[Q] Software to download samusng stock firmware

Hi as the post states i need the software to downlaod the samsung rom which i had used before to downgrade my s3 to stock
and for some reason i forgot what that was called; can you guys help out .

Help about lost root & recovery

I want to ask about root and recovery
When i update new FW from Kies or on phone directly..Will i lost recovery and root

First of all after getting rooted you will not get update through kies.

Oh I still receive about update FW from fone and Kies..I just wonder after I update then root & recovery will lost?

After rooting your system status would be changed from official to custom. So custom status devices don't get OTA updates.

Now I think our Grand community will become interesting rather than boring serious android questions all the time:banghead:
And now about the answere to your question...
Listen if you root your phone (Grand) then in the future whe samsung releases any new firmware update ... then u wont get those update because ... if u go to about device> status there u can see after rooting that device status changed from official to custom now.
Which means u wont get any new firmware update from Samsung ota in phone and nither from kies.
So if u want to install the latest and greatest update from samsung then u have to download the firmware package from sammobile and flash it via odin.
And about recovery thingy ...
After rooting stock recovery will change to cwm ... and if u again flash stock rom via odin then u will loose your root access along with CWM recovery.

Then only I can tell u if u are using a old one or a new 1

u just do the update yar....if u lost ur root .
....root it again ...nd by doing ota or kies update u will never loose any data...

htc one x bricked

I have the international version of the htc one x ,i flashed an old backup , and now its stuck in a boot loop .if wipe the cache and dalvik cache i can make it to the 'starting apps screen' where it loops again forever . the big problem i have is that i cant connect it to my pc , it just doesn't show up in device manager .please help.

What have you ecept? Its a Samsung user (i'am a samsung user too....d'oh!). Samsung released so many phones, that it seems that the "unlucky with thinking" peoples are samsung exlusive. Bless for us, Pain for the Samsung forums

Friends, I need to downgrade from 4.1 to 2.3 on my galaxy ace2 (i8160L), Latin America stock, if so can someone provide a tutorial for me to go back to 2.3

Someone previously made a tread of it, you should searh for it. Int the thread theres a guy that claimed to have 3 part firmware. Then you can use odin to downgrade

You have L? Than need to read this thread i send you, one guy post a link on second page for L version, and than use same tutorial. Contact that guy for help. I hope this helps.

No, the above firmware is not compatible with G928F. But one for G928F shouldn't be far, after all, today 6.0 firmware got out for G928C.
Now, you cannot flash G928C firmware on G928F. But there is a trick I guess. Look at this page where there is a guide on how S6 Edge users with model no. G925i could install a firmware meant actually for G925F. Good luck!! Although I will recommend you wait and watch until 6.0 firmware drops for your G928F.

I'm getting tired of checking for update on this fourm every 2 hours to see if 928F variant has been released. I will wait if someone produce a video showing of the features.

Apart from MM changes I belive we will pretty much only get general Samsung improvements and not new features, it's already been said that s6 edge+ won't get always on display

The S6 Edge 6.0.1 has the new panels. I'm pretty sure we will get the same, if not then Samsung that's just plain favouritism
