participated in also it said it doesn't. More misinformation again.

Ohh come on. There are even screens from the user, showing this option.

Did you even read the posts on that thread? Only one person with a "gl00balized" ROM had it working. Really surprised since you actually participated in that thread.

P30, P30 Pro, Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro all have this feature. You will see the same with AOD. AOD on Mate 30 series is the best, then P30 series. AOD on Mate 20 series is too simple/basic!

Unbelievable that lasts years flagship (2018) still didn't have these features that Samsung has had since 3 years or so. I thought Huawei was supposed to be good at copying other people's software? [emoji1787]

could double tap to wake be extracted from p30 pro, the way that call recorder was made available from the mate 20 pro? has anyone thought of it yet?
Android 10 installed today on 29. No double tap to wake as well.
Hmm, interesting when or ever even will be video pro mode for Note 10 Plus? I'm interested.

Requires root though. Samsung used to have a pro mode at one point but took it out for whatever reason. No word if they're considering bringing that here.
