Hello guys, I hope you're enjoying your new s9 as well.
I just have a question, does anyone know how to add shortcuts of the camera modes in the home screen? By default, out of the box, the s9 home screen layout had the Super slow mo and AR emoji mode both on home screen, but after I've removed it, found no way to get it back again. Or maybe Im just too "blind" searching for it?

Hi ... does anyone know how to activate landscape mode on a XDA 2s? I went to Settings -- System -- Screen but could not find any controls there.
landscape mode
just press the O2 button on ur keyboard!
Yep it worked! I had to do a hard reset though before I got that button to work. Something must have messed up my registry settings. Thanks a pile!
Does anyone use landscape as default? What do you think the advantages are?
I'm too used to using portrait I guess, but I suppose browsing web pages might be better in landscape...
I think the today screen looks better in portrait, unless there is an app that lets you split things into two verticle columns? Quick start buttons and info down the left and appointments down the right or something?
playing around in twidroid pro today. i disable live preview mode, i just dont like it. so i turn the phone to landscape and twidroid is in a strange config. left pane are tweets, right pane empty. like the option for live preview is broken, no matter to me, i dont use it.
anyway i press home and rosie is all landscape. taskbar looks good, launcher adjusted, app drawer arrow adjusted, the app drawer and home screens adjusted, the phone key turned into the phone icon only. i was able to use it till i turned back portrait. it was nice and now i want it.
perhaps theres a way to make it happen with the stock.
Hi all,
I'd really like to know whether setting quick toolbar + full screen browsing into the stock browser does hide the software button of ICS. I mean: does it really have a fullscreen browsing that way, can I use the whole screen?
A screenshot would be really appreciated!
You know what: I own a Galaxy Note and I cannot make up my mind whether to change it or not for a Galaxy Nexus. I have an ipad2 too and maybe a note is too much. But I like big screen and maybe a nexus with its 4.65 screen it's the perfect size. However, browsing on a 4.65 screen with ICS software buttons, it's like browsing on my old Galaxy S2 in terms of visible screen. Thus browsing in real full screen would be great!
Thanks in advance
The softbuttons are still visible in fullscreen mode.
There's the labs feature quick controls which hides the address bar, also a labs feature to hide the notification bar, however nothing removes the soft buttons, they just turn into dots and dim.

Thanks for your answer!
Then the best I can achieve is to remove address bar and notification bar.
Such a pity!

Who knows, maybe one day devs will be able to hide them, like it happens for videos.
That would be great! I mean: when you have the quicktoolbar, they could insert there a back button and we could have the whole screen estate to browse!
That's what I'm hoping happens, if eventually someone manages to get them to hide from a swipe down then reappear with a swipe up or press of the power button or something, It would be awesome
Not, until we can access the bookmark via Quick Control as well.
Currently, when you enable Quick Control, you need to long-press the back button to access the bookmark.
There is no other way ...

Actually, if you go to the new tab shortcut, the bookmarks tab is in the top right next to the new tab and options button.
I found this trick in one of the tips and tricks videos on youtube and have not seen it mentioned anywhere else so thought maybe many people didnt know about it, since tips and tricks are posted all the time here and there, and every time there are people who didnt know about it.
This one was one of my favorites of the many thare are..... anyways...
push the home button, or the power button when the screen is off WHILE holding the phone in portrait, then place a finger on the lock screen, NOW rotate the entire phone to landscape and walla, camera
Yep, saw that one on one of those annoying tips that pop up every ½ second when you first start up the phone. There is a bunch of stuff you can do if you go into the motion settings
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using xda premium
Or I could just swipe the camera at the bottom on the lock screen...lol. I couldn't get this to work. Maybe I don't have it activated.

You dont have to activate it in motion settings. You cant turn it off. You can remove the camera shortcut on the lock screen and put something usefull there

You do and you can. There's an option for Quick Camera Start under Lock Screen Settings.
By the way, I find that the camera crashes if it's in video mode when I launch it via quick-start rotate gesture. But if it's in still-photo mode, or if I launch it by swiping the lock-screen camera icon instead of by the rotate gesture, then it starts normally.

Doesn't crash for me when I use the gesture when the camera is in video mode. I love the gesture and removed the camera quick launch icon.
Hello all,
I was just wondering if anyone knew of a way to enable magnification gestures or as LG is calling it "touch zoom" on the lock screen. For anyone who does not know what this feature is, it is a screen magnifier built into android that can be enabled from the accessibility menu. It lets the user triple tap with one finger to zoom the screen in on any app on the phone, for example if you needed to see what the app icon text is on the home screen you would triple tap and hold and the screen would zoom in and fallow your finger as you move it around the screen. On my nexus 7 and gs4 this worked on the lock screen, unfortunately it seems LG has disabled this feature on their lock screen. My first thought was knock on was causing the problem so I enabled the verizon hidden menu and disabled it unfortunately this did not help. I am rooted and am willing to try any suggestions. My only other thought would be to get in contact with the dev of g3 tweakbox because he seems to know a lot about the LG's implantation of android.
thanks in advance!

It works if you have a slide lock screen, but that's not very useful :/
