Clicking Sound during Calls

During phone calls I hear semi-loud clicking sounds, doesn't matter if call received or sent, as well as different numbers.
This is very frustrating. The clicks occur at random times, with no set pattern, and varies in number.
Running WM6 standard. Phone is only a couple months old. Thanks for any help.
Its a network issue, I am getting it too on two different phones. There was a thread about this a few weeks back.
I read that thread and do not think it's the same problem. I wouldn't describe my issue as a crackling sound, or the other person breaking up, or staticky.
It is more of a sudden click.
It also does not matter whether I increase/decrease the volume or not, as the other thread mentions.
As far as it being a network issue, I never had this problem with previous phones--the latest being 2 months ago.
are you in the chicago area?
No, plus people I know in my area who use Tmo don't have this problem.
It sounds as though my phone is being tapped!!

Click to collapse
you sure its not that stupid jogger thing turning up and down the volume..
if you have the in call sounds cranked up, it clicks.
I'm fairly certain it is not.. Because I would hear them with different volume levels, as well as speakerphone.
Is it possible it's a hardware or firmware issue? For instance, maybe the phone is defective and I just need to get a new one. It was never dropped or anything to cause damage.
As far as software, I have Vito Audio Notes and 2 way recording installed, but I hear the clicks even when I don't record anything or have the program running. Is it possible that the software may have interfered with the audio of the phone??

Audio Bugs After a Call

Hi All,
I have my Galaxy Nexus about a week now, so far I am quite happy with it. It's my 1st Android. It's a GSM one.
I have noticed an odd issue, and am wondering if others could test and see if they are getting it, on either GSM or 4G.
On to the issue.
It can happen in two different ways with the same outcome.
The first way it happens:
I receive a phone call. I answer the call as normal. I immediately hear the other party on the call for a split second, then a split second later I hear my ringtone through the earpiece for a split second. Then the call will carry on as normal.
Once the call has been finished, I will then notice a delay in certain sounds. E.g. I will try dial another number on the Dialpad, and the tones will be delayed by several seconds or just don't play. And when I hit buttons on the screen, e.g. recent apps, The usual click is delayed by a couple of seconds and is followed by a second click.
If I open the Music app or the YouTube app and play music/video, both audio and video play fine, but when I hit pause on either it will pause then play for a split second again, then pause and stay paused.
Sometimes if I receive another call afterwards; my ringtone will, instead of playing from the start, play from where it was when I answered my last call.
The second way it happens is if I call someone. When I press the hang up button, I will hear a tone in the earpiece, followed by the same tone through the speaker. I will then have all the weird audio bugs as above.
Restarting the phone resolves the post call issues, of course until I receive another call.
As I said, I am wondering if anybody else is experiencing this? It is a little bit odd, to say the least.
So I had a brain wave.
I went through all my apps and did a force stop on every one that was a downloaded non stock app.
I tried the steps above to reproduce the issue and I couldn't.
So It seems that an app I have installed is causing the issue.
Now to find out which one.
I will report back when I do.
And the culprit is Air PlayIt.
I will continue testing other apps just in case.

[Q] Strange problem with call audio... silent speaker

Hi guys, hope you can help with an odd problem...
Very, very occasionally (maybe 1 in 50 calls) I get an issue where I can't hear the other party, as if the earpiece was dead. If I drop the call and re-dial, 99% of the time everything is fine. (I think I had one time in 6 months where the 2nd call did the same.)
Now, I can't decide if this is a network issue (Vodafone) or a phone issue. I mostly use a Bluetooth headset due to the size of the Note but I doubt it's headset related as I have tried two different high end brands and it happens with either.
Things I have noticed:
Problem applies to incoming AND outgoing calls
I have checked I haven't accidently muted the call
My Bluetooth headsets all chime at the start of a call but there is no call audio
The other party can hear me but I can't hear them
System sounds are all fine, only call audio is affected
Switching between headset, phone and speaker phone make no difference
Applies to all incoming call audio, including ringing tones and busy tones
I reboot my phone sometimes but as the issue is rare I couldn't say if it makes a difference. Also this is a standard Note II (not a branded Vodafone one) with all the latest patches downloaded. Looking through my app downloads I can't see any obvious ones that might affect the phone. Apart from the stock Samsung apps I most connect to CCTV systems. I have CSipSimple but I haven't used it in ages.
Any suggestions on how to investigate this further?
Regards,
Andy
Seriously... no ideas?
So, no one's ever had this problem and no one has any ideas?!
:crying:

Voice Calls sometimes get garbled and distorted?

Even when I have full signal and LTE I'll sometimes hear the other people on the line sound so garbled fading in and out that I miss a couple words here and there. Anyone else ever experience this intermittently? I've had it happen four times the past two days
yes im having that problem too every time i receive a call, they say i sound like robot, but when i call back is not, i disable wifi calling but not solve that

Consistent microphone cut-off part way through phone calls

I have a weird and annoying issue with my 10 (stock 7.0, 2.51.531.32):
During every phone call, after ~1 minute, my microphone seems to cut out for perhaps 10 seconds (as reported by the person at the other end). After that, it works normally again. I just installed "automatic call recorder" so I can start to pin down these numbers precisely.
The microphone(s) pass the HTC hardware tests, and when I use "Voice Recorder" in voice notes mode, it will record for many minutes without any issues. In addition, I don't think this ever happens when I use a Bluetooth headset for calls.
Any suggestions?
