No round corners - what round corners you are referring to ?
Brightness issues - the brightness issues such? for me I notice that the brightness is significantly reduce when u reduce the brightness to the lowest
No digital dashboard - if you are referring to digital wellbeing , you need to download it from playstore first after update to PIE.

This corners not rounded as in pixel phones and also why the color isn't just blue like pixel istead of this strange color!!
No text copying from recent apps screen like pixel
For brightness I have to slide it for about 45% to get the same brightness as 20% in oreo and for sure it's more battery consuming!
The rounded corners thing is true, notification shade and quick actions are not as rounded as Pixel and you can't select text from an Overview/recent apps. But you can always flash custom ROM if you're not satisfied. I personally like it and, performance-wise, it works great. Once they polish these bugs, it will be even better experience.
The corners are rounded because the phone's screen has rounded edges..Unless you mean about another thing... What do you mean with digital dashboard? If you mean Digital WellBeing you might need to join their beta. I had no problems with the brightness.. the only problems I had is with the camera and I had one time when the recent screen was stuck for 4 seconds

Hi!
Does anyone know if brightness settings will change on Android Q? For me, they were ok on Android Oreo. I know that the 2 xl hasn't a superb display, but Pie did a total mess!
I wish I could set the brightness at 45 - 50% as I did before (the screen didn't suck) instead of reaching the 90%! I haven't installed any Q Beta version yet.
Thanks in advance

The Pie brightness was overhauled and had different locations for the same brightness compared to Oreo. But in my opinion auto brightness on pie and Q is much better than Oreo. You can also train it to adjust to your liking.

Thanks for your answer
Starting with Pie, they made the brightness slider linear. So 50% before Pie was definitely not 50% nits output for the screen which, with a rated max 403 by anandtech, would be only 201.5 nits. And that was before the November update that lowered the max by 50 nits. That's why you're needing it to be 90% and higher in bright ambient light.

Arc Lighting adds a highly customizable ring of light around the camera cutout of your phone. You can use this light with various indicators such as audio visualization, notification lighting, critical or low battery warnings, as well as a charge indicator. The ring can also appear on your Always-On display. (to make aod work you need to make sure you have downloaded always on amoled and activated it, you also need to make sure samsung stock aod and samsung edge lighting is disabled under samsung display settings you also need to make sure that aod is enabled under arclighting with override set to off)
Features:
- Highly customizable lighting for the Galaxy S10, S10+, S10e, and Note 10. Select a variety of colors, animations, and styles.
- Always show ring with various gradient effects (add multiple colors and make them spin for a visual experience)
- An adjustable glow effect that can be turned on or off
- Notification lighting both when the display is on or off (update planned for only the lockscreen or only inapp)
- Music lighting that syncs the light to your music
- Battery indicator lighting for charging, low and critical battery states. (note it will not work until you configure the zones you want the colors to appear)
- Device overheating indicator for gamers and power users (note it will not work until you configure the zones you want the colors to appear)
- Arc Lighting can be configured to match the color of your wallpaper, the app you're currently in, or both!
This app requires certain permissions to function correctly.
Accessibility: This permission is used for the ring to appear over your lock screen, always-on display, and for accessing the color of the current app you're in. This permission is required for the app to function properly.
Draw Over Other Apps: This permission allows the ring to show on top of other apps. This permission is required for the app to function properly.
Microphone Access: This permission is used to analyze the internal device audio for the music lighting. You will not be asked for this permission unless you choose to enable the Audio Visualizer indicator for the ring.
Storage Access: This permission is used to get the color of your wallpaper. You will not be asked for this permission unless you choose to use the color of your wallpaper for the ring.
Notification access: This permission is used to change the color of the ring after notifications
Burn-in concerns: Some Android displays may suffer from mild burn-in if a single item is displayed on the screen for an extremely significant amount of time. If you are concerned about this, feel free to enable the rotation animation in ring settings. That will ensure the display is constantly changing. Alternately, you can disable the default effect to only show the ring while an indicator is being triggered. Note: Samsung Galaxy devices come with burn-in protection that moves the pixels a little each time.

Been using the app for a few hours now and really like it. Works very very well.
Phone is on silent at work so these notifications are helpful.
Using this with the AOD notify. The latter is helpful when the screen is off or face down.
Keep up the good work [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]

thank you that means a lot, i still want to include more features but i owe the developer money and he won't do any more updates until i paid it off some things i want to implement
fix bugs like the landscape bug, glow and music turning off other indicators
add a connected or disconnected or both to the app and get rid of the charging indicator so you can choose what color you want, right now you can use a work around to see charge level for that by setting a custom zone for the battery indicator and then setting it to between 99 and 100 for it to turn green there but it will do it even when the phone is disconnected but it works to know when it's fully charged
inapp/homescreen/lockscreen/charging/discharging modes so you can choose a configuration for each like only notification lighting on the lockscreen and only the spinning visual effect on the homescreen
gradient and animations per app and toggle to enable or disable notifications for certain apps so for example when you are performing a call it can do a gradient animation specific for that.
i have plenty of ideas but no funding to do it so the app could be much much better.

Everything seems to be working well. Is there a setting that allows for incremental adjustments to the ring? It is just slightly off center with the actual hole. Do I PM you for the code or is feedback here good?

This app was initially developed for Samsung Galaxy devices with Always on Display. As OnePlus devices will also get an Always on Display soon i decided to create a version specially for OnePlus devices. For now the app runs in a compatibility mode as the Always on Display has not been released yet. App is in beta stage currently.

errr .... I'm using this phone with the front camera outside of the screen, no hole in the actual screen, this oval **** drove me crazy.
when tried to set the ofsets to be around the cameras, the phone simply won't use the portion of the screen where the cameras are.
is there anything that can be done with that?

I did, still can't move the ring outside of the screen.
Works like charm.. I just faced a small issue when in lockscreen.
It messes up the tap the screen to show feature in the ambient display. Only double tap works properly, single tap doesn't . Hope this gets fixed in the future updates.
Thanks for the efforts^_^!

Needed to tune the cutout as it doesn't actually fit perfectly by default.
Is it possible to bring down the brightness toggle so it can be reached with one hand without root? I use auto brightness but sometimes have to adjust it manually as it's not very accurate all the time.
As a work around I switch on one handed mode and move it this way which is a bit awkward.
Super staus bar is working for me until (hopefully) Gravitybox comes out for A12.
Super Status Bar - Customize - Apps on Google Play
Easy brightness control, notification ticker text, gestures, battery bar & more
play.google.com
Almost certain not what you want, and definite overkill, but you could use Bottom Status Bar and only enable the brightness slider (and not the literal bottom status bar). The downside is that, unlike the native brightness slider, changing the brightness through Bottom Status Bar turns Auto brightness off. You could enable the brightness slider in it, and a Auto-Brightness toggle switch, but then you'd have to get used to manually turning auto-brightness back on. There are probably more complex things you could do with automation apps (Tasker, etc) but that would likely require root where Bottom Status Bar doesn't for these purposes. The good side is at least the brightness slider would be very available from the bottom of the screen. I hope a stock ADB and/or root solution comes eventually for the stock ROM. There's not too often a time I want to change it manually, but having to slide down twice to get to it is crazy.
Edit: @westhaking beat me. Super Status Bar is by the same author as Bottom Status Bar, but I don't remember what one has that the other doesn't, so perhaps go by his recommendation first unless you like the idea of BSB better, or SSB doesn't quite do it for you.
Just a guess that SSB probably has the same weakness I found in BSB, that using its brightness slider abilities disables automatic brightness.
BSB works quite well, thank you. Did not know about its existence. You are right, it switches off automatic brightness but it can be switched back again in BSB near brightness toggle. Can be good as a temporary solution.
Another workaround is an accessibility shortcut which is an eye sore but can be also used for switching volume and screen off.

Awesome, glad you found a temporary workaround. Here's hoping there'll be a better permanent solution for us all, eventually. I wish I was a real Dev. I can only repackage stuff...sometimes. I just don't have the patience to learn enough to be a Dev.

Perplexed how nobody at Google development realised what an utterly stupid place the brightness bar is.
