| Xiaomi Mi5 | can't update since April - LineageOS Questions & Answers

Ok, so I'm new here and I'm having problems updating my Mi5 32Gb to newest nightlies of Lineage OS 15.1
It all started in the beginning of May when I was having trouble with the 07.05 build (my Google account refused to work) and downgraded back to the latest April one. After the new build came out I've decided to update again multiple times but with no success.
Here's a raw piece of log for you guys:

[Q] Nokia_XL update 1.2.3.1 issue

Today I received a notification saying software update available.
So, I tried to update it. But when tried update, a popup saying "Not enough memory for update. Try deleting apps or umping them." was shown.
So, I freed up some memory still I'm getting the popup.
Currently, I have 207 MB free in my phone storage, 237 MB in internal sdcard.
The update size is shown to be 149 MB.
My phone is rooted with Google apps installed and the update is available in India.
Any ideas?
I cant help you but do you have any ideas what the update can bring to the XL?
th only thing i found is the Nokia Store received an update but that's all

So far I have noticed it is a bit more smoother, the pull down notification centre now has a multitasking button. Click that and you can multi-task. Finally!

Hi Taher,
Its for Nokia XL. I will check on my Nokia X in sometime as well. I will take a screen shot soon and upload it either by tonight or by tomorrow. It is very late here in Krakow.

Okay problem solved. I downloaded the update from a pc and i'm gonna mannually flash it.
Anybody on the 1.2.3.1 update, have you rooted successfully ? If yes then which method?

You can get the links from /data/data/com.nokia.update/files/catalog.xml if your phone is rooted
Important:
Make sure the size and SHA-1 hash of your file matches the one given here. I personally had to download it thrice before hitting jackpot. To look for the hash of your file view the properties of the file in ES Explorer and select Show Checksum and then tick SHA-1 and select calculate.
This is very critical if you are gonna are gonna use the System updates app.
Only for Nokia_XL RM-1030 Dual Sim unrooted phone
Steps for installation:
1. Copy both the files in /storage/sdcard/Android/data/com.nokia.update/files/update . Here sdcard refers to your internal sd.
2. Using any task manager kill the System updates process.
3. Then go to Settings->About phone->System updates and select update.
4. It will check the integrity of files and prompt you to restart and update.
Alternative method:
1. Turn off your phone.
2. Boot in the recovery mode by holding Volume up and power button for 15 seconds.
Recovery mode controls: Volume up or down to move and power key to select.
3. Select install update from sdcard(in this case you must copy the update zip files to external sdcard)
4. Browse for your fota system zip file(the larger zip file) and select it.
5. Do the same for the variant zip file(the smaller one) then after the update is done select reboot now.

Don't know about others but this update is for Nokia X 1.1.0.6 and 1.1.1.0 versions.

Use NCS or NavFirm+ to download the stock ROM. Then flash them through NCS or Nokia X Manager.
Then, you can update.

[Q] System Updates on ColorOS with Root andTWRP

I have a rooted Find 7a with TWRP based recovery and tried to install the system updates on Color OS 1.2.4i.

This won't work anyway! You'll have to flash the actual stock recovery, cause these updates are patching and hashing for correct stock recovery! And therefore you'll have to install latest stock recovery or your update won't succeed.

If you use the latest official TWRP recovery you be able to flash oppo firmware. I tested with my x9077 and the latest firmwares, the international and chinese versions.

With the stock recovery the update bar goes about 40 or 50%. So the update fails.
With the latest TWRP i get this:

For additional info: I have rooted the Find 7a with the updated method here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2739102. But newest superSu worked fine for me

I'm assuming it's 2.7.1.2 right? I'm still on 2.7.1.0. Haven't tried 2.7.1.1 either.
Yes i tried 2.7.1.2.
I found a solution that worked for me.
After I backed up my actual phone I have installed per TWRP the full zip thats for download on Oppo News Page about the Find 7.

My Nexus 7 [2013] is not updating to KTU84L from KOT49H. The downloader complains that there is not enough space in /cache. The download is 77MB in size, my cache partition is 35M. I have over 10G of free space in /data and /sdcard. I think the download tool is broken.
damn i actually had the same problem i ended up just using the factory restore straight to the 4.4.4 image but hey the 5.0 image is out today ya can try to flash it to 5.0 the only problem i have is that i dont know how to set up the flash-all script for 5.0 ill post a link how to factory restore it to 4.4.4 if ya need it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2382051 just read through it the post have all the tools u need to dl for it

Trouble Updating to Lollipop

Hi guys!
I'm running a rootd Android KitKat, after unrooting the device and downloading the OTA file and trying to running it through TWRP since I couldnt update it automatically. But I get this error, what am I doing wrong? Kindly help!

Then relock bootloader..

Thanks for your reply but I couldn't understand the 3rd and 4th steps in the first method!
Appears your trying to flash the ota not just the stock recovery..
The goal is to
1 unroot
2 flash stock recovery
3 relock bootloader..
4 reboot..accept..download..and update OTA
or run the RUU.exe program let it convert you back to stock unrooted..
I have he a5-chl .and these were the steps I needed.

System Update fails verification problem, ROM flash fails device unknown?

Try to resurrect my old Nexus 7 2013 32 gigabyte tablet, started by flashing stock ROM. And the stock ROM wants to do a system update from May 2016 but fails with "verification problem". I would prefer you just update the latest custom ROM but no matter which version (15.1, 16.1, 17.1, pixel) I Flash it fails with:
