Has anyone, with a carrier who is rolling it out, had RCS messaging enabled on their device? I'm with Vodafone in the UK and it hasn't been enabled for me yet and am unsure if its the device or the fact I'm using LineageOS
No idea about your carrier support, but I think Google enabled it in the stock messenger when they changed the name to Android Messages
Somewhat of a specific question: I have T-mobile and am wondering if the Nokia 6 (2018) will support RCS if/when T-mobile rolls out support (supposedly this quarter). I'm using Android Messages and do not see the Chat feature in the Advanced settings which would indicate RCS is supported and enabled.
Thanks!
Correct.
RCS is enabled by default and Google Messages will use it and tells you automaticly about the chat function.
For me it took a few hours before Google Massages told me the RCS chat is working now.
So you are on T-Mobile with a Nokia 6.1 and are using RCS? I still don't have any indication it is using RCS.
I have a problem with both AT&T as well as Verizon. Incoming texts eventually will stop coming in for the line that is not being used for data. When I switch the data sim, they will eventually start coming in, then the other sim will not receive texts.
Anyone else having this problem?
RCS texts enabled? Check the messages settings.

No such setting I could find, but I do have chat features enabled. On my Verizon account RCS is enabled for a Pixel that we have on the same account.
So far the texts are working on both lines of service, I am pretty sure my problem was caused by the Magisk Module "Universal GMS Doze." Disabled it, and does not seem to have any battery saving on this phone, on my Pixel it did save battery.
Not sure how many people out there got eSIM working with AT&T on their Fold 3. But 2 or so weeks ago I went into AT&T and got them to get eSIM working on my Fold 3. It's been working great till recently. I think it might have been with adding a 2nd line (Tello).
SIM1 = Tello
eSIM = AT&T
right now Tello works great. AT&T... I can get Text and data but I can't make any phone calls or receive any phone calls. Anyone else using the DUAL setup?? I went in to get a new eSIM and same thing. Can't make or receive call but I can text and receive text and get data.
I have removed the Tello Sim card for good measure. Rebooting a good dozen times and no matter what I can't get AT&T to dial out or get calls.
Any ideas??
Honestly sounds like the esim from att wasn't provisioned correctly. I'd try to get them to remove it from their system and readd it

i was warned about this scenario by an ATT Manager; he said that the physical sim had to be an ATT sim. i have an unlocked ATT Z Fold 3, however, i haven't tried using another carrier's sim/esim. I also have a network unlocked, ATT S22U with a T-Mobile eSim and an ATT physical sim. phone calls and text msgs work fine, as long as i use Samsung Messages (no the Google version). if i use Google's version of messages, group chats don't always work.
I have an unlocked fold 3 and use a Google Fi physical sim, and had a GSMA (AT&T) eSIM with Red Pocket. Both worked perfectly fine with no problems. Phone calls, texts and data were flawless on both networks.
Google Messages does have an issue it with dual sim. For example while connected to the mobile network if your preferred sim is set to the physical sim, but you try to send an mms with the number associated with the eSIM you will have to switch to the eSIM to send it. Chat messages are effected the same way. Text messages don't seem to be impacted that I have encountered. Receiving messages seems to be effected in the same manner. Google Messages works normally when connected to WiFi and using RCS Chat
Since we can only have one data connection active on one sim at the same time, Google Messages gets weird about it. The issue is not present with Samsung Messages or Textra. Until Google updates the Messages app to fix the issue you will have to either change the preferred sim back and forth, use RCS on WiFi only, use Samsung Messages or use another 3rd party messaging app that has dual sim properly working.
Also be aware changing the preferred sim will also make it the default for messaging and phone calls. For some reason we lack the setting to specify which sim for calling and messaging. So if your eSIM is the primary number you use and switch to the physical sim, all your calls/messages will come from the physical sim. Using the shortcuts i mention below won't fully resolve this either. You can use an app like multi sim selector to help with the calling, but the messages you will have to be aware of what number your messaging from (sim 1 or sim 2) or the above suggestions.
@OP - Might be worth getting a hold of AT&T and asking them to make sure the eSIM is provisioned correctly on your (and AT&T) end. If it was working and then not it sounds like an AT&T issue.
I'm not sure if this applies here, but I've read a few comments on the AT&T forums AT&T prepaid doesn't play well with eSIM. I can't verify that to be true or not since I don't have the prepaid service through AT&T.
Meanwhile make sure you have set the eSIM up properly in the sim card manager. At first my eSIM did not have the APN selected as active, I had to manaually mark it as such... Secondly does the call/text issue occur when the eSIM is set as the primary sim? If so go through and double check the sim card manager settings so you have DSDS enabled.
You might want to get an app like Quick Shortcut Maker and look for "Mobile Network".. There are a few sim manager settings that might help resolve some issues your having. I attached an image to help find the shortcuts.
Anyone know a way to get RCS and Video Calling working on the unlocked firmware?
I'm guessing ever since Alliance Shield X lost there Knox functionality we are SOL.
I don't use video calling except on What's App, but I'm on unlocked and RCS is fine with Google Messages app. Am I missing something or you're asking about something different?
