Hi, i'm having low headphone sound problem with my mi6. I'm using Miui 9.5.6.0 and device is rooted.
I've found a few guides that changing mixer_paths_tasha file fixes the problem.
My question is, i cant find this file. I'm using ES file manager and inside system/ets folders, there isnt any mixer_paths_tasha.xml file or any similar.
what am i missing?
Android 8.0 path is /system/vender/etc

I had low sound volume after 9.5.3.0 update, I had switched to xiaomi.eu rom and it fixed it. Now I'm on Lineage OS 15.1 official, and also everything works. Xiaomi global oreo ROMs are too buggy for my taste.

Hi.
Has anyone successfully installed the miui camera app on los15.1?
Thanks!

That version seems flawed in many ways and is meant for the redmi 4.
I already found a much better port, that is meant for oreo and everything works for the redmi 3, I modified the requred xml files in the flashable zip and in the inner apk file, instqlled it from twrp, but the camera force closes when I run the app.
Believe me, I tried googling before posting here

Then maybe we can use Oreo MIUI amera from MI A1...

I am still on Viper ROM and plan to move to LOS15.1 on Monday, or in few more weeks until they iron out majority of bugs.
This is a fairly simple module that increases the mic volume for custom roms. Since a couple of months, mic volume became so low (I guess it happened after flex used xiaomi's Jan blobs in los16). This module just edits mixer_path_mtp file and raises the volume a bit. I've been using it for a month and no one complains about my low volume anymore.
This is not tested and will not probably work in stock rom since I remember that mixer_path file in stock is named something else and I don't remember it.
You may send me any mixer_path file in/vendor/etc/ and I will try to do the same edits and it would work.
Repo:

Works perfectly (Revenge OS).
Thanks.

This is a magisk module that you should flash using magisk manager. AFAIK, Most custom roms have fixed the issue and added similar changes so I don't think this is necessary anymore.

Actually, it is necessary. I am having problems with my mic in my Samsung galaxy s6 with the unofficial resurrection remix os. Know any fix other than this? It didn't work for me, sadly.

Oh, this module is made for xiaomi mi a1 (tissot) and most probably your device will not boot or will boot with missed up sound configuration.

So I realized that my ZUK was not vibrating. I tested the vibration with the hidden phone codes and an app but to no avail. I looked around the internet and found out that my phone's so called Vibrator.ko module located in the lib folder might be a suspect. I found out that it was missing. How do I restore it? I use my phone on silent and usually rely on vibrations ;-;
My rom is the ArrowOS 9.0 March 27th build

Is vibration working in twrp??
Sent from my Z2 Plus using Tapatalk
what android version are you using? treble or non treble?
This seems to be a standard android module common across roms.. Try dirty flashing rom.. if that doesn't work, i can share my module and you can add it in your rom.. this should fix the issue.
Hi,
I'm currently on MIUI 12.6 by xiaomi.eu and somehow I can't increse the volume on the phone while listening via bluetooth in ear headphones.
It says its on maximum, but in comparison to my old Redmi 4x the volume is at about 75% feeling...
Does anyone know a hidden setting to increase the volume?
Regards

If your phone is rooted (I assume it is) try using Viper4Android magisk modual
Also read this post if you use it
[MOD] viper4android + MIUI 12 + Magisk 21.1
Default viper4android Magisk module doesn't work for me with SELinux enforcing. "Brute force" fix is to set SELinux to permissive, but I don't like this approach. Viper4android module should patch selinux policies during installation, but it...

Thanks for the hint! I installed it and it got a bit louder, but still not loud as with my Redmi 4x..
It's so strange.. could it be because of the ROM? On the Redmi4x I use the resurrection remix rom. On the gaugin I use MIUI 12.6 by xiaomi.eu
Also I need to add, that I cant find the option to toggle Absolute Bluetooth Volume in Developer Options...

You can adjust the gain in the settings to make it louder etc
Yeah, I did this (see screenshots) but no improvement here I also shared two screenshots from the developer settings section, to prove that there's no option to toggle Absolute Bluetooth Volume

You can try directly editing the mixer_paths.xml yourself
Use a file browser browser with root access
Find vendor/etc/mixer_paths.xml
You will need to research yourself what values needs changing to increase volume
I have included the stock mixer_paths.xml below - you could try simply replacing your one with the stock one however it may cause a bootloop. Make sure you backup your existing file first. Set file permissions to 6-4-4 or rw-r-r
If it bootloops just replace original file via twrp or restore your twrp backup
I tried all custom roms possible and no one have sound, only with earphones.
I'm pretty sure it's note mo phone defective because was working before and didnt drop on the floor.
Any help would be immensely appreciated.
Thanks.
I have the same phone and have discovered the same problem after flashing any of the Android 11 custom ROM. No sound from speaker/ringer/media (except headphone jack). I found one suggested solution here, the last reply to the AOSPK ROM thread. The solution was to place 4 files into vendor/etc. I tried that and sure enough I got sound back with those ROMs but it broke the phone call function, couldn't make calls, dialers just ended call as soon as I tried to connect. Maybe this will work for someone else. Maybe someone else has a better solution. I'll try just replacing one file at a time and see if I can figure it out. If you find a solution let us know.

Oh and the easiest way to get back to stock is to use the Motorola Rescue assistant tool here. Just put your phone into bootloader mode and the Motorola tool will detect the phone, download the latest stock firmware and restore the phone.
Okay, I found the fix. From stock I installed AOSPExtended ROM from the Moto G6 Play forum. Initially everything seemed to work but no audio.
The fix reported in my last post, linked to the Telegram group was:
"For sound, add these 4 files to vendor/etc"
mixer_paths.xml
audio_platform_info.xml
audio_platform_info_jeter_p0.xml
mixer_paths_jeter_p0.xml
"
Copying all 4 files caused audio to work but cell calling broke.
Copy only the first 2 files without 'jeter_p0' in the name and audio was fixed and nothing else broke. Happy now. I assume this will fix the same problem with all the Android 11 roms I installed that caused this problem.

Hi, friend.
I tried your solution, but it did not work on my phone, jeter xt-1922-9, i flashed pixel experience plus or lineage os 18.1, no one working on audio. no sound incoming call, no sound on youtube video.
