Hello, I am trying to unlock the bootloader of xiaomi redmi 5a without needing the permission of xiaomi I already have the permission but I am not able to unlock the bootloader is mandanod wait 360 hours and when it passes the 360 hours has to wait again and from there it repeats
well man im afraid that this is our new issue with xiaomi phones, they said me to wait 360 hours to unlock it...it sucks alot...hope someone do something to allow us to unlock it faster

I have just bought New Xiaomi Mi Max Prime. I wanted to root but I went through a lot of trouble.
1) I can't root without TWRP
2) I can't install TWRP without unlocking bootloader
3)I can't unlock bootloader without contacting Xiaomi !
note that I don't want to change the ROM or do anything. I just want to simply root my device so I can use some features and Titanium backup to restore my apps from my Samsung Note 4.
can anyone kindly help me with an easy working way of rooting this device because I spent almost a full day looking for an answer trying every possible solution on the web but without luck !

You should unlock your phone first after getting permissions from xiaomi. Apply to unlock and it shouldn't take a long time to approve it

Than you need the Unlock Tool BUT you must wait 72 Hours before you can unlock your Mi Max...
I have the same **** here > Unlock Tool says > 53 Hours to wait...

I am on MIUI 10 8.7.5, I was trying to unlock redmi note 5 pro bootloader, but I failed. I tried all possible ways but it shows "try after 360hrs", I also used 2 account technique but it was not successful. If any one knows the possible way to unlock bootloader, please share.
Can I unofficially unlock bootloader? Is there any other ways to unlock?
You should search with Google or look at other threads here on XDA before posting this. You have to wait 360 hours.
I had the same problem. You will have to wait 360 hrs. There is currently no workaround to this. Avoid trying to use the 2 account method as users have reported the 360 hr timer being reset as soon as accounts are switched.

Most problems on unlocking bootloader of xiaomi devices are because the users don't want to wait 360hours after binding account on the developer options, and then try whatever they found on internet to speed up the process, or they follow outdated tutorials.
As I want to root my phone, it's need to be unlock bootloader. I followed the rule of unlocking boot loader. When I tried to mi unlock my device by computer, Its noticed me that " couldn't unlock. Please unlock 168 hours later. And do not add your account in MI again, otherwise you will wait from scratch.''
My question will come from notice,
1. Have any way to unlock the device before 168 hours?
2. Can I I unlock my device by the same MI account ( And do not add your account in MI again, otherwise you will wait from scratch.) ?

1. No, when you unlock bootloader for the first time on a device you have to wait for 7 days, especially when the device is new in the market
2.yes
3. After your request for bootloader unlock (i.e when the mi unlock shows 168 hours) do not add you account in the mi unlock status option in developer setting or you'll have to wait for 7 days again.
Even after all this I'm getting couldn't get info error

The soft on my Xiaomi redmi note 8 has screwed up, the bootloader is locked. Anyone know how I can unlock it without turning on the device?
I tryed a lot of things but without connect to xiaomi account on my phone i couldnt to do nothing.
