I need help guys I am devestated - Xiaomi Mi 5s Questions & Answers

so today i tried to get the new linage os on my xiaomi 5s and when is used TWRP i also wiped everything because a guide told me so. now i lost everything. i am just 15 years old i dont know what to do i need help. please, for the love of god if you can help me contact me on my email : [email protected] . i lost everything. i dont know how to tell it my parents i need help please

1°: Have you saved the rom, gapps and firmware in your Computer?
2°:If yes, go to your phone, in TWRP you will go to the "reboot" and then "recovery" session, your phone will restart and start TWRP automatically.
3°: Connect your phone to the computer and pass the rom, gapps and firmware to the phone's internal storage and install the rom.

What exactly did you push on in TWRP? The slider "Full wipe"? In that case all photo's and stuff should still be there when you install the same ROM you already had, given it wasn't MIUI. Besides that, a lot of things like the contacts app and Whatsapp generally backup on default if I remember correctly, so that should also be salvageable.

[Q] Accidentally deleted a system font, need help to get my phone working again

So yesterday I was using the Font Installer app on my HTC One M8 (AT&T) and I was trying to delete a font I downloaded. But on accident, I deleted the Clockopia font and Robotto font (two system necessary fonts). So I thought it would be fine, but it wouldn't let me do anything on my phone so I reboooted it. It now will only start in recovery (TWRP) and bootloader. If I try to boot the system, it says I have no OS, and I get stuck on the boot screen. I have wiped the data, and tried everything I could think of. I can't find a way to fix this problem and the phone is not going to work unless I get something done. I am going to the store to buy a MicroSD card for the phone, in case that is a way to help. Please, any help would be appreciated! I am generally new to the rooting world, so this was a dumb mistake, but please help if you can. I have found threads similar to this but none helped because this phone is different so certain ways to fix this won't work. Again, please help if you can!
What ROM are you using? You can try dirty flashing that ROM again. If you're in ATT stock, just download the ruu and run that. It's going to wipe everything on your internal storage, so copy the things you want to a microsd card before you do
The problem is that I already wiped everything, but it says I have no OS anymore. Like I said, I am no pro with this stuff so I basically just have a phone sitting in recovery. I am currently trying to use ADB to load a file to the device but its a whole ROM (hoping that will help put the fonts back where they were) so I can flash it when it's on the phone. When I slide to start the adb sideload, it disconnects and won't pop up in the Device Monitor, but as soon as I stop the sideload I can see all of the files in my computer. So I'm not sure what I can do with this. Thank you for the reply, but I was on Android Revolution HD before I accidentally deleted the font. Now I'm trying to download it again!

Put the ROM onto your extSD, and flash it in recovery. Your phone will work again.
Hey guys thanks again for the help, I fixed it all with the flashing of a ROM again and I'm now posting this with my phone! You guys helped really quick, I appreciate it!

[Q] Bought a Note 3 on CL 6 months ago and rentacenter locked it today

Hey guys, I hope y'all can help out.
Back in December I bought a Note 3 on craigslist and all was well with it until today when I received a message from rentacenter saying they have locked the device.
Can anyone please suggest how I can make this phone functional again? I read in another forum that someone with an S5 was able to flash CM12 on his phone and that got rid of lock message.
Go 4 It! Get a new sim also.
You can probably root and flash any custom rom.
I used the following method posted by ttn1185 here on XDA.
PLEASE READ ALL THE STEPS FIRST and ASK QUESTIONS IF YOU ARE NOT CLEAR.
Download Odin3_v3.09
Download TWRP or any other custom recovery of your choice.
Download Cyanogenmod 12 for G900T : https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=klte -> Put this on your external microSD card. You can use internal storage as well.
Download GApps for Cyanogenmod 12 http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Google_Apps#Downloads -> Put this on your external microSD card. You can use internal storage as well.
Run Odin and flash TWRP or any other custom recovery of your choice to your phone. This will set KNOX security flag to 1, meaning no more warranty for the phone if you send it to Samsung to repair something else.
Boot into custom recovery ( with phone off, press and hold Volume Up and Home keys while turning on the phone ) and Wipe System, Dalvik, Cache and Data. This will erase everything on the phone. No need to do ROM back up as we have Stock ROM available for this model to go back if needed. Your choice.
Flash/Install Cyanogenmod 12 zip file and then GApps zip file
Reboot
Let your phone sit for 10 minutes.
To the ultra novice people. I'll add a few extra details.
Download the Odin app and install it on your computer.
Flash the latest version of TWRP using odin and download the .tar version. Also, when you're flashing twrp w/ odin, check the second box that says "AP" and select twrp file.
On TWRP, before installing CM, go to the wipe option on twrp and select advanced wipe. After that, check the following boxes and slide to wipe : cache, data, system, & dav cache.

I don't know how to root but I was able to follow another threads instructions and get my phone running on CM12. I noticed that my s-pen doesn't work using this so I tried to use another custom rom that utilitzes TW but the RAC lock came back. Looks like the only thing you can use is CM for a device after RAC locks it. If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know.
If you look in the general section there is a post to get your pen working on AOSP roms
in twrp or cwm do a full back up efs everything boot ect
save that folder with all those saved things to your desktop just in case backup your entire rom stock rac crappe done just in case
now i would full erase rom clear internal data where twrp says ar eyou sur eyou want to reboot there is no os !!
then flash another rom or debloated oem ver see what happens
how rac does this idk
you could also see what happens when booting in safe mode ? if rac locks come back or if you can use titaniumbackup pro to freeze rac app while rooted and or keep off wifi is somehow detecting somthing right idk
figured id toss a few pennys out there if all else fail reload from backups
ive only seen a red rac screen on a laptop before it was pretty cool actully and it was @ pwn shop so it was funny to me

i don't see an rac apk, so i don't know how they're doing it.
Does anyone know how to :
a: stop auto play when connecting to the bluetooth car stereo? Kind of goofy having the Samsung song kick on every time I crank the truck and connect the phone.
b: Have info showing when using pandora? When I was on TW, all the info including artist , song, album would populate on my display but w/ CM12, I don't get that info on my screen anymore.
Thanks again to the guys posting in this thread. I'm pretty new to CM and it's been really helpful getting tips from you guys.

[Q] Wiped internal storage on n7100, bricked it

First post of as long time lurker, so wanted to say hi!
The question is, and you good people are my last hope, is there any way to bring my n7100 back to life after wiping the internal storage?
The story is that i had this phone for almost a year (bought second hand) running several roms (dn3, dn4 and others). Yesterday wanted to switch from ressurection rom to nameless 5.1.1. Flashed twrp to replace the cyanogenmod recovery which was no use here. Resetted it to the latest twrp and wanted to go ahead with flashing the new rom. But, somehow i lost it and wiped the whole internal storage, so lost everything but some mp3s and zip files with rom, gapps and supersu for the one i wanted to start using. Of course after wiping the internal memory i am not able to flash anything on it, only thing i can do is to access either download mode or twrp. Tried to bring it back to life by flashing stuff via odin but all i get is failed after trying to flash the bootloader, both with the pit file and without it. I am aware that this is my really major mess-up but i would like to ask people who are way smarter by me in such cases, is there any way to save this phone? As i mentioned, you guys are my last resort, because i am left without my daily driver, no working pc (tried to flash with odin from my gf's laptop) and being financially ruined, so any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers for reading and any help

I don't get it. You wiped internal, so just copy rom to storage and flash.
you can also try THIS

If your custom recovery is ok no problem at all, copy your rom in a fat32 USB flash drive (you need an adapter to change the port from normal USB to mini or a flash drive with mini USB port) connect to phone mount with your recovery and flash it from there. Both twrp and philz can do this, also philz can mount ntfs and other formats.

I tried, but i am not able to, when trying to flash the rom it showed as not compatible, because it's for n7100 etc, while when the phone got connected to a pc it showed up as t03g, whatever that means.

T03g is the n7100, your phone is n7100 correct? Also the rom you downloaded is for n7100, you downloaded from here
http://sourceforge.net/projects/namelessrom/files/n-2.1/n7100/
if you are not sure if your phone is n7100 put the battery out and check what is writing.

Good question

Bluetooth problem after flashing TWRP

Hi,
I flashed TWRP on my unlocked Redmi Note 8T with MIUI Global 12.5.5. Everything was great until I rebooted it and saw Bluetooth error which pops every time I try to turn Bluetooth on or just randomly during usage of the device. I also tried to re-flas TWRP with Orange fox but it unfortunatelly did not help. Now I have no idea what to do but there are also some other people with this problem (for example:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/comments/y9zsak
).
Does anybody know any solution? Thanks!
Btw Orange fox is for ginko devices, I did not find version for willow
I had the exact same problem when I tried to root my stock rom in ginkgo. I was getting a lot of "app keeps stopping" pop ups, and that also included bt. My bt was completely broken until I changed rom. Also I'm guessing this had happened when I had rooted my phone with magisk, not by flashing recovery itself. Perhaps you could try to uninstall magsik, and see it it resolves the issue for you. If that would be the case, then you would have found your problem, and maybe you can flash a custom rom to safely root your phone.
Thanks for reply, but i did not have magisk flashed on my phone. I only had installed the app, prepared apk file and did nothing in TWRP (Orange fox) , just flashed a recovery with my PC, checked that it is working and rebooted device. Anyway I tried to do it only because of acces to NFC and Gpay which is now blocked.
As you also said, I would like to try custom rom (like LineageOS) because it seems like bad idea to have a stock room on an unlocked phone. Only the problem is how to backup data like data from apps, games etc.
So now it tried one of my ideas, which was to install Magisk (root) and uninstall it but it also did not help (I expected that)

To backup data simply copy your personal files in pc or sdcard. And to backup data in apps, take back-up of only those apps and where you need to backup. Don't take a complete backup using some app. That consumes a lot of space and make the newly rom feel "not so new". Most apps don't require you to take back-up offline these days. I usually backup only my personal files before flashing rom.
Yeah, that's true. But don't you know how to backup data from these "offline" apps? I was trying to solve this also before unpocking bootloader like a year ago but unsuccessfuly.
Also, which rom should I choose? I'm deciding between LineageOS and Pixel experience.
So I have LOS installed but I can´t install other zip files (like Google apps). Im only getting error: signature verification failed while. Im using LOS recovery so where is the problem?
Solved it!
Hey @vasik006 ! I know this is very late and you might have found the solution yourself, but I found the solution to this problem. Since yesterday I was trying to root my ginkgo with twrp, using magisk delta and had exact same issue. Joyose and bluetooth keeps stopping, and don't work. Simply factory reset ( I also formatted data) in twrp, and in next boot bluetooth should work. Then you can simply install the magisk apk and let it do its thing. No need to flash again since it has already made changes to boot file that can't be overriden by resetting phone.
Thanks, this might help someone else with this problem. I have already formatted my phone, installed Lineage OS and everything is ok
For me, the problem with BT and Joyose occurs only with TWRP v3.7.x. I went back to TWRP v3.6.1_9-0 but now backups are not working.

TWRP is invaluable for backing up the system before making changes like theming etc. and I can take a TWRP backup to any of my (all the same) devices and restore the whole thing in just a few minutes. So convenient! I really couldn't imagine life without TWRP. TWRP enables me to clone my device in case of hardware failure. All my settings and all my apps and all my custom configurations which would otherwise take hours/days to setup - BAM! Presto! on the new device and running perfectly.
TWRP + NeoBackup are essential. TWRP as described, and NeoBackup to roll back breaking updates to apps when devs butcher them, break them, and/or just remove really useful features. I also disconnect apps that get ruined by an update from the Play Store so they don't keep coming up when I check for updates.

I would advise you to read the posts again. They were asking about how to take backup of "personal apps" which twrp can't do, and if they are changing ROM then twrp backup won't be of any use to them. Therefore, whatever you're trying to tell here doesn't really help the discussion.

TWRP does backup personal apps and their settings. Once you restore a TWRP backup, you have everything back except media files - images, videos, documents, etc. The launcher icons, the apps, the system settings - everything is a perfect clone which you can restore on a new device (same model, of course).
I actually came across this thread searching to see if others had a problem where merely flashing TWRP caused Bluetooth to crash (and Atmos).
Use OrangeFox
is there anyone use BT-fix-for-PE-20190618.zip to fix this problem ?
I'm on an ROG Phone II with the same issue.
The "fix" is to wipe in TWRP and install Magisk BEFORE you leave for your first boot and NEVER come back to TWRP as the issue will return the second recovery is booted.

From what I can tell, this is correct. 3.6_XX-X allows me to come and go from TWRP as much as I please without incurring the bug, however, I haven't tested backup though I can't see a reason why they wouldn't work.
Are these existing backups that aren't working or the whole backup function in general?

It seems to be a twrp issue. What version do you have? And what version of magisk do you have?
I have recently flashed miui 12 (android 10) after bricking the phone using qtel. I noticed the Bluetooth problem last week and didn't find a fix. I have twrp 3.6.2 and magisk 25.1. I had twrp 3.7.1 but if failed to decrypt data using pattern so I rolled back to 3.6.2. And I thought that magisk had to do with the Bluetooth problem so I rolled back to 25.1 from 26.
I still can't use the Bluetooth, and I don't have time to reset the phone, I just finished restoring everything
I CAN CONFIRM
go back to the previous twrp 3.6.2 version + wipe factory reset or simply format data solve sucesfuly solve installation issue of Magisk 26.1 or Magisk Delta 25210

I can't afford resetting my phone right now , don't have enough time. I'll let it like that for some months.
Edit : I have miui 12.0.6 installed (android 10) and I'm not planning to upgrade since I have much better battery life (even better than every mod I tried). I wander if I flash miui rom from recovery can fix it?
Edit 2: flashing the rom from recovery didn't fix it
