Latest update - Honor 7X Questions & Answers

So I checked the system update button and I still haven't received the emui 8 ota update but it is available the L24 on firmware finder for download for anyone of you who might have messed up their system files. Maybe you can now get back on the right track using that

There is already a thread here for the latest update here

On that note, thread closed

[Q] MC3 Ota Update

I was looking for hours on here searching for the ota update file for the MC3 update when I came across a thread that had a link to a dev host profile and when I clicked it, it said the file was deleted. So, I was wondering if anybody has the MC3 untouched ota update they could send me? I'm currently on the AT&T Note 2 using T-Mobile so when I go to check for updates through the System Updates under settings, it goes straight to the Update Interrupted screen and won't receive any updates. I'm assuming this is because I'm not on AT&T...I have restored all the way back to the first firmware and have made it up to MA4 and this is where I'm stuck. Lol.

B377 for BLN-L21C432 (europe)

I just discovered the update in Firmware Finder dated july 31. My device is Bln-L21C432...
I'm downloading all 3 files right now. Installing biggest file is best ?
You´re right.
*#*#2846579#*#* and 3 hardware buttons combo do not see update.app in dload.
Strange; B151 did not have PV in filename either.
BLN-L21C432B360.
I just like security updates
Sorry, that I don' t understand.
Dload did not work for me.
B360
I tryed to Install the B364 on my BLN-21 with the Firmware Finder app.
But in the last step, after the download,it comes not certified.
But here they say, there is a new Update for Europe:
http://www.stechguide.com/honor-6x-b364-nougat-update/
"Must be on stock recovery" + "Flash with Twrp".
Strange info. Thanks for the link anyway.
What for Update is it,and when will we get it in Germany OTA?
In the Firmware Finder i can find it and download it,but i cant install it,because it says not compatible file.
And when i search OTA for an Update,i got the message no Update available.

Just patience, over Firmware Finder can install only this update, which have -PV on name end. Just try to look older Nougat firmwares

Thanks a lot for your Help.
I looked in the Firmware Finder, and the Update is without PV ending.
Know i understand.
So i have to wait until the update is there with PV ending.
B365 is out now, only MF also, did anyone try to install this ? For some weird reason my BLN-L21C432 is still stuck on Marshmallow via official update.
But..... why ??? I want updates, now! It's just not fair
[serious] why is that russian site down ? http://hwmt.ru/oth/HWFF/info/view.php?find_model=
B366 OTA-MF is also available now, but... on official OTA updates I'm still stuck of B151.
Did anyone flash these MF firmwares?
Only 1 file of 129 mb. Say... uh ?

Contact Honor support, they may force update your device to nougat (they just need your phone's IMEI)

That's nice, thanks to this thread I've noticed the B365 update. It was strange since that system update kept saying to me that there was no update available when running it, while as i clicked on the 3 dots in the upper right corner I've noticed that the option "download latest update" was there anyway (where often it isn't there if there's nothing to download obviously). 2.45GB for latest security patch is a punch in the eye anyway :cyclops:

Don't think that it'll be possible to extract it now, i wanted to do that too when i went to Nougat from Marshmallow but after the update the system automatically erase the package.
off-topic: how do I change the topic line into: B365 for BLN-L21C432 (europe) ?
not possible ?

Update sequence after B101

Hi all,
I am one of the 7X owners who bought a phone with B101 firmware. Since I have not received any updates yet, I used the FirmwareFinder and succesfully upgraded to B102. The FirmwareFinder also offers the following updates:
BND-L21C432B102 to BND-L21C432B121 not approved for installation
BND-L21C432B121 to BND-L21C432B123 approved for installation
BND-L21C432B123 to BND-L21C432B124 approved for installation
Can I directly update from B102 to B124 or I should follow the sequence? Thanks!
Yeah, just checked, same here. Does anybody know if this is possible?
I am not expert, but from what I have seen. The updates are sequential. Unless the update file says full. It will only be patches.
If it does say full ota then you supposedly can jump from anywhere to that update
Another disappointment
I have the firmware BND-L21C432B102 too. I tried to install the next update which was approved for installation. This is BND-L21C432B130
It´s not possible to install the update.
I asked the honor support for updates. the said, that the next update for my phone is L21C432B124CUSTC432D002
The update will arrive in the next 90 days.

Updating the app won't get you oreo
Updates are pushed out in regions - they are geo restricted & also based on your current firmware
If you really want oreo the firmware from india/Brazil has been posted - just flash it via fastboot or just wait until they push it to your country & firmware version
Hey I was wondering, my wife just got her OTA notification for oreo and we have identical g5's cedric. I wanted to try to capture it on my phone so I restored to 137-93-14 and checked for updates.. It doesn't detect the ota.. Is it possible that having an unlocked bootloader and root prevents me from receiving it? I think I read somewhere that unlocked phones have it last. My wife's phone is totally stock untouched.
The reason I wanted to capture it even though the ota is everywhere on XDA is that I tried the twrp flashable oreo on my device and it didn't work. Which made me wonder if our update has something different than other phones (probably not) cause it seems that I'm the only one on the twrp oreo thread that hasn't been able to flash that update.
Btw I know I can't install official ota with my modified system I wasn't going to try it
