BetterBatteryStats not working? - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi all,
I´ve downloaded the latest xda version of BBS (2.2.2.0) and even though I´m rooted with magisk and BBS gets SU rights I don´t get anything displayed in the general tab, also I have only the "unplugged" reference", no "since boot" or similar. It just doesn´t seem to run on the whyred with MIUI? Tried to convert to system app but no success, also lastest version should no longer need BBS to be system app...
Any help? The battery info of MIUI is stupid, seems that screen on time for example is always cumulated, not since last full charge... want BBS info back.
Thanks,
K.

Market push to phone not working

I try to install an app from my browser, it sees my phone but keeps saying that
"You have not opened Android Market recently on this device. Please open it and try again"
I have opened up the market on my phone etc.
Anyone else have this issue?
I have this issue also, haven't found a solution yet so for now I have given up trying. It tells me to pick another phone and my registered phone is grayed out. Oh well.
same here. nexus one cm 6.1.1 market 2.2.11.
strange thing is that in settings I can read current date as last use!
I tried it while I was on CM6 and it wouldnt work and then after I flashed MikFroyo it worked... Since I did a full wipe and obviously flashed a new ROM there's no telling what actually made it work but it does... someone a lot more knowledgeable than me will have to figure it out...

[Q] Question to ARHD Users

I am currently using ARHD 6.1.2 but also had this problem with 6.1.1
When I install google+ (the new leaked version)
(I haven't tried the old/current version)
Its causes some Force closes,
mainly with my people process (contacts)
So i can not access my contact, not even when im composing an sms or via any other way!
Has anyone else experienced this problem and has anyone got a solution?
Thanks for any replies!

Yes, there's been quite a bit of discussion about this in the main thread. I haven't tried it myself, but the new G+ app is causing FC for a lot of (all?) users. It may well be a problem with the underlying HTC base software. Only "solution" I've seen is to uninstall it, sorry.
I'd suggest we all wait for Google to release v2.0 officially, that way we would avoid a lot of issues
I get Force Close on superuser, anywhere from 2-10 times a day...whether the phone is judt on main screen with no apps open, but use any rooted apps like system app remover, rom manager etc etc....force close all the time.
pull out battery, go into recovery, fix permissions...sorts it for an hour or so, then starts all over again....aRGHHH!!!

Do you have the Market version of Superuser installed? If you do, check to see if it has updated to 3.0.5, and if so uninstall the upgrade. There's more about this in the main ARHD thread.

[Q] [Q&A][SM-T520] CyanogenMod 11.0 Official Nightlies for the Tab Pro 10.1 Wifi

Hi,
Newbee on this forum, I have installed CM11 for picassowifi, the latest nightly build (cm-11-20141011-NIGHTLY-picassowifi).
First of all, thanks crpalmer for the porting of CM in T520 tab.
I have noticed one bug : when I switched off the tab, it stay locked with the message "Switch off" and the circle widget "switch off in progress". No keys can unlock it. I can't do anything until the battery is empty.
Hope it helps.

Do a factory reset and do not restore any apps, settings, etc. Gradually add back things until you figure out what caused it. Given that I have never seen that message my first two guesses would be some kind of 3rd party lock screen or xposed module.
I have only installed one app : Moon+ Reader Pro (epub reader), from the apk located in my sdcard.
I 've just installed CM when I realized I needed Google kk apps, so I switched off the tab to install them in recovery, when the tab gets locked.
Is it possible the app is responsible for that ?
The battery discharged very quickly : it was significatly hot. It's a pity we can't remove it easily !
Now, the screen is black with some king of luminosity (battery not totally discharged I assume), but I still can't do anything until the tab is totally off.

Just hold the power button down until it reboots.
What gapps did you install?
Before the lock I didn't install the gapps. Now the tab battery is completely discharged so I have just switched on the tab : all seems ok.
To test I have switched off the tab one more time : the tab has switched off ok.
Then I have installed gapps from your mirror ://download.crpalmer.org/downloads/gapps : gapps-kk-20140105.zip (not signed it seems).

BBS (BetterBatteryStats) on Sony M5 - cannot install correctly - please help

Happy Sunday all,
I cannot correctly install BBS (BetterBatteryStats) on Sony M5.
Starting with Android 4.4 (KitKat) Better Battery Stats (BBS) require installation as system app to be able to collect the stats.
BBS must re re-installed as system app after each ROM upgrade (upgrade that does not preserve third party system apps).
However when I click the button in the app to reinstall that way, it fails. The alternative it mentions is to install via recovery, but we do not have a customer recovery on M5 yet.
Any other suggestions please?

thread can be deleted (i cannot see option). The problem has gone away, it might be that you need busybox installed and running.

The strangest thing just happened...

I checked BetterBatteryStats to see how well my phone is sleeping (something I check every day). But for some reason I couldn't check Kernel Wakelocks. I just an error message saying the file couldn't be read. I tried using RootExplorer and Titanium Backup but both apps complained they couldn't get root. So I tried to load the SuperSU app and it tells me it couldn't find the SU binary? By now I'm thinking WTH? I didn't install any new apps, I didn't flash any ROMS or apps. I have an H811 and there has been no T-Mobile OTA that I know about. Somehow, overnight, I just lost root! Very strange.
Anyway I just manually booted into TWRP recovery and flashed SuperSU to regain root. I'm still mystified about what happened. Has this happened to anyone else?
