Latest update: 2016-10-27 To view a changelog, you can visit http://www.cmxlog.com/13/quark/ for a rough idea up to the build date.
Hi all. I was able to compile this stock build of CM 13.0 thanks to the efforts/hard works of Skrilax_CZ, baybutcher27, the folks who created Resurrection Rom Remix, and those over at CyanogenMod. It takes some minor features from Resurrection Rom apparently (i.e. notification light, some tiny performance/battery tweaks, and the ability to install Motorola apps). It is otherwise stock CM 13 and I use this daily. I and the other authors/devs assume no responsibility if you damage your device somehow.
Please don't feel pressured to update any more often than you wish .
Notes:
In order to make my calling work for Verizon, I had to go under Settings->Cellular networks->Preferred network type, and select LTE/CDMA (not LTE/GSM/UMTS). I assume GSM users should be fine with the defaults.
My recommendations to install:
Install TWRP 3.0.2 if you haven't already: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...recovery-twrp-2-8-7-0-touch-recovery-t3180308
Perform a backup of your current system/ROM (not really needed if just flashing a newer version).
Perform a factory reset/wipe (if coming from another ROM). If not coming from another ROM, still safest to do a dalvik/art cache reset.
Install the .zip
Install the appropriate google apps (http://opengapps.org/ , ARM, 6.0). I would think nano or micro is best.
(Optional) Install a custom kernel. The best at the time of this writing are at:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-maxx/development/kernel-bhb27-kernel-t3207526 (CM-NX-RR-M builds for Marshmallow)
The latest is here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=50122
Wipe dalvik/art cache if you install another kernel.
Reboot and enjoy
Kernel Adiutor is very good for performance/power saving adjustments:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.grarak.kerneladiutor
If you are using bhb27 kernels, then you should use his version of Kernel Adiutor:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=48767
Here is the link to the latest ROM on the hosting website:

I'll be back to post updates fairly regularly (~every 1-2 weeks), but I also work full time in addition to being a Dad (those of you who are know how that is ) and won't really be able to response to PMs very well. The sources I used can be found under the post on XDA here at http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-maxx/development/rom-resurrection-remix-t3316232 (device, vendor, and kernel trees). Thanks and God bless.
I just flash this version and its absolutely amazing.
Good job devs!
Bugs I noticed:
-Settings for LED doesn't work.
-Android Auto says is not a supported device.
-Quick Charge 2.0 doesn't seems to work.
-Phone gets really hot when charging.
-...
I have been tempted to flash this all day, but I love how smooth my phone has been on resurrection remix and I enjoy the extra customizations it has. I'm eagerly awaiting the next resurrection remix build for all the latest git changes

That's a bummer with some of those bugs. Hopefully those will be taken care of soon and I'll be able to sync and rebuild. Did all of these happen to be with the stock kernel, or did you happen to flash another (like baybutchers)? I've seen a few specific to the tiles, but I dont have an Android Auto system to check against. Also, if they are working (or some) in resurrection then I could possibly try to patch this.

I don't know exactly, I installed it by downloading the zip and gapps to my PC and used the ADB sideload, before that I was using the last nightly of CM12.1. I did that and I didn't loose my info (either way I did a TWRP backup of everything, except cache previously), so I think it was the CM kernel. When I installed for the first time CM I flashed also the zip and gapps, if that way the stock kernel is changed with the CM kernel I think I'm using CM kernel.

Yeah that sounds like the stock cm kernel then if you didn't flash anything like that separately. I don't know if it would help, but you could always try the other kernel I posted about and see if Android Auto works (would have to restore your backup if you didn't want to keep it). It just depends how much you care and if it's worth staying with the ROM to you. There's obviously bound to be some bugs, but I enjoy using a lean version of the latest and greatest system. Thanks for the feedback .
Installed it 2h ago, everything is running fine so far.
This is smoother than the old cm and than rr too. I'm impressed!
I'm using Bhb Kernel.
My phone is turbo charging, led is working...
No bugs for me.
Nice job, mate! I'm glad we got a new cyanogenmod that we can have updates. Keep strong!

I've just been going under the built in privacy guard and setting advanced permissions to where apps I don't need to start at boot are denied, in addition to also denying a lot of them from being allowed to keep the device awake. I get very little battery drain in standby this way. If the cell signal is too weak though, it's really hard to prevent extra drain as it over compensates to get a good signal.

It's a little hard to say since there is a lot and I am just syncing to the main CyanogenMod 13 repository. However, this is a good link if you go by the date and something similar (such as the Nexus 6 which shares a lot of hardware).
http://www.cmxlog.com/13/shamu/
This may be a dumb question but does this have VoLTE enabled and working(Verizon user)? Since it is CyanogenMod based I assume not but just waned to ask.
calsurferpunk, can you fix wifi on XT1254 with stock Brasil 1225's 6.0.1 ROM? CM12.1 and CM13 detect Moto Maxx and Droid Turbo radio very good!

Your assumption is correct. I don't believe this has ever worked with CyanogenMod. I'm on Verizon and haven't seen it.

I had this problem on other ROMs as well until I restored the original manufacturer ROM, set GPS to device only, verified it worked, then flashed the new ROM. You might have to do the same here. I believe it's been a long ongoing bug with CyanogenMod (and probably others).
pretty thx for the cm13,did it have ambient display?
I am downloading this at work right now. It is slow and will take me a couple to download.
While it is dl'g, I have a question about wiping. Do I still need to do a factory reset if I am coming from a marshmallow cm13 RR rom?Baybutchers?
Also, I have not been able to get my GPS to work properly. In your post #17, you referred to original manufacturer rom. Where can I get this rom to set the gps? I do have computerfreek's room saved as a backup if I could use it? I don't have easy access to a computer to do a fastboot.
Thx.

Yes, I had the same problem. Going to wait until the updates stabilize or if someone can help understand which Gapps to use.
Thanks
I was experiencing the same issue. Now I've installed an older version and its working fine.
Back to ground zero
It worked fine for a few hours. Now it's unusable again.
Here's some good alternatives that seems to be pretty stable for the LOS14.1/CM14.1 ROM's (though the Delta GApps are good, i would recommend the Dynamic GApps as the first alternative):

Hi gueys,
last week i installed Lineage 14.1 on my galaxy s 5, coming from the samsung firmware. After flashing the device always freezed after short time. In a forum I read, that the problem is at the current opengapps-Version. After flashing an older version of the gapps the problem seemed solved. But today the problem is back, i guess there was an Update for the Google Apps. Now I will test the mentioned alternatives.
I apologize to my English, it is my schoolglish and the school is already 20 years ago.
I tried Dynamic Gapps, it worked for about 20 mins; I was able to install apps and everything but then it started to freeze. The only one that hasn't frozen ever for me was: crDroid 7.1, but the disadvantages were that Mobile Data didn't work nor did the camera! Anyone else found a fix, I want to get a good ROM which is blazing fast!
Full dynamic gapps woked for me. Thanx a lot for this post. I was really starting to pull my hair out here!!
If you guys haven't figured it out yet. A Dalwik wipe will fix this issue!
Hi.
Definitely working nothing. I tried every variation which was posted in this an other topics.
After "Google Play Services" upgrade everything going bad, freeze, restart, etc., can't use the phone.
I tried to use "Gapps" before and after 2017.01.19.
If somebody have any useful solution please share with me.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Finally I found on this webpage the "Official Galaxy S5 Duos Lineage OS 14.1 [klteduos] [7.1.2 Nougat]" lineageosdownloads.com/download-official-galaxy-s5-duos-lineage-os
I downloaded "lineage-14.1-20170503-nightly-klteduos-signed.zip" and with this rom working perfect every new "GAPPS" before and after update too.

That's great news you were able to get your klteduos booted. I've been trying since January to get a newer version that will even boot and have been unsuccessful as you've described.
Many of the images I've managed to download from the source you quote above seem to be completely hopeless in terms of doing virtually anything (such as getting beyond the boot screen).
Currently (early/mid July 2017) only the following images are available:
lineage-14.1-20170705-nightly-klteduos-signed.zip
lineage-14.1-20170621-nightly-klteduos-signed.zip
lineage-14.1-20170614-nightly-klteduos-signed.zip
lineage-14.1-20170607-nightly-klteduos-signed.zip
I've tried every single one of these and they all hang at boot time, requiring removal of the battery (god knows I won't be getting any newer Samsung mobiles as one cannot even "remove" the battery from the later models).
An online search for lineage-14.1-20170503-nightly-klteduos-signed.zip reveals several sites that once had the image, but none currently.
May I kindly entice you to upload the image you successfully booted somewhere online?
I've actually been trying to find an image that functions with both SIMs since December 2016, when the second SIM simply stopped connecting to the network (irrespective of which SIM slot they are in - yes, I did connect successfully when using the second SIM in another phone and I have been carrying around two phones since that time, AARGH!).
Non-stop headaches with these mobile devices nowadays...

I'm not responsible for any damage to your device of any sort.
By flashing this you take responsibility of anything that happens.
Process at your own risk!
This firmware was developed for the p905. It doesn't apply to the p905v at this time because it's bootloader locked and a custom recovery isn't possible.
If you want to check firmware - please make backup. Better to store all partitions, at least efs and may be modem.
Instructions
1. Install custom recovery
2. Download the zip(s) - firmware and Google Apps additional package (optional)
3. Backup all partitions (it least efs) and store somewhere - it need to do - because you can loose imei
4. Full wipe all
5. Flash firmware and gapps
6. Uncheck Update Lineage Recovery alongside the OS option during start wizard
Work
almost all

Will there be also a P900 build?
Thank you Valera 1978!
PS. I have "Serial console enabled Performance is impacted. To disable, check bootloader" message.
Today I saw that BT is not working at all
BT is already crashed in the last 17 Version from 2020/12 several times. Maybe a common issue?
A build for the P900 would be great! Many thanks to the developers for keeping this get tablet alive and better than ever!
Valera1978, gratitude for keeping our Tablet alive. How is the S-Pen working in this ROM?
Well, I think to try tomorrow to install it! Good work like always Dev
What would I necessarily have to do to Port this to p900
I tried this for a little time. For me it is laggy too much. It's better at the moment Lineage 17.1 even if I need to find the version with palm rejection working because in the last (for me) not work.
I tried this rev. but I immediatly rolled back to 17.1
So buggy and slow. I hope in next updates

Hi! I flashed the new version and this is perfect, not slow like the other!
I would want use Duo app but from the other side not hear me. If I do a simple video with camera app I can hear my voice. What problem can be???
Thanks a lot
Edit: I found this problem in lineage 17.1 too. Maybe there is some settings that I don't know?!
Edit2: If u want call via skype, duo or other things just use earphones... what a bug lol!
Tanks a lot Valera1978 for the New Update...
No possibility with p900?
New build's great, much smoother than 17.1 and no crashes or other issues so far
Edit: Found out that the lag is somehow caused by me changing the wallpaper. Not sure why since the wallpaper is not live and is only 1920x1200 so it shouldn't cause lag.
Also, system UI keeps stopping when trying to enter settings from the notification shade
Too bad can't download it (neither of them). There seems to be some kind of cooldown or something on Drive. Can anyone confirm?
Edit: Got it installed. Seems to be super smooth. Thank you very much for your work OP. You are da real MVP, this tabled is old but you keep this alive!
its not better compare to 17.1 . change colorful wallpapers in few programs/home unable to change. some graphics issue. video still same as 17.1 camera can not take video .but can take pictures. Thanks Valera1978 for the new upgrade
Updated April security patch. runs smooth, but still everything same camera only can use for photo and few apk graphic could not see. but over all it stable and nice thanks again Valera1978

How for how time much should the update be released. sry for bad english
Hello everyone,
since my OnePlus 9 Pro doesn't work as fast as I expect, I'm wondering if installing a custom operating system would make it faster. I want degoogled phone, and I would like to be able to restore WhatsApp Chats from OxygenOS backup.
Which Custom ROM do you recommend? LineageOS?
Will Android be faster after installing Custom ROM and is it even necessary to install Custom ROM for speed? Or do you have a suggestion of what to do with OxygenOS to make it fast?
Thank you!
I would find a aosp rom most pute source if you want speed. Also if I were you I would use swift backup to save and restore my apps and data if going to other roms
toolhas4degrees, can you explain how can I do that? at least the first thing you mentioned?
hello,
Long story short:
1. CustomRom: Carbon Rom because battery life is good but for bugs you need to check for yourself
Optional for Battery-Life improvement and issue tracking:
1. "MinMicroG" as a flashable option instead of Gapps ( Skip this if you don't want microG and use Google apps)
2. app "Warden" to analyize apps which are using "Trackers, Google Analytic Services and Ad services" (Some Apps are extreme battery hogs probably because of some Services, Receivers and Wakelocks as i recognized)
3. use app like Servicely or similiar to disable receivers and services (as mentioned above)
4. Use Gsam Battery Monitor for Wakelocks and an advanced battery-usage-Statistic
5. Tasker for Automation for turning things off like Wifi etc. (only for experienced or "willing to learn" users, not necessary)
Note: Custom Rom with MicroG support is needed for MicroG to work (CarbonRom, LineageOS)
Note: For OSS Backups i have no experience, normally Whatsapp makes a backup to Google Drive or atleast local on your phone.
@AndroiduserBlazeIf you need some guidance trough the mentioned procedures, i will try to guide you through.
Ps: if you are still OSS with all your data in place, you can backup and restore via Android Debug Bridge
Best Regard's
Alex1911
Is Carbon ROM faster than LineageOS?
It is difficult to say, I think CarbonRom and LineageOS are close up but not really similar.
I would prefer CarbonRom (android 11) because you can customize your experience a little bit more than LineageOS. I have ran and still run CarbonRom with issues of course but a battery life way better then OSS in my experience.
The other Customroms with Android 12 are not really stable.
I had similar problem with my Huawei P8 LITE 2017 PRALX1, since the last emui update my phone was slow and soft crashing every time and battery wouldnt last long (screen turns black and i'm back at the unlock screen) so I decided to at least try to fix it, after somes adventures I unlocked the bootloader and installed LineageOS 17.1 with android 10 (recent version dont work very well yet, think it comes from the kernel)
My phone was running as new, battery was lot more better, and everything worked except the back camera, I think I broke it when I was opening the phone (tbh not a big deal since I never use cameras anyways)
I opted for LineageOS though. Can anyone tell me how to restore WhatsApp (because it is the only application I want to restore) on the newly installed Custom ROM? Can this chat database be found in Google's drive and just copied to the new Whatsapp on LineageOS?
Thanks in advance!
Can someone tell me why this error appears by trying to flash LinegeOS;
"error: cannot load 'lineage-18.1-20220308-recovery-lemonadep.img': No such file or directory"? Where do I need to put the image file so that he recognise it? I use linux
EDIT: I got it. Problem solved. I just gone into the Downloads folder where I downloaded the image file. Now I´m trying out my new LineageOS ond my One Plus 9 Pro
