Flash these if you want a smaller LTE Data Icon. I also have one for removing it completely. These will also be in my next updated Aroma installers.

Hey Tulsa! I've brought a Pixel (normal one, 1st gen) Your mods work great on 2XL!
Now Aroma works perfect, but I, same as you hate how big does the icon look. I however don't have a LTE icon I have a 4G icon.. And when I flash smaller LTE I get the bootloop.. When I try to install it with magisk.. it trows me the same error as the guy who posted before.. any help?
Thank you for your hard work!

I have Android 2.2 rooted Desire. Just removed some system apps using this guide
I think nothing serious or critical?
Code:
adb-windows shell mv /system/app/Stock.odex /sdcard/device_files
adb-windows shell mv /system/app/Facebook.apk /sdcard/device_files
adb-windows shell mv /system/app/teeter.apk /sdcard/device_files
adb-windows shell mv /system/app/teeter.odex /sdcard/device_files
adb-windows shell mv /system/app/HtcFacebook.apk /sdcard/device_files
adb-windows shell mv /system/app/HtcFacebook.odex /sdcard/device_files
adb-windows shell mv /system/app/HtcFootprints.apk /sdcard/device_files
adb-windows shell mv /system/app/HtcFootprints.odex /sdcard/device_files
adb-windows shell mv /system/app/HtcFootprintsWidget.apk /sdcard/device_files
but my phone doesn't boot now, it stucks on HTC logo.. What may be wrong and how to fix it? Maybe I shouldn't have to removed facebook app? Just by the stopid error i have moved those apps to non existent folder, so I can't restore them too..
Any ideas how to fix it would be appreciated.
or maybe I have to exit recovery or something? Because I just did the moving stuff.. then run the recovery-windows.bat (from rooting kit) again and just clicked restart on the phone. And it doesn't pass HTC logo now. :/

On the assumption that you can still move the files back to the device, why don't you just download a standard ROM (there are many available on the Android Development forum), then extract the apk's & odex's that you have deleted and just push them back and restart the device.
thanks, ill try to download my rom again and extract it with zip. I'm using this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=741775
Facebook.apk Attached
I have extracted and attached the copy of Facebook.apk from my phone. This should get your phone running at the very least. After that you could just go with downloading one custom rom and extracting the rest of the files you need.
restored all apps back, but that didn't help
Downloaded http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=741775 copied apps content to device_files on SD card, then booted my phone into recovery
C:\Users\Originalas>cd C:\android-sdk\pushfiles
C:\android-sdk\pushfiles>adb-windows shell mount /system
adb server is out of date. killing...
* daemon started successfully *
C:\android-sdk\pushfiles>adb-windows shell mount /sdcard
C:\android-sdk\pushfiles>adb-windows shell mv /sdcard/device_files/* /system/app

still same HTC logo after reboot..
just flash a new rom, and in future remember that if your going to remove a .odex file you need to remove the corresponding .apk too
yep, had to flash, to get it working again. Though not a big deal, all settings and apps left the same without a wipe.
Could you tell me which RUU you used pleased, I am stuck on that screen, and have OTA 2.2. many thanks
first time I saw this way is here and the original thread was here.
This mod will replace your current "flat" KitKat emoji with Apple emoji. Here is the instruction by angelsel :
(remember to backup your current fallback_fonts.xml before do this.)
1. Grab AppleColorEmoji.ttf and place it into /system/fonts/
2. Set /system/fonts/AppleColorEmoji.ttf to have permissions 644 (rw-r--r--) and owner:group root:root.
3. Modify /system/etc/fallback_fonts.xml like so:
find :
Code:
<family>
<fileset>
<file>AndroidEmoji.ttf</file>
</fileset>
</family>
screenshot

}
Above this block, add
Code:
<family>
<fileset>
<file>AppleColorEmoji.ttf</file>
</fileset>
</family>
screenshot
4. Set /system/etc/fallback_fonts.xml to have permissions 644 (rw-r--r--) and owner:group root:root.
5. Reboot.
if you enjoy it, give Thanks to angelsel for the instruction here at his own original thread [MOD] Apple Color Emoji system-wide for KitKat
screenshot (sorry if large )
i download the ttf file and push into system/font
then i rename "AndroidEmoji.ttf" to "AndroidEmojiOLD.ttf"
and "AppleColorEmoji.ttf" to "AndroidEmoji.ttf" and set to rw-r-r and reboot.
and it changed without edit the fallback_fonts.xml

really? thanks for the info
and if anyone have installed keyboard that make by Shaftamle, you must rename the "AppleColorEmoji.ttf" to "NotoColorEmoji.ttf"
and the original "NotoColorEmoji.ttf" rename to "NotoColorEmoji.bak" just in case you want to use old emoji back.
set permission to rw-r-r and reboot. :good:
Why would I double copy the thread...?
I've already did the flashable zips of Apple and Samsung emojis here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2737653
Moreover there's app that does all that process easily here:
http://www.xda-developers.com/?p=97319

I think that if you only want iPhone emojis, you can avoid installing a nearly 50mb app for LG and S4 emoji sets that you probably will never use...

well I tried asking @wanam quite a few times, but could not get a reply
I will try speaking with @ktoonsez and @wanam
Download the file below from my github @ https://github.com/ktoonsez/KTSGS5
1. mkbootfs (place in root folder of your kernel source)
Then execute these after zImage is made
Change the text "YOUR_RAMDISK_FOLDER" and "YOUR_PACKAGE_FOLDER" to proper folders.
cp arch/arm/boot/zImage YOUR_PACKAGE_FOLDER/zImage
./mkbootfs YOUR_RAMDISK_FOLDER | gzip > YOUR_PACKAGE_FOLDER/ramdisk.gz
tools/dtbTool -o arch/arm/boot/dt.img -s 2048 -p scripts/dtc/ arch/arm/boot/
chmod a+r arch/arm/boot/dt.img

I have to say Ktoonez, I love your work, but where do you start building kernels for android?, ive been meaning to compile one for my NVidia shield for everyone to use, but I don't know where to start, also all the whole thread is dead in terms of development which is sad.

Are u wipe your old data and system and cache and dalvik cache ? before install new rom
So i accidentaly deleted OS from my phone.I thought "Nothing special,ill install new rom".But big mistake.First i tried to find stock one,and i found RUU on HTC site,but when i tried to install it,RUU say "Wersion missmatch,please download correction wersion of program".I thout,maybe some mistake and i tried one more,but same thing.Then i downloaded boot.img and system.img that Android Samurai provided,but no luck.I flashed it with TWRP and it say Succes but when i try to power it on,then it goes to boot loop and i need to hard reset it.Then i tried custom rom (SlimDesire v1.1),and at first,i thout maybe it will work.I started installing it (formatting system, Dalvik / Art cache,cache and data before that).And everything was good until it comed to 90% and it said Creating symbolic links-symlink:some symlinks failed , and it stops at 93% and say Installation Succesful.I wasnt sure if it was good or bad,so i tried booting up the phone,but same thing(bootloop).And now i dont know what to do.Also i tried unmounting the system but same thing(symlink failed).
(ADB and fastboot work but adb sideload dont)

Also i have log from SlimDesire rom:XDA wont let me post link so ill copy paste it here.(I must short it down a lot)
