I have tried several custom roms (Oreo 8.1) like jaguar and AEX and calling is not working. It seems like the phone cannot connect to 3G.
4G is working.
In the stock rom everything is working.
My baseband version is 1.7.X as the roms requires.
I have used sim slot 1 and 2 without any luck.
I make a clean flash when i change rom.
Any suggestions on how to get calling working?
Flash stock zui 2.5 with qifl. It will work as I was having the same problem.

Your baseband must be corrupted, flash 1.70 baseband.

Downgrade to 2.5 and then directly flash the custom ROM? Or should i update to latest zui oreo first?

I think,
1. QFIL 1.9
2. Test if call working
3. Flash 3.5
4. OTA to latest
5. Unlock bootloader + TWRP
6. Flash Custom ROM
7. Test call now.

Flash 2.5 through qifl then test if calls are working. If they are, then go back to custom roms. If they are not, update to 3.5.

Check if your efs partition is is fine. If it is corrupted then you have flash the xqcn file by editing it for your IMEI, there is one thread on that go through it.
Thank you for the help everyone. I found the solution after a long time.
Type this in fastboot:
fastboot -i 0x2b4c erase modemst1
fastboot -i 0x2b4c erase modemst2
fastboot -i 0x2b4c reboot

Hey guys,
Ever since I updated my Wileyfox a few days ago, it's gone to crap. Half my apps don't work, and they've removed features I really liked.
Is there any way to reverse this dreadful update and restore it to how it was?
Thanks in advance

Thanks very much Robin. Is that the cyanogen/android version prior to this latest OTA update? I'm looking for the official cyanogen, not cyanogenmod.
Do you know if I need to root my phone to be able to install it? Presumably I'd lose all my data?
Sorry for all the questions
EDIT: I think you sent the firmware for the Storm?

No its a signed Zip so should install on a stock ROM but be careful if you are downgrading the bootloader as that has been known to brick phones.
As far as I know the swift won't be bricked by this. But if you are worried I would use the fastboot zip and use a script to make sure everything is wiped first.

You don't need a custom recovery that is the whole point of it being a signed zip
unzip first?

if you can find the 12.1 fastboot zip you can revert back to factory reset stock by fastboot flashing:
Code:
fastboot flash splash splash.img
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot flash aboot emmc_appsboot.mbn
fastboot flash hyp hyp.mbn
fastboot flash rpm rpm.mbn
fastboot flash sbl1 sbl1.mbn
fastboot flash tz tz.mbn
and
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash cache cache.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash userdata userdata.img
fastboot flash system system.img
PM me if you cannot find cm-12.1-YOG7DAS2FI-crackling-signed-fastboot-07863145a7.zip

fastboot for zui and obviously twrp for anything else.
Fastboot works fine on linux, you just need to use it with root. There are quite a lot of images to flash though. I've a 1- click guide on zukfans, there is a batch for windows, but it will save you some typing and give you a point to start off.
I'm not sure if it works with locked bootloader, if locked and you want it to remain so, the only way is to use qpst/qfil or miflash, which are all strictly Windows software.

Thanks for your reply.
I don't think I need root for fastboot. My plan is to unlock bootloader and install a custom rom. I can probably unlock bootloader straight with fastboot command. However, I want to update baseband, as I have read LTE might not work without it. And for baseband I need a flash tool. I am coming from Sony and have plenty of experience in flashing, fastbooting and developing roms. In fact, my Jaguar rom is quite popular on Xperia Z1-Z3 threads. Can a baseband be extracted from stock firmware, so that it could be flashed via fastboot or TWRP? I doubt I can do it via TWRP. I don't have a Windows machine and even if I install Windows on VM, I doubt Qucomm's official software would work. Correct me, if I am wrong...

errr, I meant that you need to run fastboot as root on the Linux machine...w/e
You can flash the modem, which is also the "baseband" through fastboot. The modem firmware is called NON-HLOS.bin and you can find it in the qpst package of any ZUI available.
fastboot -i 0x2b4c flash modem NON-HLOS.BIN
fastboot -i 0x2b4c erase modemst1
fastboot -i 0x2b4c erase modemst2
Not sure if qpst works properly in a VM, although the firehose uses virtual port 9008 and I'm not sure if that can pass through. You shall test that for yourself, if you end up in need to use qpst.
I'm facing a weird problem with my wifi on nexus5x
I can only open/access wifi on just marshmallow 6.0.1 firmware which is MTC20K
I tried flashing around 6 different stock firmwares including the latest 4 oreo firmwares. On every firmware other than mtc20k i can't turn on wifi.
Any way to fix this on oreo or nougat?
Any one else having this issue?
Note : i have fixed BLOD. Is that the reason for this?

it does include vendor img but depends if it gets flashed you can try flashing it manually. Extract the vendor img from the zip and move it to the folder you have fastboot "installed" and flash it with the command fastboot flash vendor vendor.img if that doesn't help either maybe its because you're radio img doesn't match the firmware you have and you can re flash it with with the command fastboot flash radio radio-bullhead-yourfirmware'sradio.img you need to extract that to the fastboot folder too

Hi Guys,
since few days I try to install a custom rom on my eu xt1635-02.
I opended the bootloader offical way and installed the latest twrp. 3.2.0.1,all went fine, but factory reset deletes not all data and when I try to install a custom rom ( tried several) I always got an error 7 from twrp? So not possible to install something.
I come from latest offical Nougat 7.1.1 rom with february patch.
There are so many theads I was reading, but I think I need help. Also I can't find a definetly method how to root without risk of brik.
Sorry für my bad english, my german is better.

1. It's always hard to help without logs. Error codes are too unspecific
2. Check the mount settings, under the partition list there is an option for mounting /system as read only. It has to be disabled for installing custom ROMs.
Found something intresting, when I flash twrp without any problem and boot to system...then again tomorrow recovery via hardbuttons over bootloader there comes stock recovery????what ist that? Not able to go to twrp, only after new flash in fastboot.
Then you didn't flash it but just boot it
Hi bro.
I did face same problem here.
Follow the below steps:
Take download a nougat firmware, currently the "NPNS26.118-22-1"
Enter fastboot mode and type these comands:
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot flash dsp adspso.bin
fastboot flash oem oem.img
You can do on any rom. For example: You are on AEx nougat, enter fastboot mode and type the comands above.
I hope that helped you.

Current firmware is 118-22-2-17! Older builds could lead to downgrade issues!
Long story short bought a G5 Cedric running latest official firmware oreo 8.1, didn't like it cuz it's too heavy, unlocked the bootloader, flashed twrp then flashed lineage 17 but can't pass safetynet,(clean) flashed resurrection remix after same problem, then i flashed omni rom and suddenly my IMEI was gone and can't install gapps, what to do now? I just want a good custom rom that passes safetynet, don't care if it's pie or Q.
Flash a rom where imei works
Backup efs partition using 64bit twrp
You can then restore efs partition if you loose imei
With regards to safetynet none of the custom roms will pass without you doing some work
You need to flash magisk
Flash Busybox magisk module
Flash props config module and follow all the instructions on how to change device fingerprint eg to a pixel 4 https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-magiskhide-props-config-t3789228/
Hide magisk manager with a random package name from magisk settings
Hide app that detects root with magisk hide from its settings
You can also try the universal safetynet patcher magisk module if the above doesn't work but some report it causes bootloops on some devices/roms
Thank you for the quick response, i have a few questions regarding what you said:
1- how will i know which rom to flash where the IMEI works before flashing the actual rom itself?
2- how do i know if my current twrp is 64bit or not? it's the one from the Lineage 17 thread.
3- when im succesfull in executing those steps and i have to back up efs, where can i find it to restore it if i flash another rom again? because last time before flahsing i wiped system, dalvik & Cache & data but not the storage and yet my back-up was gone?

1 - You will have to try roms yourself to find out
2 - All custom roms from oero onwards are 64bit - you wouldn't be able to flash them without a 64bit twrp so you already have one
3 - data/media/twrp/backups or storage/emulated/0/twrp/backups
I recommend changing the storage location to your sdcard so they don't get deleted when you wipe data or transferring to a pc
Formatting data is effectively formatting internal storage as the device is encrypted

If rebuilding the efs doesn't work I do not know
Backup efs first incase it fails to rebuild and imei is 0 again - use a twrp 64 bit to back it up and obviously save to sdcard & pc incase you need to re-flash rom as wiping data will erase your backup on internal storage

If it doesn't work in rom then move back to stock Oreo and once you got the 4g take backup of efs and persist and move to custom ROM. If the 4g is available then no need to restore backup, if not restore the backup and enjoy 4g.

I wouldn't re-lock it for several reasons
1- you need the unlock code to unlock it again & Motorola will say its already been unlocked
2 - Even if you re-lock it it will still display its been unlocked previously
3 - if you ever need to flash stock firmware via fastboot again it may fail with permission denied as the firmware may not be fully signed & you can't flash unsigned firmware with a locked bootloader
4 - if you ota update & it it fails & you hardbrick then again same as point 3
If you really want to Google how to & you need fully signed firmware else it will not lock

I'm going to respond to each point you mentioned:
1- I still have the email from Lenovo containing the unlock code, do i need the same code to relock the bootloader?
2-are you sure it will still say it's been unlocked before?
3-what does fully signed mean? i searched through the link you sent me earlier and i found the same one that i flashed through LMSA, that is XT1676_CEDRIC_RETEU_DS_8.1.0_OPP28.85-19-4-2_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip is the one I flashed through LMSA not fully signed?
4-there's no updates anymore after the version i mentioned in point 3.
side question: does this method you mentioned still applies to relock the bootloader without the aforementioned issues?
PS: it still says ID: bad key on the bootloader unlocked warning, even though i retrieved my IMEI number, shouldn't it display my IMEI number instead of bad key?

You don't need code to lock bootloader - just to unlock it
Yes the bootloader will display its locked but will also give a status code that states its been previously unlocked
Fully signed means each part of the firmware has been signed by Motorola - sometimes the boot.img isn't
You will always get bad key or n/a with an unlocked bootloader - this is normal - you can flash a modded logo.bin to replace this
Those are the steps to re-lock the boot-loader - obviously oreo firmware has more sparsechunk so add the extra parts
