Alarm notification - Samsung Galaxy S9 Questions & Answers

Hi
I know i've heard other people having this issue on S8 but not sure about S9/9+
but out of the blue - since yesterday - im getting a persistent alarm notifcation - even tho there is no alarm setup
is basically the little clock in the upper bar next to the time/wifi/network
that normally shows up when an alarm is setup and active - but i dont have any
i restarted the phone - and it disappeared for a few hours - but then it showed up again and it seems the only way to get rid of it (temporarily) is to reboot the phone
any idea what's going on and how i can fix it?
thanks guys

[Q] Alarm Clock Notification Bug?

Do you guys often find that the alarm notification icon sometimes disappears for no reason?
Yeah, mine comes on and goes off for no apparent reason. Have looked at all the setting but have not found a solution. Not a deal breaker though since there are so many other alarm apps on the market, although it would be good to get the stock on working reliably.
no issue with mine. i purchased mine 8 days ago and i use the alarm every day with no issues so far. i am running the bell rom and am rooted
This happens with mine as well, but no issue of the alarm not coming on at the correct time.
this happens to me too!! i've my morning alarm set for 7am all weekdays. however, whenever i turn off the phone, or after an one-week cycle, the notification icon would disappear.
Although it still indicates that the alarms are "on" when i look at all alarms within the Clock app, i just get paranoid that i wont go off the next day (since the notification icon disappears and the lock screen does not indicate an alarm is active).
does anyone know a fix to this?? please help!

[Q] Alarmtime not corretly disappering if disabled

Got a little Problem. I added a show alarm function to my widget.
it simply shows a alarm icon and the time and those are set as following:
alarm icon(bitmap): [ox]$#SASET#=0?1000$[/ox]
the textmodule: $#SASET#>0?#SALARM#$
the problem is they disapper - but only after my phone was in the lockscreen once and not instantly when i disable the alarm.
Same happens if u enable a alarm - it shows up the first time after the phone was in the lockscreen.
is there any way to make this work perfectly?

[Q] Alarm clock icon in notification area disappearing

Hello,
The Alarm Icon in the notification area keeps disappering, specifically it never remains in the notification are after a reboot.
The alarms themselves do work and do go off at the given time, but the icon isnt showing.
After a fresh reboot the icon appears briefly when the system is loading, but disappears once system fully loaded
any advice on how to remedy this is appreciated
PS: google search led me to two alleged solution of which NONE worked for me. One suggested to clear data for the clock app. The other suggested that this issue is related to the Pandora app messing things up (I have never installed such app)...

Persistent Alarm Icon

I just got my XL and I had a rogue Android Auto icon in my notification bar. I restarted my phone and it went away, but then an alarm icon appeared that was set for 4:34pm the next day (Friday). I checked the Clock app and verified no alarm was set. I tried setting and deleting an alarm, no luck. I then let it hit the set time. The alarm did not sound, but the icon remained, and is now set for 2:11pm today. Restarting did nothing. I thought I saw this bug in Oreo with my 6T. Anyone have any way to get rid of this alarm icon? I don't think I have any other apps that set alarms. Thank you.
Try deleting all data in clock app
And Auto...
Sorry for the delay. After the 2:11pm alarm passed, it went away. It was weird. Thanks for the suggestions.

Lingering alarm badge in status bar

Hi everyone! I love this phone, a bit buggy tho. Even though I've disabled and deleted all alarms from my clock app, the alarm icon won't disappear from my status bar, even after restarting. First time I've seen this in years of android. Any thoughts?
Update: It was my Bose sleep buds app, which is also a little buggy, had to force stop it. My last phone hid the notification, I now know Bose uses a system alarm.
