Ok so most of the roms support volte but I feel that the jio volte in these rom is very unstable(atleast in my region). This is not the developer's fault, this is the problem of jio.
Solution:
1. Go to play store and install "Network Signal Guru". Open the app, give it root permissions.
2. Now open the dialer and dial 198, if volte works then your should be able to make the call. Now if the call didn't connect then you have to do trial and error by restarting the phone, then again try, etc. If you completely fail to connect the call, then I'll explain what to do at the end of this thread.
3. If the call connects then instantly go to the Network Signal Guru app and check on which band jio is working(swipe right or left and you'll be able to see 'LTE Band', see attachment).
4. Now click on three dots at the upper right corner, and select lock bands. Uncheck all the bands except the band on which jio is working(for me it was B03, see attachment), click on ok.
5. VoLTE will work in your region perfectly.
If you want to set everything back to normal then again open the app click on three dots and click on clear forcing, click on ok. If your call didn't connect completely then simply force every single lte band and see which band is working for you.

How I can switch my Fire Phone to 3G Only Band? Some App or somthing? Who help? :what:
Go to the dialer, enter *#*#4636#*#* and tap "Phone Information". On the next screen, you can select 'WCDMA preferred' from the drop-down menu. However, I'm not sure if the phone will automatically reset itself back after a restart or whatnot.
Yes. I discovery that. Its simple and easy. Now for me, a very good phone.
Is there anyway to turn off 3G ? for use 2G GSM only mode , I want to use EDGE option since my area has the weak 3G signal.

You follow the same steps I gave in my previous post. Instead of selecting WCDMA preferred, you select GSM only in the drop-down menu.

Thank you it works great without reset the phone.
And easier and lazier way is to install the app "Phone testing", it is the shortcut to the same menu. On Motorola phone the app is required because that dialer combination doesn't work.

Did you already try menu options? There's some things in there where you can choose network operators, etc. You usually shouldn't have to, but if you're having trouble it might be worth a try. Only other thing I can think is sim card not sitting right or not activated properly.

Check that the sim is seated properly in the holder.
Do a factory reset on the phone.
In the set up process it will ask you to choose a provider. This puts the correct APN settings in the phone.
If you don't want to reset the phone, then google the APN settings for your provider and enter them manually.
Connect to wifi first. Then download the cell provider settings - it's under network area, called "Internet Settings" and says "Download settings for Internet and MMS."
If that doesn't help, go under Mobile Networks and tap "Service providers". It will scan for cell service in your area and let you manually register on the network. ( I have done this a few times lately, as my phone doesn't seem to want to stay connected to T-Mobile.)
I am from the Philippines and I bought a used S6, when I checked model name in settings prior to buying it it showed SM-G920F. I wanted to update to 6.0 though so I looke up some stock roms on SM-G920F however I just keep getting an error. Thats when I found out, in download mode that what I really have is a SM-G920P which is locked to Sprint.
It recognizes my sim fine as I do have a signal but initially I cannot send a sms nor do I have a mobile data. I have resolved tthe sms issue by going to mobile networks in settings and flipping my preferred network from cdma/lte to automatic. That resolved my mobile data issue as well as I now have internet on my except but no hotspot or the mobile data icon in notifs.
Im ok with both functions usable now but my main problem is even if I do see a signal, I cannot ever make a single call. Once I dial a nimber it will show it is dialling then after a few seconds signal will go out and then dialling will stop with a message No sim.
Any tips? I am currently rooted and with the software version G920PVPS4CQA2. I have twrp recovery and busy box installed. I currently see SMART on the upper left side of my screen which indicates my carrier signal.
Badly need your inputs on this. Thanks in advance to all of you!
Attached a screenshot of my home screen. As you can see, SMART is indicated on the upper left of the screen which is my carrier. This means my sim is being recognized. But I cannot evwr make a call.
Hello,
Anybody else has this problem? All worked fine till the upgrade.
I'm on mintsim and all seems to be well. Volte is on and I just tested WiFi calling which worked fine.
It's the only problem I had after the update on pie.
I used to have volte but now i haven't.
No icon on status bar , first I deactivated the volte from my carrier then I activated again but the problem remains. The support of Nokia have been suggested to
cleared cache on carrier service and made soft reset but nothing done
No problems here, same phone, same network. Ota was sideloaded with no factory reset.
Same here. Same phone, same tmo. I use wifi calling for 99 percent of my calls, and it works just fine for me after sideloading the update.

Thank you - I did a factory reset and the problem was resolved. Seems something wrong went during the upgrade to Android Pie. Despite the fact that phone is not rooted or modified in any way.
Having same problem, Factory reset didnt solve the problem... (done twice now). have 3 of these phones... one has volte and vowifi working after update, 2 = no go. Any thoughts on how I can gets these 2 phones working with all of Tmo's services?
Is there a way to check volte? In settings, it's turned on, but I never see an icon. Should I be seeing an icon?
VoLTE will show up at the top of the screen next to your signal icon. (Or VoWiFi if on a wifi signal that is capable). Mine doesn't show because the phone borked it's update and for some reason wont register to the IMS server now. You can also check if you are provisioned for VoLTE and VoWiFi in the phone status by dialing *#*#4636#*#* and selecting the top "phone information". Furthermore you can check if IMS is registered (required to use either service) by then selecting the three dots in the upper right hand corner and selecting "IMS service status".
If you have both options enabled in the phone settings and the Phone information shows you are provisioned for them, but your IMS is not registered... your November update probably borked as well. (this is the hole I'm currently in)
I might add for those that may not know, if you do not have provisioning, this is the fault (or limitation) of your provider. Consult with them to correct. If you are provisioned however and IMS is not registered, Make sure your APN settings are correct (again to your spec provider). If still unable to get IMS registration, well... welcome aboard!

Same for me (T-Mobile US).
In my case, the phone was updated to Android 9.0, but right after that I sent it to Nokia for repair because of frequent call dropping that was happening with both Android 8.1 and 9.0. I got it back from Nokia with Android 7.1.1 loaded on it (?) and was prompted to update to Android 9.0 and then to the November 2018 security update. Since then I have factory reset the phone twice, but it's not doing IMS registration.

Me too.
So I switched my sim card from slot one to slot two and lo and behold, both VoLTE and VoWIFI are now working. I wonder why? It sucks that you can't use that AND have a microSD card in, but I don't use that much storage so this will work for now ...
I'm having the same problem with AT&T on the TA-1045. Normally I get VoLTE only, but not showing IMS Registered. Just tried moving SIM from slot 1 to slot 2 with no success.

Was looking for VoLTE and found this thread. Yes VoLTE works fine with t-mobile, I tested this week-end while in USA (I'm Canadian). Also to use 2 sim cards AND sdcard you can use an hybrid extender, I am using one and it works perfectly. My Canadian SIM is inside the phone with the SD Card and my other sim (roam mobility, t-mobile,m at&t, etc) is outside and very easy to change.
Hello Folks,
I have an unlocked (SIM) Moto Z2 Force from AT&T that I am using on Freedom mobile in Canada. All the radios frequencies align between the carriers.
Data works perfectly.
Text messaging works perfectly.
BUT I cannot make or receive calls.
If I dial, I get no dialing tones outbound. (NO RINGING)
The phone will not accept *#*#4636#*#* so I cannot fiddle with any of these settings.
Thoughts or directions? Anything would help.
CE
Can you make calls over 2G or 3G? By default VoLTE is enabled.
i found there is no voice call, when i chose LTE only in *#*#4636#*#* , unless LTE/WCDMA is selected
Interesting.

I've tried to access *#*#4636#*#* many many times -- it does not work.
I will try to force it to LTE/WCDMA to see if this works.
