I recently cahged my phone and I have some issues with my watch. I bought a Nokia 7 Plus with Android 8.1 and my watch can't properly show pictures from apps like WhatsApp and Gmail. Another issue is that I can't install and use some apps from the store like PDF Reader. With my older phone I don't have this issues (Lg G3 Dual LTE, Android 6.0). I did factory reset many times on my watch but no succes. Is there a fix for this?

So here's the problem I have. My smartwatch 3 broke. I sent it to Sony Mobile Repair Canada and they sent me a replacement unit. Now In Android wear I selected "Forget Watch" and synced my new one.
The only thing is after doing that, the new watch doesn't recognize any apps I install on it through the google play store i.e. my purchased watch faces, nor does it have stock apps like find my phone of flashlight no matter how many times I reset and Re-sync.
Will rooting my watch fix this? Or do I need to wait for an update from Sony?
Also the Software version is 4.4W.2
Have you tried repairing by Sony PC Companion? You should get 5.1.1 through it, too.
I'm using Android Wear with my LG Urbane 2nd Edition paired to my ZenFone 2. The LGU2 is able to pair/connect with the phone using Wi-Fi or Cell data (using the SIM in the watch). Since I've updated to the newest firmware, this cloud sync feature doesn't work at all. I've had no issues with this for the 9 months I've had my watch until now. I unpaired my watch and paired with a different Android phone and the cloud sync feature worked. Did Cloud Sync stop working for anyone else using a AW watch?
Any help or advise would be appreciated.
I can't copy my google account to my LG urbane watch with Android wear 2.0, just seems to sit and there on the phone and never move on, tried both on the initial set up and once pair in the settings.
on build P2a42_S233_170404_ROW.
Have reset both the phone and watch multiple times and nothing.
Connects fine to my LG g4, so seems to be a problem with the phone not the watch.
Can anyone confirm they have managed to connect any Android wear 2.0 devices to the P2 on this build?
i just received my p2 today and also set it up on android wear 2.0 urbane (1. gen) ... everything works so far...
I recently just dug up my moto 360 after a year of not using it. The watch works fine however it doesn't allow me to use google maps on it. This applies to both turn by turn navigation and also regular map viewing. the problem persist regardless whether i launch navigation manually through my phone or through the google assistant both on phone and on the watch. I've tried resetting the watch, re-sync but to no avail and i'm getting an error message that says it didn't work, please try again.. Below are the build details.

Hi guys
So, I've recently picked up my 8 year old Sony SmartWatch 2 and some wristbands for it since mine constantly self destroyed themselves, being the reason i stopped using the watch in 2017 or so.
So, I use a Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) with android 10 and one ui 2.0 and I installed the Smart connect version 5.7.35.0001 as recommended in one of the posts here I believe and I've sideloaded the Smartwatch 2 host app both found on sony's website (https://www.sony.com/electronics/su...es-xperia-smart-devices/sw2/articles/00241423) and one found on the same post in XDA that i saw for the companion app. The thing is, I can't get the text companion app (the official one) to show up on the watch and on the host app after being sideloaded, neither the gmail, the call manager and anything at all.
I've tried anything from resetting the watch a bunch of times to installing older versions of the host and smart connect app, but i still can't get it to work.
Can anyone help me please? I really like this watch
