Hey!
So I have the Redmi Note 5 China with Global Stable 9.5.5.0 and I have problems with front camera.
IF I take a selfie and I keep my phone a Little far from me, everything is in focus. If I go close to the phone , my face is out-of-focus and the background is in focus.
Is my camera broken?
anyone?
i dont find any pblm with front facing camera
It's normal, as the front camera has fixed focus point, so your face is going to be in focus only up to certain distance, for example at arms length, anything closer than that would be out of focus.
Go to the camera settings choose the opposition press hold nd press button nd select foucas
Is it possible to manually focus? If not, then your front camera may have been damaged, you can choose to repair your phone! This is a repair video of the front camera of Redmi note 5 pro. You can see it and hope to help you. Video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHeQJXdZDsg

After using my new Note 3 to take some photos while hiking over the weekend, I found out most were out of focus. Looking at how the camera works, it seems that when you take a photo the phone takes it immediately without focusing first. It will try to focus as you move it around but if it did not focus yet, it will not do so when you take the photo. On my Relay 4G as well as Galaxy Nexus (and pretty much any other phone I used) the auto focus will kick in right after you press the shutter button and will at least try to focus the picture. Is there any way to force the Note 3 to work the same way? I went through all the camera settings and did not see anything.

I've been using the tap to take the shot feature. It's is the camera settings. It's a great feature and works well. I like taking a handful of different shots but it works well for up close shots and distance shots. Once turned on you literally tap the screen where you want the camera to focus and it will focus on the area and take the shot. But yes like you I've noticed that sometimes pressing the shutter button sometimes does not achieve focus. Hope this he's as kind of a work around for you.

Mine have all auto focused though I do prefer to tap to focus. The times when I didn't tap, it went through its focus cycle and was fine. Perhaps its focusing on something else in the image frame? Maybe there is a smudge on the lens and its focusing on that and makes the rest of the image blurry.
Not a disaster but really got me curious.
I looked everywhere. There is always a user guide for the rear camera, never for the front as far as I could find. I just want to know what is that first option in the front camera settings. What does it do? (icon of hand holding phone and an arrow)?
Take a picture with front facing camera, then bring the phone down and it will automatically show the preview of the pic you took, that's If you have it "ON".
On the other hand, if its " OFF", there is no automatic preview.
Hope it helps =)
CAMERA ISSUE - Reversed Camera - Rear Camera opens "Front Camera Harware" vise versa.
Hi,
I am having this weird issue where my phone opens the "Front Camera Hardware" and thinks it's the rear camera and Rear Camera opens with the front camera settings and it shows a mirrored view.
Sometimes it just will not launch and will just show yung the Camera functions with a Black Screen.
Installing a different camera app makes it worse as the camera shows an inverted picture for both front and back cameras.
I tried to do a Factory Reset but it doesn't fix the issue.

Got the same issue on my realme 3 pro, found any fix yet?
When Whatsapp Camera is opened, it automatically goes to Wide Angle Mode and cant manually focus also (in my other phones, i can touch screen and focus the area i needed).
Did any one face this issue in S20 + 5G
Yes, I flip to the front facing camera then return to back camera and it works
I record in a slightly dark room. Focus works perfectly great, but the second a face pops into the frame, the camera looses focus and when the face leaves the frame, the camera has perfect focus again.
This is the main camera on the 6 Pro
I'm not tapping on the screen to focus, I'm just letting the camera / software do it's thing automatically
Latest update is December
Pixel camera is up to date.
Anyone else have this issue and any fix?
