Wondering the same thing. But usually the led/cam/speaker are arranged differently on different phones.

I recently dropped my Nexus 7 and the screen cracked. The touch is also almost unusable (all glitchy).
I have the tools needed to replace the screen, and I have done it on a few smartphones in the past. My question is : what is the difference on eBay between 90$ screens from the US vs 39$ screens from Hong Kong? Is it the same screen, but just cheaper in HK because it's from the supplier directly (or almost)?

Hard to say, generally you get what you pay for, I have read about people who paid for ones from cheaper venues and they turn out to be either for the older N7, or are just right out fake, at least with ebay you have some protection. YMMV.
The cheap ones from oversea at least for the cell phones I have bought are super thin and break really easy. As mdamaged said u get what you pay for def applies to replacement digitizers!

I recently picked up a oneplus one with a deadspot on the touchscreen for 130 dollars and am looking for a replacement screen. There are many ranging from 50- 100 on ebay, aliexpress, amazon, etc, and I am unsure of which seller I can trust; some lack the capacitive buttons, have touchscreen issues, and so on. Can anyone who has replaced their screen with good results provide a link from which they bought theirs. My budget is anything under 60 and ideally it should ship from the us. Thanks.
I just bought 2 screens. One was from China and showed up with a dead spot in the screen. The other was from seller tradestar55 for $70 and the screen is perfect also its a US seller. Highly recommend avoiding the China crap and spending $20 more for something in the US. Go with tradestar55.

I've bought 3 or 4 from China. They're good where the vendor is reputable. Look at the number of units sold and the ratings. They're around 45USD. Removing the assembly from the frame is doable, but replacing just the digitizer is NOT recommended, as I've tried at least 5 of them from various sellers and none worked properly. Plus the digitizer touches the LCD at several points and without LOCA, would create rainbow spots, which would not affect functionality, but esthetically undesirable. There are guides on how to go this is you Goog. Have fun.
I replaced 2 screens on 2 N7, yes, buy the LCD+digitizer+screen combo. Even then, removing the broken screen from the frame is difficult, the melting point of the glue is very high and on both N7 I melted a little bit the frame...

One had a dead pixel after a few days and is kind "yellowish", the other one is as OEM and has better color/white balance, so YMMV.

Doesn't look bad, but I'm not a fan of protectors that don't adhere to the screen (this adheres to the top and bottom). Causes the rainbow effect, and doesn't feel as good to me. Personal preference, but for now I'll stick to the pre-applied plastic one.
I have seen few recent comments on wanting to buy the power and volume buttons and i thought i would link this link here since i happened to buy them recently,
I still have not got them but i get almost all my orders from aliexpress and they seem to be legit and CHEAP!

Is there a difference in size for volume buttons on global vs chinese version of OnePlus One?
I bought from Taobao before (owned by same parent company as Aliexpress: Alibaba), and I got a shorter version which cannot fit for my OPO. And it has a silver stripe, similar as in the Aliexpress listing.

I dont know but i dont think there will be any difference because the more variants they make the more it costs for oneplus company, so i think they will stick to using one type, but i seriously dont know .

there only one size and one size fit them all including global and chinese version (sandstone and white back cover) and bamboo edition...if you button you bought is smaller then original then you have bought a fake one....even OEM's button is the same as original....
