oneplus 3 after note 7

All,
So my Note 7 has gone back and i now have a oneplus 3.
I am currently on stock Oneplus Fw 3.2.7.
There are a couple of things i don't like - the contacts and phone dialler screens are bloody awful - especially the contacts WTF.
With Samsung there is so much more detail on these screens and it is useful. Also there is no call or message blocking which again I use.
What 3rd party ROM would offer these features rather than loading App's

I did the same thing, moving from note 7 to Oneplus 3. Flashed resurrection remix on the first day and haven't looked back. It's got call blocking and a bunch of other nice features that the Note 7 didn't.

They're both Samsung AMOLED screens but the note 7 screen is QHD while the OnePlus 3 is 1080p (mostly noticeably side by side or if using VR).
Also, Samsung tends to keep the brightest AMOLED displays for themselves so the note 7 likely has a much higher top max brightness level.

Screen is not comparable in my opinion...Used Note 4, 5, 7 and currently OP 3...Note 5 and Note 7 screens are way better...Auto brightness in OP 3 is little cranky and makes it dull...but performance and dev support of OP 3 is amazing...eagerly waiting for Note 8 which is an year away

The Oneplus 3 screen is good, not as good as the Note 7, but that's to be expected really.

Me too.. I have moved on from my note 7 and now using oneplus 3.. The thing I dun like is why the ringtones and notifications sound are link together.. Is the anyway that I can unlink it? I heard xposed unlink ringtones and notification sound is not working for oneplus 3.. I'm currently using firmware 3.27...

Some custom ROMs like Resurrection Remix I guess has this setting...

Flashed resurrection remix as soon as I got it. I don't think I'd like it nearly as much if I couldn't run some variant of Cyanogenmod on it.

I am using the True phone dialer which is pretty customizable and UI is friendly as well. Just 1 point is that the app is only free for first 7 days....

Isn't the google dialler available for download? I picked up the apk from somewhere a couple of months ago. Doesn't this identify the caller/spam?

Can non-Asus phone use ZenFlash or ZenFlash S? like Samsung, LG, iphone

I want to buy one. As I know it is light triggered. So, theoretically, any LED light with enough power should be able to use it. Anyone try it before? I am not using a Asus phone.

I have one. But it only works on Zenfone 2 series(2/deluxe). I tried it on Xiaomi and Samsung and it doesn't work. Even on Zenfone 3, Selfie or Zoom also doesn't work.

Any idea of the 5z will be available in white?

It seems the higher teirs of zenfones don't come in white. Any idea if thats the case doe the 5z?

Is the Mi Max 3's picture quality as bad as it looks online?

I've watched almost every Mi Max 3 video on Youtube but I always noticed that the Mi Max 3 display looks really dull, colours don't pop, blacks aren't very deep.
I know this is an IPS panel, not AMOLED/OLED but what concerned me is this video . As I am coming from an iPhone 7 plus that has an IPS panel, I want the display quality to at least be somewhat equal if i'm "upgrading", I know the specs won't be better than iPhone 7 plus but I really really want a bigger screen for media consumption.
I know this video is comparing the Mi Max 2 and iPhone 7 plus but I can't find any direct comparison on the Mi Max 3. Is the Mi Max 3's display significantly better than Mi Max 2 and is it comparable to the iPhone 7 plus display?
Can anyone who have an iPhone and Mi Max 3 show comparison photos between both phones picture quality if possible? :fingers-crossed:
PS: Also are there any display issues with this Mi Max 3? Such as the "Blue Shift" when viewing off-angle?

Edit: Seriously though, the display is just fine.
I came from a Mi Mix 2 and even had a OnePlus 3 for some time and have nothing to complain about.

Agreed, I came from a Samsung Note 8, and it's nearly as good.

I'm also coming from a Samsung Note 8 & Note 9, and am finding that I prefer the Max 3. The picture quality and screen clarity is almost as good as both Note's. Am actually going to be returning my Note 9 and keeping my Note 8 as a back up phone. Hope that helps.

That's awesome to know because my friend has a Note 8 and that phone has an amazing display.
Do you guys notice any "blue shift" when viewing at an angle? How is the "blue shift" when compared to the Note 8?

Also I noticed you used to own a Huawei P8Max. I actually used to own a P8 Max 2 years ago but unfortunately water damaged it while I was holidays. :crying:
Could you please let me know how is the display/picture quality of the Mi Max 3 compared to the P8 Max? Is it much better?

Don't see any blueshift in mine. Can't remember that well on my Note 8.

Question Xiaomi pad 5 official keyboard

Hello everybody,
I would like to ask whether this is the official xiaomi product for mi pad 5 and if anybody has bought it, i would appreciate it if he could give us his opinion about it.

Xiaomi Pad 5 does not have an official keyboard cover, only the pro model have one.
The one from the link looks as the one provided with the Pad5 PRO, but in the details area are only two images, i cannot say if is compatible or not, please note the side pogo pins which power the keyboard, the provided mages does not show them on the keyboard.

from what i know the official keyboard case is compatible with all Mi Pad 5 versions. I'm using the most basic Mi Pad 5 with the official keyboard, the 1 you linked.
this reviewer also uses Mi Pad 5 with keyboard.

I really like it. Sometimes I wish I had more opportunities to use it. The key travels are ok IMHO. Build quality is good. It does feel snug with the tablet inside.

I might give it a try... I'd be able to replace my laptop most of the times.

I have a keyboard for my tablet (no pro), it works just fine.

Ohh... Yes. That was because I wanted to play infinity blade which was only available on ios. But so i stopped playing games altogether.
