Searching right now, they seem to be sold out of both the "mint" and "9/10" LS998 V30+. Yesterday was a VERY good deal.
I paid 247 for the 7-10 condition on the sale day. As long as the screen is not scratched I will be happy.

That's kind of a bad dice roll man, because if the phone was used with a case, the screen is what scratches first.
My buddy just received his.....with the May security patch!!! Back it goes.
Of the two I bought recently my "mint" LS998 V330+ is truly flawless, while my 9/10 LS998 V30+ has a drop ding just north of the volume buttons. Otherwise flawless. With a case (which is necessary with these phones), that ding won't be seen. I must say the seller was honest in grading those two at least.

Does the May security patch prevent the conversion/bootloader unlock? I thought it was the June security patch that has that.

Did you test it to see if the patch really does block us on this?
Even if some of these can't be unlocked I'll bet you can get a better price just reselling it as is.

How can they block the bootloader unlock if you can still flash US998 firmware? Does download mode still work?

Verizon is dominant in my area. I'm tired of getting less than 200 kb/s download speed, when I'm sitting in a Verizon LTE area.

I don't blame you. I am fortunate that T-mobile and At&t work pretty well in my city. Verizon is the best but, at my house the other two carriers work just as good if not better. HSPA+ is very fast in my city. This is why I don't have a issue with going with T-mobile. Sprint was the worse when I tried it.

Yeah, major city (Columbia, SC) and Sprint's 3G never exceeds 300 kb/s. 4G? Forget about it, at least until they get their LTE built, but that may not happen until 2013, and I'm not waiting until then. I may come back if they get LTE and unlimited data in my area, but it doesn't look good as far as the unlimited data goes.
I'm waiting to get the Galaxy Nexus on Verizon for a couple of reasons. One being the current double data promotion and the other being I can get a 19 percent discount through my employer, so I can get 10 gigs of data each month for like 94 bucks a month, or 4 gigs for 74 bucks a month.

I just called verizon and spoke with a rep. he did not even know when. so I asked him this "do you feel it will be out before christmas" and he told me "well I honestly cant tell you for sure because even I am unaware of when the release or pre-orders start for the nexus, but if you haven't seen any ads or much marketing for the Galaxy Nexus then it will probably won't be here until early next year, but again that is only my speculation." So even a Verizon Rep has little faith in his own company.

Article was posted online yesterday that US carriers are not getting green anytime soon.
Gold should be available to order on T-mo in the next week or two.
Remember that if you purchase it at a T-Mobile Corporate Store you won't have to screw around in case you want to return the device. If you order online, you have to ship it back (you pay for shipping) and only then will you receive a credit on your bill...in 2 billing cycles!

if you are a new jump user and put more extra money down it lowers your payment each month. However, if you're a existing jump user the payment stays the same no matter how much you put down the only thing that lowers is the amount of months you'll pay.
I just pre-order mine from Tmobile online and will get the phone on the March 30th. I did pick one day shipping tho...

I order my pixel xl around November 5th~8th (can't remember when exactly) and google told me it would be delivered at around December 15th-19th. Today I got an email that they've already sent it and that it coming till the 22th. I signed for the accidental protection deal cuz I'm not a careful person :S I hope it pays off.

Does anyone have any idea why it takes so long to restock these phones? Why are not cargo ships full of them unloading every day? I would guess some component is in short supply?
And an observation, why did google make a useless 32G model with no expansion slot? If they made a 64G and 128G model there would be a lot less problems. Of course most people would probably buy the 64G model and they would not get to sell the $100 upgrade.

Yes, T-mobile version would work. Various carriers and retailers are listed if you go to that link.
The problem we were worried about was how to "buy" the open market version (from say, B&H) with this promotion since it ends on December 2 and the US998 phone won't be released until December 5. If "pre-order" counts as a purchase, then it might still work.

Sorry to be that guy, but I read the fine print on LG's website and it mentions that if you get your second phone through a buy one get one free promotion it does not count for the $400 rebate.
However, when I purchased my LG V 30 plus and the second one from T-Mobile over the phone last night the representative told me that I should receive two separate transaction receipts so I'm going to go for it and see if I can get the $400 rebate anyway, since hopefully they both will not appear on the same receipt.

Yeah, I'm actually contemplating just buying a $400 TV in case they are to deny my 2nd V30+ purchase. Better safe than sorry. I'd rather lose out by actually gaining a TV, instead of losing out all together.

I am creating this thread out of my ongoing frustration that OEMs like LG HTC and Samsung write custom IMS software for their devices that cant be ported to AOSP roms on them. I've decided to start a bounty to incite developers to write IMS software stack to enable IMS services on the V30 ( and likely other LG devices such as the g5, g6 and V series.) Selfishly, my interest is specifically for the V30 family as I am the new owner of a V30+ and desperately want AOSP goodness on it but I cant compromise the lack of VoLTE and VoWifi.
To win the bounty, I am looking for a developer or developers to create the ability to implement IMS into an AOSP rom and function just like a stock LG ROM would.
Post your pledges in this thread and ill add to this post with your XDA user name and your pledge. If and when the AOSP IMS services are proven to work, the bounty will go to the dev that fixes it. Pledges are made in USD and will sent by Paypal or other means accepted by the dev.

This would definitely help popularity/development of LG V30/V30+ -- which was the BEST phone of 2017. This would take all the custom ROMs to the next level.

Right. I got one for $325 and one for $350. Both LS998 V30+ now converted to US998 of course.
* The $325 one (9/10) has a slight drop ding just north of the volume buttons. On the black V30+ it's not really noticeable naked and with a case you're not going to see it at all. Everything else is flawless.
* On the $350 one, the previous owner customized the back camera with some sort of textured aluminum plate over the glass protector on the dual cameras. It's not ugly and everything works OK, just took me by surprise. But that one is going to my sister and it's otherwise totally flawless.

Well first u need to start with a rom that has known working caf volte support... I guess lg uses caf stuff.

I bought mine last week and it was $325 for the phone + $20 shipping + additional ~$80 for customs. I thought this would be the same amount for the whole Europe (I imported the phone to Poland).
Anyway even with the extra $80 for customs this is still a great deal.
