This is correct.
The secondary camera is relatively useless, unfortunately.
Hence they changed the way it functions on the OP6.
What? So confused. Poor English.

OP5? Or OP5T.. ? OP5 have Telephoto lense in secondary camera... Thats working as it is.
Or if u mean OP5T then second lense is using for Potrait Depth sense. Sometimes helps for low light photos.
See attached photo

We are here in the 5T forum topic, so no reason to be confused. We are talking 5T here!
On topic : The 2nd camera is meant to assist in low light conditions

I've been looking all around the web, no mention of them at all, they are probably sony lenses
No ,if place sony sensors they will definitely mentioned for device sales.it helps to rage the sales.
Well, huawei/honor doesn't have a camera division, so that's why I thought of Sony. However, it's actually weird that they didn't mention the sensor's name

As far as the quality goes , they should have mentioned it ,one thing for sure, unlike OnePlus they don't make noise and create unnecessary hype

Hi, I've been using the H8pro for quite few days now. I bought the phone for its camera capability. Though it takes excellent photos in regular conditions, I'm depressed to see the results in low light which equals the quality of a 3mp Nokia's cameras of yesteryear's. Any advice on how to use camera in low light. My Nikon d300s is too heavy to carry around hence this was a easy substitute but leave aside the low light capability

Auto focus is never recommended. Even in dslrs. I wish some update came up for enhancing camera

Maybe capturing raw image (pro mode) will help. That way you can edit them later.

That wouldn't help if the subject motion blur is present.
It is simply because the lack of OIS

More than the low light, I feel they should improve the daylight performance of the camera.
In daylight, the dynamic range and color balance is great but I feel the images aren't as sharpened as I would like them to be.

That's personal opinion and it will differ.
But there can never be a situation where one can't improve something and so I feel they can improve the camera through software a bit more.

Ha? Where u seen that? In my knowledge OP6 does not have front portrait option. They promise an update later..
They will say it the 5t's hardware is incompatible. Then they'll after many requests if will be in an update. Watch.
Like they did with face unlock with the 3/t
Use Instagram camera op5t supports its focus feature or u can say portrait mode for front camera

Hello
unoffical GCam works wonders. I feel it's on par with the Google Pixel 2, or maybe better due to 16MP sensor.

Hi guys,
weird question I guess: How do I know my cam is working as intendend?
Tried the CRDroid-ROM, worked great, then I noticed my Cam (Gcam-mod) only does 12,5MP-shots in every mode at max.
Thought it was the ROM, now back to a wiped clean Factory February-image from Google. Yet exactly the same but with way less options.
Still only 12,5MP and compared to my other phones it's not even better. Considering I bought the P6P mainly because of the camera it's a bit of a let-down.
I thought it was 50, 48 and 12,5MP.
Am I too dumb to see my error here or what's up with it?
Thanks for your time.
The camera converts all shots to 12.5 mp. Samsungs does this too. Its false marketing.

Ah! So it does have the physical resolution it marketed but uses that as an antialiasing-kinda-thingie for downsampling? So I'm questioning my sanity for nothing and it's all fine? DAMN

This actually is false.
You have an option in the camera settings of the Samsung S21 ultra that allows you to take 108mp shots. Full res. They're huge files. But they're awesome when you need all the detail in great lighting. I was SEVERELY DISAPPOINTED that there is NO OPTION to change the Pixel 6 Pro to 50MP. In my book it's still a 12mp camera, which really SUCKS when wanted the bigger picture...
Ok didn't know
