It's extremely frustrating that I can't set live wallpaper as lockscreen. All live wallpapers are greyed out when I try to set lockscreen wallpaper. I am rooted and on stock rom. Is there any workaround for this?

Seriously? I am happy with xposed and have no time for custom roms which may be unstable mostly. I just want this basic feature to work, I don't know why Oneplus would overlook it.

Exactly. This bug should be fixed by an official update by Oneplus.
Hey guys. Time to switch custom for me and at the moment I"m choosing between RR vs Dirty Unicorns vs Nitrogen. Really need help choosing (comments, experience, pros and cons). I know, I can flash all of them and choose, but first I don't want to spent so much time and 2nd it's always better to start with best one.
Thanks.

Even if you found someone who will bite, "best" is based on your own criteria. In my case I liked AquariOS the best but that's just me. I'm actually back on stock as I dig the squeeze function and the easy monthly updates. Once I get tired of stock again I'm sure I'll be back on AquariOS as it was rock solid and fit me like a glove. Just my 2 cents...

It's hard to say which Rom is best , only way to find out which one you prefer is to flash and see. I've tried Aquarios , Dirty Unicorns, Nitrogen , and am currently on Pixel Dust , which is a really nice rom too., i really like how it comes with Black amoled theme ... all are very good roms and you can't go wrong with any of these ,I also really wanna give Resurrection Remix a run too, as that was one of my favorites on my galaxy s5 days , but i'm on may security patch , so patiently waiting for an update for that rom and Aquarios . :good:

I've only run DU, but can tell you it is solid. DU coupled with Flash kernel and I haven't run into an issue yet that wasn't user error, get around 5 hrs SOT, but I'm on it a lot
That said, cust Roms are like batt life; the best, most accurate comparison is done on your own device, using your individual setup.
This is the 1st phone that I am completely content to stay on stock with custome kernel with Xposed.
Xposed Edge, Android Pify, uniformed transitions and gravity box will give you all if not more features.
For themeing Substratum + andromeda.
Plus xprivacy to block analytics from facebook, instagram, etc...
Adaway + youtube vanced. Plus active edge app customization with edge sense plus.

I've been using P as my daily driver since March. DP2 is really good. There are a few quirks like Visual Voicemail not working but overall its a solid daily driver IMO

Full OMS support, fully functioning Now Playing, Carbon gestures to name a few.
Dev preview 3 drops in a couple days, I'm guessing mid next week if you want to wait a bit for a more stable release.
The things for me are all the usability improvements; volume slider, gestures, etc

Flash kernel
Quick settings is a combination of
"nougat / oreo quick settings" to add specific tiles
"Substratum + subtweaks" - to change how many tiles are in the drop down quick settings
"SystemUI tuner" to change the number of quick settings in the first row when there are notifications in the pulldown.

Xposed edge is an app that requires xposed framework. The app has so many things it can do. I use it for gestures.
Edge sense is working on stock oreo. Not sure about P.
Here are a couple.photos of how the gestures I have setup.
There is never a navbar on screen so the whole screen is used.
Dear all,
I love the dual app feature on MIUI and I'm already using it. Is there any other AOSP roms with this feature, NATIVELY SUPPORTED?
I don't want to install a third party app from Google Store, MIUI has it natively supported and it's working flawlessly so far.
Regards.

So how come it's working flawlessly in MIUI? I guess it shows that MIUI is a really well developed ROM. I don't understand why people choose custom ROMs over MIUI... Just because Oreo and Pie difference?

You would never understand the difference to play games at high resources then, and google camera, and no secret ads, and so on, and so on.
AOSP gives you a lot of free space and resources to work with. You would not understand why people prefer AOSP based ROMs unless you actually try one.
And as for dual app feature, you can try using Parallel Space

Dude..just get miuipro or masik if you need stable dual apps and they also have miui gcam and all ads removed.
Dont listen to these AOSP praisers.
Miui is almost flawless as of now.

I don't really play games on my phone, I play games on my awesome laptop CS:GO and Dota 2. I have Google Camera on my MIUI too, arnova port. Also no ads. However, AOSP ROMs don't have dual apps feature and they need a third party software for this. MIUI doesn't

Agreed, I'm pretty much happy with MIUI. I was just wondering if there is such AOSP ROM, so maybe I could give it a try. Dual apps feature is a MUST for me, as I have multiple accounts on some platforms and I have to be online on them all.
What's the difference between Masik and MIUI Pro? Which one would you recommend?

Here's the thing, idc with what games did you play on your laptop. But if you need a high frames and high quality games, you would need another rom because last time I checked miui is limiting user to do so. And it's a gift for me. Anyway, it's my two cents, no one is forcing you here.

Thank you for your 2 cents! But like I said, dual apps feature is very important for me, so I wish there was an AOSP ROM which natively supports it. Then I'd surely go on AOSP ROM too!

I would recommend you to use parallel space. There are also some other apps like Dual Space ,2accounts,moChat etc
Now to answer the question of the thread,no there is no custom rom built from source which supports dual apps feature as they are just bare vanilla roms with some tweakings here and there. Many people including me prefers that as they don't need that much feature of miui and some also hate the miui interface.
Now if you want to use some other custom rom which has dual apps support then go for treble roms like Funtouch OS,oxygen OS,colour OS and Zen UI roms .Since these roms are not built from source, they have some bugs here and there but it's worth a try if you are feeling adventurous and are looking for roms with dual apps feature

I recommend you to think again.
Xiaomi Cloud home screen does not backup MIUI dual apps.
TWRP does not backup MIUI dual apps.
TitaniumBackup does not backup MIUI duap apps.
TWRP does backup Parallel space app.

If you don't what AOSP is, I suggest you to stick with the stock rom.
About the Russian roms mentioned above, use roms only from trusted sources like Lineage OS. There are shady people out there and you will never know what is inside the rom.
You can use app cloner to do that. By this software you can create your own app. That can work as a dual app. By app cloner you will be able to create infinite amount of copy's of that app. And you can use 100+ account together if you got space .
So, you can try app cloner on miui for a test. And also app cloner is filled with other amazing features as well

Hey guys,
Just wanted to know which rom you are using and the reason behind it.
I am using xiaomi.eu 10.2 stable, I am basically using it because of stability. I previously used pixel experience for a while, it was a bit of a hassle to boot it up.Since the dev was inactive and the rom had some bugs I had to use miui which I am not a big fan of.
The goal of this discussion is to find out if anyone is using stock android like roms without any issues.
Thanks

I have the Chinese device, with the Chinese developer vendor image. Installation was just the usual, flash vendor image, flash rom, format data, flash Magisk.
Stock global, because I think MIUI is cool, and I bought this phone for that.

That's about where I was, other than the notification nightmare which made it close to unusable for me. I just couldn't see the point, my conclusion being it's designed for people who like themes, which aren't my cup of tea.
Yeah notifications are a disaster. I thought MIUI was cool and I have all the pixel XL devices too, so I have choices.
Sent from my Mi MIX 3 using Tapatalk
There are a couple apps for which I get notifications but no sound, most notably Google Keep and Settle Up. Other than that, I don't have major issue with notifications since 10.2 update.
Stock Chinese ROM with Nova Launcher Prime for me. I like the lack of Google trash, like Chrome, not being needed to use and access the Play Store. Literally the most bloat-free experience after uninstalling the Chinese bloat that isn't needed.
Dev eu rom. Since the first release. Happy with it. No problem at all.
Cn device with global Rom, I like MIUI battery management last all day with heavy use.
Xiaomi.eu weekly with Nova prime on top.
I really like it and notifications work fine it is just a little bit annoying that you have to set app specific settings for them to work properly though.
Guys what's the notification issue you're talking about?
Im on global miui too but i dont know exactly what it is?

Which messaging app are you using? For me, I could never get notifications to work properly with Google Messages, and with the native Messages app, group messaging didn't work, nor does it have a desktop interface. This may have improved with the more recent releases, but Pixel Experience was so good I have no need to bother trying MIUI again (the other big thing it was missing is the smart unlock functionality).

It's very smooth and it has awesome battery life (probably the best I have experienced in this phone). I think this is probably due to the "all dark/black" theme in it. I like it a lot. Only thing I haven't gotten to work yet is the Adaway app. Everything else, works like a charm.
