Looking for advice on a glass screen protector that will work with the Otterbox Defender case. I'm assuming one of the flat ones over the curved.
Thanks

We just got an Otterbox Defender for my husband's Galaxy S7. It has a Zagg screen protector.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I am using the OtterBox Defender with the Whitestone Dome and they seem to be playing just fine. There is plenty of clearance between the case and the screen protector. Using the active Edge doesn't seem to be a problem either.

Does anyone happen to know if the s3 fully wrapped in the invisible shield would fit into the otterbox defender or the incipio cases?
I have the Zagg HD covering the front of my screen inside an otterbox commuter and it works perfectly.
it should fit no problems

Sweet, thanks for the quick replies, has anyone tried out the defender case yet?
I've had a full body Zagg on a bodyglove and a candyshell with no issues at all.
Dude, how rough are you on phones!?
That is serious overkill
The zagg product is outstanding... the otter product is outstanding (and one of my all time favorite cases btw)... but both???????? :cyclops:

The zagg doesnt have any impact protection and the otterbox (commuter) doesnt cover the screen.
I think its far from overkill... Its a good idea.

Is otterbox the best case maker??
Inopportune I bevieve its a bit of a toss up between otterbox and trident...I currently have a otterbox commuter glacier on my s3...but have had a Trident kraken on a previous phone ...the otterbox I have now is nice I like it alot and doesn't add much thickness the kraken I had was a brick but I liked it both offer good protection

I use the defender and don't like the commuter because the power button and volume button hard to press

I agree with you on the buttons being alil stiff...but I got my case a few days ago but if you work with it some they do loosen up some

Define "Best" there are MANY different "BEST" cases out there... check out my review of Otterbox Defender in Atomic color. I love it, but some might hate it.
I get a lot of compliments from people about the funky color...
Honestly, if you're looking for a case that can offer a great protection from almost everything but water... look no further. Otterbox has been manufacturing quality and very well designed cases for many years. Also, if you get it from amazon, you save about $20. just my two cents!
Like someone else said, "best" is cometely objective. My best may not be your best.... However, I prefer the Ballistic SG Maxx. If you search the accessories forum you'll find a mini review i did with some pics.

Just pulled my screen out of my defender. Much better now Did the same thing with my HTC ONE X defender. The screen washes everything out.

Who needs a screen protector.... never had one on my Samsung Epic 4G, don't plan on putting one on my SG3. The feeling in the naked screen is to nice to put something over it.

Thats a bold statement... I want to be safe than sorry
I was thinking about going naked all the way, but i think this phone is too nice for that. also, the cases are sexy too!

It's bold yes, but I don't think screen protectors are necessary. Cases yes. But a screen protector won't stop your screen from cracking or shattering if dropped, it'll help stop scratches. But gorilla glass is design to resist most scratches already.
My over 2 year old epic's screen still looks brand new. Even after drops and kicks...Just my personal opinion.
Kinda glad the trident kraken doesn't come with a built in one.

People who say the built in screen protector pops out i think have another protector on under it. Me and my gf both have the defender but had ivisor screen guards on the phone also. The screen popped up off the screen bc the case was designed for the phone with no accessories. We took the screen guards off and the case fits PERFECT

Why no mention of Seidio cases? I have been using their cases for my last few phones and they are great. My GS3 case has a magnetic metal kickstand and looks nice. It also feels well protected. I don't use a screen protector though as I also prefer naked. Personally, I think screen protectors offer a false sense of security on modern gorilla glass screens.

I have been researching on here and have read that some of the tempered glass screen protector don't place nice with the official bumper case.
For those who use the official bumper case with tempered glass screen protector. Which are you using and why?

Before my official bumper started to look like crap and me throwing it away I used Spigen's glass with no issues with the official bumper.

I am also in the same boat as the OP. I have the nexus bumper case and have concerns about the lip of the bumper lifting up the screen protecter. After spending £25 i am hesitant in investing more money on a second case
Well the note 3 has now been out for some time! What screen protector do you guys use if any, how do you like it? Also do you run into sensitivity issues or issues with the stylus?
I have an Otterbox and have gotten along fine, though the plastic one included makes the screen clarity worse!

Hmm interest zagg website seems to do a great marketing job... of all I've looked at this one seems to interest me.
Does the stylus leave any marks? How bad are bubbles when applying it?

No marks at all. Even fingerprints are rare unless I have greasy fingers, but wipes clean extremely easily. It's made of tempered glass, so I won't expect marking by the stylus.
Bubbles? I got a few when I first paved it on the phone, but they pressed out very easily. No bubbles at all on the screen, crystal clear.
I picked it up at best buy.

8$ random tempered glass from ebay, it's outlasted a 40$ mime and looks flawless after four months
I've used the iLoome 9h tempered glass with an Otterbox Defender since I got the phone in November, and I couldn't be happier. No bubbles, no scratches, rarely even any fingerprints. Most people don't even think I have a screen protector on until I tell them...

Anything tempered glass is the way to be. It is far superior to the standard screen protector is quality and feel and also visibility. Grab the off brands anywhere online, or unusually just go to Verizon store, and grab one, like 15 bucks for one, and they last for a super long time while retaining their new appearance.
I've used iSmooth on my last few phones. They cost a few bucks more but have lifetime warranty, which I've used and gotten replacements pretty quick. Come 3 to a pack so even if you screw up on the first one you've got 2 more, contact CS whenever you need more. Anything that doesn't use a stylus I use extremeguard. They do 90% of sales quite often and thats when I stock up. Good deal.
I'm posting this here because the accessories section keeps crashing. What's the best options out there?

Spigen without a doubt. Love their cases.

Otterbox is my usual, but with this phone I'm getting Urban Armor.
Spigen cases are nice but they don't seem to be as well built as Incipio cases. The spigen tpu case for the Edge+ fits loose and is really flimsy while the Incipio tpu case is much more rigid and snug. Incipio gets my vote in terms of quality. I've also seen a few full coverage curved tempered glass screen protectors on ebay!

Well the slim armor case is a two part case. I was referring to the all tpu version. Not saying Spigen cases aren't good I just think Incipio cases are built a little better....
