Hi
I have a problem running Easyband app. The menu of this app should be activated through a 3 dot button at right end of navigation bar. This is how it works on other smartphones.
However Mate 9 PD has a fixed 3 button navigation bar and so I am note able to reach the menu button of that app.
Any idea on how to solve this? I already instaled 2 or 3 apps that provide a new navigation bar, but thaT didn´t worked

Dear friends,
for an unknown reason I cannot access my " Settings" whatever you call it from the below right hand corner of the screen as it used to be, it's no longer there. The only other option of getting the phone settings is from on top of the screen which I do not like. Thanks for your help.

In ICS Android no longer has the menu button. Instead, apps now use the action bar. Any overflow from said bar now displays as 3 dots, which include actions such as settings.
Apps that haven't been updated to the new API's will display the 3 dots next to the multi-task button.
However, some custom roms allow you to persistently add the menu button to the navigation bar.
So, the short answer to your question would be to flash a custom rom.
Better get used to hitting the 3 dots, as Google is intent on phasing out the menu button
If you install a custom rom you can add the menu as a soft key

Thanks but I have always had the Menu Bar since when I bought it and there is no software upgrade up till now.
To hide and / or replace the navigation buttons on Xperia M I would like to recommend GMD AutoHide Soft Keys.
I have installed it and it works perfect

It is highly customizable
You can set the bar that appears when you slide from the bottom and hide by tapping the side
This lets you use the phone with the slightly larger screen

Thanks for the tip. One problem I keep having is hitting the home key instead of the space bar while texting. Very annoying! I will try this app and see if I can solve this problem and report back.
Edit: Okay, after a few hours playing with it (pro version) here are my experiences with it with Xperia M:
1) Changed my wallpaper without asking
2) Removed alarm notification from top notification tray, had to reset (turn off then on) my alarms to get it back
3) Removed battery percentage symbol from top notification tray, had to toggle it off and on in settings to get it back
4) "Spoof Soft Keys" option does nothing. What's it supposed to do? I am assuming it would make a clear space where the regular softkeys would be in effect pushing everything back up but toggling that option does nothing at all.
5) The quickbar does not work (cannot be swiped or tapped into view) when the far right icon "Recent Apps Button" is selected. You have to tap somewhere on the screen in order to back get out of recent apps view (the small apps launcher is probably too blame)
6) The selectable Xperia icons in the app are not the same as our Xpermia M icons

7) App doesn't work automatically on reboot with Xperia M. I had to actually click on its icon to get it to work again after a reboot. No good, uninstalled it

Yes, after two days of testing UDN is working fine for me too. Just sucks that you have to install a seperate module (Xposed) to make it work

You can use build.prop to hide the soft key navigator, so Xposed is no need. But I don't like this method, this seems to be a pain when undo if this UDN suddenly stop working
Is there anyway to enable the nav bar on the amazon fire phone ?
When I still used the LG E980 (G Pro) with Cyanogenmod 12. I can easily add a line of command on the build.pro file and then there will be the soft-nav-button. Is this available for amazon fire phone ?

I have just been using the no root version of Back Button by ogapps. Which makes a floating or pop up navigation bar using the built in accessibility options. Back Button is the only one I found so far that doesn't trigger the TTS bug where it starts reading all the text on the screen.
Go Launcher has a Back and Menu button integrated into the launcher. The only problem is that the menu bar covers the home button, but you can use the physical button.
what I mean is the actual nav bar like the nexus 5

Am I right that this allows the mapping of the physical buttons but not that the nav bar is visible again? I didn't find a way to make it visible after switching to LOS.
I using free version of button mapper only and only for emulating the missing HOME button

Well, the title. I really want the two button nav bar.
I know theres gesture nav bar, but i dont like it fully.
I want the back and home button to be tap and recent apps to be dragged up. Like two button. or home and recent apps swapped. At least the back button tap.
I also have done adb shell to get two button, but that was kinda "buggy", not fully implemented or removed.
I also have used the xda nav pill app, but it wasnt just the same. And hiding the original nav bar kinda ruined the phone.
So anyone have a solution or something? I also have stock android and oreo. I wonder if android pie works with two button on samsung?
